Greatest team in Auburn history!!! Emphasis on the word "team". Yeah 2010 had Cam and Nick fairly, yeah 13 had Nick Marshall and Tre Mason and Carl Lawson. But 2004 had the best position players Auburn has ever had hands down. RB, WR, TE, DE, LB, CB, and safety all locked down
I agree on JC. His touch on the ball is the only thing that kept him from being elite. '03 had the most NFL talent Auburn ever had. The offense was just too easy to figure out for USC.
@@chinfuzzchet3616 Facts. All Tuberville's fault because instead of hiring Al Borges or some competent OC in '03, we got that 8-5 $hit$h0w. Still irked to this day about what 2003 could have been with that wasted championship caliber talent because a head coach allowed his massive ego to get in the way.
83 team, 93 team and 04, best 3 teams in Auburn history ...04 team was robbed...after beating UGA badly the "voters" didn't move us over Oklahoma, ...USC slaughtered Oklahoma... Auburn would have won the Natty
We got so screwed that year cause Oklahoma was ranked no2 and USC was ranked no1 at beginning of season. The AP wouldn't jump Auburn over Oklahoma cause they went undefeated with a cake schedule. Everyone knew Auburn was far better than OU, and USC beat them like red headed stepchildren. Auburn would have destroyed USC. One of the many times Auburn was screwed out of a national championship. Nobody could stop them in 2004 and everyone knew it. The media has always hated Auburn, still do to this day.
Auburn should have been their Oklahoma wasn't any good.. I mean Auburn went undefeated with a hard schedule I mean what more do want from them.. Auburn beat a really good Tennessee team twice.. I think Auburn should be able to claim that national title Oklahoma is overrated like usual... And usc cheated the entire season that like a few of usc's wins we're vacated.. So Auburn should be able to claim that one..
Auburn is a weird team.. most of the time they aren't the greatest team but when Auburn is good its hard to stop them.. I always keep a watchfully eye on Auburn Incase there team comes out nowhere again.. Auburn is unpredictable and sometimes can be a very scary team..
@@davec1330 I'm pretty sure it was Jason's dad. He shows up in some other highlights when Jason makes a good play. That means he shows up a LOT. WAR EAGLE!
Auburn may have backed out Florida State in the 1990's but not Southern Cal, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Clemson, Kansas State, Washington State, West Virginia, South Florida in the 2000's
Ronnie Brown, Jason Campbell, and Cadillac Williams in the same backfield as well as the top defense in the land with the Thorpe Award winner Carlos Rodgers and left out???
Didn’t realize this game had a 2nd half. I was in college when it happened so I was in Rick James mode by halftime and didn’t require the watching of the 2nd half.
I am a bama fan and im not trying to hate guys but I just dont see them beating Usc that year if they would have made to the NC.. but this team was really really really good ill give yall that.
To everyone who thought Auburn deserved to go to the NC in 2004: there are a couple of reasons why they weren't selected. Firstly, in both 2002 and 2003 they lost to USC 24 - 17 (at USC) and 23 - 0 (at home) respectively so public opinion probably thought they weren't deserving at the time. Secondly, OU had been a national championship contender in 2003 vs. LSU so this combined with Auburn's short-comings against USC made people think OU would give USC a better game although that wasn't the case. Simply put, if Auburn could've at least split the series with USC they might've gotten the nod over OU.
Jaxk Pinegar as idiotic as that actually is, unfortunately you're right. It's why sportswriters have NO business being involved in the process. Heck, Alabama was hosed out of the 1966 MNC because of what was happening in Birmingham that year. As awful as that was, it had nothing to do with college football. And if you think that's hyperbole, I've heard many writers from that era basically admit that - and I'm an AU grad
Which is why college football is so messed up because its not about the product its about politics and off field not on field if u watched collge football this year auburn had one of the best football teams i have ever seen on both offense and defense and hell even special teams how we didnt get in thag championship game was absurd
Steele trains them not to look back at ball. You do and miss a tackle and you just gave up a touchdown. Thank god we got Steele for next 3 years and he deserves to be the highest paid D. coordinator in the ncaa, no doubt about it.
Looked in the mirror lately, auburn aint in good shape. But yall need to get good to make sure bama doesnt get to sec champ. Tn fan here but 2010 iron bowl was by far the wildest game ive seen in person. Needs to happen more often
You meant the Aromashodu catch falling out of bounds. In 2004, that was indeed a catch. Only one foot in bounds and touching the ground prior to dropping the ball was required. The surviving the ground rule was not yet in effect.
04 undefeated Auburn team was savage.

