I would like to suggest prayer. just talk to him, and tell him to help you, you want to know him. the word of God tells us to ask and we will receive, that if we seek we will find, that if we knock, the door will be opened to us. just ask and know he hears you and he is willing to draw close to you and grow your faith in him and he loves you and wants the best for you. Jeremiah 29 verse 11-13.

At that time I had a relationship with God, we would pray everyday for Guidance and support through this especially challenging time and after my surgery it only strengthened my relationship with him. The year following my transplant was just as challenging if not more, I was in and out of the hospital went through ATG therapy (1 step from chemo) 3 times each being Month long daily infusions, and ended up a Diabetic as a side-effect. It broke me, I thought how could a kind and gentle God do something like this too me, but the more I denied my relationship with God and my medical issues the more broken and bitter I became. When I finally decided this self sabotage is over it felt only natural to come back to the Lord, because that resentment I had was not towards God it was self pity and resentment towards my own actions and not allowing time to process through the trauma. This was hard but writing helps with the process

I went thru a similar experience with condemning God for my childhood, I used to not fear hell because it couldn't be much worse than my life has been. I came to the realization that God was always there with me, watching over me. I don't like small talk, I couldn't care less if you had a good or bad day, what your interests or hobbies are, but I do care about you. I care about what keeps you up at night, I care about the things holding you back, I care about you personally. Yes you reading this comment, I care about you and I love you more than myself. God protected me in low places so that I know how to look for and lift others out from those low places 🙏 God has been pushing me to become the savior I desperately prayed for as a child, but no gem is made without pressure. God does not half ass anything, you will suffer, but you will overcome. You've adapted to the boiling pot that melted your skin in the beginning, now you can reach directly into the fire to help others, because of the pain you've endured. God takes the bad and creates good, unfortunately he can't stop the bad from happening, because he can't interfere with free will w/o going against everything he's established. If God were to stop all bad things from happening, would he be a loving and merciful God? Or would he be a controlling and manipulative God. I went thru a similar experience with condemning God for my childhood, I used to not fear hell because it couldn't be much worse than my life has been.
I came to the realization that God was always there with me, watching over me.
I don't like small talk, I couldn't care less if you had a good or bad day, what your interests or hobbies are, but I do care about you.
I care about what keeps you up at night, I care about the things holding you back, I care about you personally.
