- This installation guide will help you get the most out of our Professional Beyond Ceramic Paint Coating M88800.
0:11 Wash - Wash the vehicle using a pH-balanced car wash and dry it.
0:24 Iron Decontamination - Spray an iron decontaminant and agitate with a wet wash mitt and rinse thoroughly.
0:40 Remove Bonded Contaminants - Use detailing clay and a spray detailer to remove bonded contaminants.
0:59 Paint Correction (Optional) - Use compound and polishes to remove paint defects.
1:42 Final Prep - Remove all oils from the paint using a surface prep product. Repeat the process and inspect the paint with a paint inspection light.
2:19 Application - Liberally apply the coating to the included microfiber applicator and place face down on the paint, pushing and twisting for 5 seconds to prime it. Apply in a small section using 50% overlapping strokes in a crosshatch pattern. Let dwell for 2-4 minutes. Add more coating to the applicator as needed or if the product becomes difficult to spread. If coverage is not even, try using slightly more pressure or try using slightly more product.
3:23 Wipe Off - After letting the product sit and dwell for 2-5 minutes, buff coating off with a clean microfiber until no visible product remains. Discard towels after use.
3:40 2nd Coat (Optional) - This coat is to ensure even coverage. You can immediately start the 2nd application, or wait up to, but no longer than, 2 hours.
3:52 Inspect - Inspect paint in good lighting to ensure the coating is leveled. If excess product exists, level with a clean microfiber. Keep vehicle dry for 24 hours, coating is fully cured after 7 days. Do not wash our use chemicals for at least a week.
4:32 Recommended Maintenance - Use a pH-balanced car wash frequently. Use a ceramic-based detailer or spray wax as often as desired to keep the coating looking and performing its best. Do not use clay, compound, polish, or waxes on the coating as these will remove or diminish the effect of the coating.

Just bought mine, cant wait to apply it! Whats the recommended temperature for application? I dont have access to a climate controlled garage. Also, the end says do not use liquid wax products on top, what about your hybrid ceramic wax spray? Is that product ok to use on top? Thanks!!!
Our M888 is very forgiving and does not require a specific temperature range. It does require at least some humidity to fully cure in the recommended 7 days meaning you would not want to apply it in freezing temperatures with zero humidity.

can the hybrid ceramic pre wax be used for minor paint correction before applying M888?
You really wouldn't want to do that because the Hybrid Ceramic Prep actually leaves some SiO2 protection behind and as you likely know coatings should be applied to a bare surface.
Can this be applied to headlights to prevent yellowing?

Hey guys! Excellent video as always. But why is it called "beyond" ceramic paint coating? Is it any different than a traditional ceramic coating?
Although built upon learnings from previous technology the formula is different than traditional SiO2 based products. It offers better durability, water beading, slickness & gloss than our previous coatings while containing 100% actives (no flashing off carries like other coatings or waxes). You should experience a very easy application with low risk of high spotting and easy wipe off.

Hello Meguiars, I already have the product but I have a question, my car is almost new, it has no scratches, I don't need to polish it, I think so, and I wash with Meguiars ceramic shampoo and then ceramic quick detailer. Should I remove those products from my paint before using m888? or if I can apply it like this?
When applying most coatings, including this one, you want the surface to be totally bare. That being the case using a ceramic wash or detailer beforehand would not be recommended but in theory, they will be removed when you follow the proper application steps outlined in this video.

Hello, sorry, I have another question. I already applied the m888. Can I continue using old products like waterless and hybrid ceramic detailer? no protection from m888? Because waterless is not ceramic, maybe the ceramic detailer could work but I'm not sure about that.
The Hybrid Ceramic line of products including the Hybrid Ceramic Detailer is exactly what we would recommend for maintenance after applying a coating. As far as the Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax it is very much safe but keep in mind that using any other wax on top of a coating could impact the water-beading properties. Again, not necessarily harmful to the coating but something to be aware of.
How long this application will work?
As with anything longevity can vary quite a bit depending on a number of factors. That being said, on a well prepped and well maintained vehicle this can last 2 plus years.
Why is compounding and polishing needed if it's going to be removed with the prep stage?
They have to do with removing defects and creating the best clarity and gloss before applying the coating. Why put in all this time money and effort just to put a coating over a finish you are not happy with. You would simply be "sealing" in those defects as well as risking the coatings' effectiveness as it will bond better to a fully restored/prepped finish.

Yes, but the effects of the polish have already done their job. The Surface Prep would simply be removing any excess oils, etc. on the surface.

Just a preference. We have taken polls to see how people use wash mitts and there are many people on both sides of the argument. 😀
@@meguiars wow haha that does suprise me, would there be any difference when it comes to how much pressure your applying as when your hand is inside there is obviously just the one layer of cloth compared to holding the mit on the outside?
That would vary quite a bit depending on the person.
Hate that junk Meguiars random orbital !!!! Had 2 of those junk things, and each one died after about a year...Junk... Only Meguiars can afford to use them... I just use my Makita 9227C for Years, and never have an issue...