Jason Campbell wasn't half bad either he was def at his best his senior season
I agree

The 83 and 93 teams were really good as well.
Going to miss that voice of Rod's.
National Champions? DAMN RIGHT!
What a first half. Jason deserved this after all the drops2003 and the bad line 2002, great game.
I've never seen 110,000 people leave a stadium so quickly at halftime. It was nothing but Auburn folks in the 2nd half and it was fun!
raise your hand if you miss the 2004 team
✋
2023 and now these same players are coaching for Auburn and absolutely crushing it
Yes I do, War Eagle!!!
I still think that's the best team we've ever fielded at Auburn.
83 team, 93 team and 04, best 3 teams in Auburn history ...04 team was robbed...after beating UGA badly the "voters" didn't move us over Oklahoma, ...USC slaughtered Oklahoma... Auburn would have won the Natty
😢😢😢😢 I miss these guys so much
Courtney Taylor was a beast.
No doubt. If they needed a catch in the clutch they just threw it in his vicinity and he would find a way to catch it.
This is the game that broke Tennessee as a program.
War Eagle
If we weren’t screwed out of a chance to compete for a title, this team might be known as the greatest football team Auburn has ever produced.
Nah, they wasn't beating USC, they shut Auburn out the year before with basically the same teams
I miss these teams. Thanks for the cool videos. War Eagle!

Remember Auburn lost to USC two year in row in the previous years so voters probably remembered that..sadly. Best Auburn team since '83
Auburn should have been their Oklahoma wasn't any good.. I mean Auburn went undefeated with a hard schedule I mean what more do want from them.. Auburn beat a really good Tennessee team twice.. I saw Auburn beat Va. Tech. In the sugar bowl in January, to complete a perfect season. I can definitely feel for FSU this year!
I was there also, if Tubbs hadn't handcuffed Borges we would have run them out of the Superdome
Bruh Junior Rosegreen went off!
1983 should have been our second national championship team, and this one should have been our third. 2010 should have been our 4th instead of second.
Agreed! Auburn has been cheated over and over!
Also 1993 too and 1913 is an unclaimed ncaa recognized natty
damn i miss those tuberville days
The play calling and execution is unreal
This was a fun one. It was a beating for sure.
This was a straight up Rocky Top Beat Down
I've never heard this over the radio before, that was great. many thanks
Why can't Auburn Ever recruit receivers like they did in the early 2000s? Obamanudu, Aromashadu, Mix, and Taylor
We have. This years crop of freshmen receivers we brought in may be the best we have ever had.
Gus keeps moving them to corner
Have you been paying attention the last two years? Wr is one of the strongest positions on the team.
Bro here were are in 2024 and Freeze just recruited a monster WR class. Took us long enough, but we finally did it. Lol
Auburn is a weird team.. most of the time they aren't the greatest team but when Auburn is good its hard to stop them.. I always keep a watchfully eye on Auburn Incase there team comes out nowhere again.. Auburn is unpredictable and sometimes can be a very scary team..
Jason Campbell was serious
Yep. Gotta wonder what would have happened if he had gone somewhere besides the Redskins.
Wonder if the serious guy in the stands was his father?
@@davec1330 I'm pretty sure it was Jason's dad. He shows up in some other highlights when Jason makes a good play. That means he shows up a LOT. WAR EAGLE!
Yes it was

dang... making them punt with only 14 seconds off the clock... sigh. I miss these days at auburn so much
Ronnie Brown, Jason Campbell, and Cadillac Williams in the same backfield as well as the top defense in the land with the Thorpe Award winner Carlos Rodgers and left out???
Courtney Taylor, man he was fun to watch

