The difference between England and Europe when it comes to Reggae music we appreciate it more. Only Birmingham UK one me see people stand up like them except the artist to pay them council tax and rent. Anywhere else in the UK the people them embrace Reggae music to the max. NYC their vibes is a bit like Birmingham UK dead as rassclaat. The artist said if them need some more love songs you can heard the one little batty man in the crowd a shout no. I can bet him nuh have no woman beside that will faint when Romain chill the ladies. Same fvcking ignorance in Birmingham UK, they brought the Jamaican ignorance with them to the city.
Issue here was this was a soca crowd. Machel was the headliner and they announced Romain was going to be on the show maybe a week beforehand so most people were there for Machel.
You do know music ain’t life or death ? If you enjoyed it what does it matter what others do? However , you sound slightly unhinged with your comments but worse is your slight ignorance & generalisations . I,m aware from plenty elders that Birmingham was known as the capital for reggae ie was appreciated long before London which I hear was once more orientated to soul I hear all the big reggae greats enjoyed their best shows in Birmingham back in the day Culture , Sanchez, mighty diamonds , frankie Paul , Marcia Griffiths ,Jimmy cliff etc often to sold out crowds Perhaps you were not born at the time or was not living in the UK. If you enjoy romain Virgo like I do , just enjoy it rather than get paranoid bout others or inferring that someone who don't like the music has "no woman" That's sounds daft .What I do notice is one too many selectors play a narrow selection of songs - only what’s trending .They rarely seem to showcase great modern lovers & roots reggae singers but rather dancehall djs Maybe this might explain why some folk are not familiar with virgo catalogue of music . Music is a subjective thing you can't force people to like or appreciate what you like .For me Virgo is a brilliant artist , great songs & great vocals. If I pay to enjoy the artist why would I be watching what others do or think .Focus on what brings you joy rather than childishly asserting who and who is a b man .If your up in your feelings or perturbed about other attendees at shows have a shot of wray & nephew over proof to calm you nerves next time 😊
