Hey, I want to use this speaker just as a bluetooth speaker... dont want to use it on wifi, is it possible ? For setting up the device the first time i can use wifi but not on daily baisis...
Yes it is possible if you set it up initially with Wifi but i would recommend you to just buy a bluetooth speaker and not a smart speaker.

Yes you can call anyone by using voice commands but i am not sure if you can receive calls on this device

Yes you can use it as a bluetooth speaker after pairing it to your phone and you won't need wifi after successfully paired. But i won't recommend it if you dont have a wifi connection. Opt for a non-smart speaker if you just want to use it as a bluetooth speaker.
Can i simply connect it with bluetooth with any phone.
Firstly, you have to set it up with your google account and then you can connect to bluetooth device.

Wifi network is a must to use this.. if you don’t have one then try to set it up using wifi hotspot from some phone that you have and then use it as a Bluetooth speaker

It needs wifi to setup. After that only, you can connect it with your laptop using bluetooth.

Yes you can by first using you mobile hotspot to add this to your google home and then pairing it to any device with bluetooth.. but initially it will require wifi to work

Once you pair it with your phone, you can use it via Bluetooth without even connecting to wifi.

If you don't have a wifi network at your home then i won't suggest you to buy this. Go for a normal bluetooth speaker.

I think it's a good speaker although I wish it could be a little sleak so It takes less space this shape might take a good space and can be uncomfortable for traveling trekking and stuff what is your say to that
Yes it is a bit large if you compare it with echo dot or google nest smart speakers but it provides a much louder and clearer sound with a rich bass in it. So the decision is upto you.

No one is clearing that , I need to use another mobile / wifi device for wifi , not the same mobile where the MI app is going to be operated
If you don't have a wifi at your home. I won't recommend you to buy this. If you still want to buy, you can only use it as a Bluetooth speaker and listen to music by connecting it to your phone over bluetooth.

Just remove it from your google home and click on forget wifi from it’s settings!
Volume - volume+ hold together for 15 secs it be reset after giving u a voice confirming note for resetting
My friend purchased a dindinmodern speaker that has lights and loud sound. It seems to be equally good.
This Mi speaker is average quality. Even Amazon echo dot has a better sound than this one.