They basically shut it down and cruised to not totally embarass The Vols. It could have easily gotten into the 50s.
🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Rick James mode🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jason Allen went to my old high school..He was a good kid. He just got ran over a lot in this game LOL!!
That was a ridiculous pass interference call!
I am a bama fan and im not trying to hate guys but I just dont see them beating Usc that year if they would have made to the NC.. but this team was really really really good ill give yall that.
No one wanted Auburn in 2004. Believe me Junior Rosegreen had every reciever shook coming across the middle. That team was unbelievable.
What is the deal with Ainge still in the game after completing more passes to Auburn than Tennessee?
This was the best game ever👍
That pass interference call was a joke
The 2002 Georgia team and the 2004 Auburn team were deserved to be national champions, they all ended up going to the Sugar Bowl instead.
Idk if 2002 Georgia would compete well with Miami or Ohio state
Uhhh georgia lost a game that year and 2 other teams went undefeated. They should try having more than one season with less than 2 losses in 40 years
We got robbed of being in the national championship that year
I miss Rod Bramblett man. AU has gone through a drought since he’s been gone. Hopefully fortune changes
We need tubbs to give more pregame speeches now that he’s living in Auburn again
Love these videos war eagle
Dude at 18:38 looks exactly like nick marshall??
He does look like Nick Marshall. Lol
1flynlow damn sho did...he was dark skin tho, Marshal was a light skin nigga
Do you think the 2004 team was better than the 2010 team?
Easily
Hey you wouldn’t happen to have the 2004 Auburn vs Louisiana Tech game by chance?
I should yes. Email me for more info: rscotta831wareagle@hotmail.com
Courtney Taylor was the fuckin man. Big body, strong wide out that doesn’t get the respect he deserved
I don’t know of a team that could beat this team right here, they were unstoppable, would have devistated Matt Leonard and Reggie
Leinart sorry autocorrect

+Chris Huey that team was head hunting for USC that year. Believe me it woulda been the game for the ages.
Which is why college football is so messed up because its not about the product its about politics and off field not on field if u watched collge football this year auburn had one of the best football teams i have ever seen on both offense and defense and hell even special teams how we didnt get in thag championship game was absurd
Incorrect, the single reason Auburn didn't play for the NC was preseason rankings. Rankings should not come out till at least 3-4th game.
BS interference call against Auburn at 16:52
my gosh I forget how bad the rape was this game
Hopefully the dbs at AU now will watch this and learn how to turn their heads.... wde

Jason Allen still has those cleat marks in his chest. LOL

One of two major truckings Allen had to endure!
04:18
12:23
MCNEIll AND Grubbs was as elite of a leftist as you will ever see on an O-line!

Auburn broke Tennessee in 2004 and they are still broken to this day lol

We got T totally fucked that year
10:52 so wasn’t a catch lol
It so was in 2004 * proverbial lol inserted *
Don't fret over it. It KINDA makes up a little for that obnoxious pass interference call. I hope that ref was demoted to calling bingo.
Oh yeah, definitely only number 3 🤦
Two horrible calls in this game.. The Obamanu catch was not a catch and that was not def PI on Rogers. Two amazingly crappy calls.
You meant the Aromashodu catch falling out of bounds. In 2004, that was indeed a catch. Only one foot in bounds and touching the ground prior to dropping the ball was required. The surviving the ground rule was not yet in effect.
The Greatest Team in the history of College Football to get robbed out of a National Title was the 2004 Auburn Tigers
WAR DAMN EAGLE
This team was too much fun to watch. I was at the LSU game that we won in the last minute. Hard Fighting Soldiers!!!!
Likewise was at that game
How dangerous CADDY and Ronnie was as a 1-2 punch
