I am a Christian sister and I love the content 🥰 I found this channel a while ago and I can't stop watching these videos. Super important topics and you all three seem so warm-hearted and beautiful people inside and outside. These videos has made me think a lot and I have already made important changes and decisions in my life. This beautiful community feels like a safe space for me too 🥰 Honestly, when I clicked to one of your videos by curiousity, was the best click in my whole UA-cam history 😊
Ana Adriana so glad your here with us, Welcome. Yes, they are beautiful soul sisters, MashAllah ! I can feel where your coming from, (as a previous Christian myself, now Muslim,) I too found such “ ideology/thinking” as this truly inspiring too.
Hi Ana, as you are a Christian, I wanted to ask you about your understanding of Jesus - do you believe Jesus is God or somebody sent by God (like a prophet)? We Muslims see him as a prophet sent by Almighty God, just like prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), rather seeing him as God himself. And we believe Almighty God is one, perfect and the only one to be worshipped. God cannot be a man because God is eternal, independent and has no needs. Would you agree?
Here are few points: 1. Communication is important but how you communicate is even more important. your tone, body language, facial expression, all convey meaning. 2. Listening is as part of communication as talking. So listen to understand and not react! Barak"Allahu feekum
"The more you're communicating with Allah, the better your communication with His creation" Ma sha Allah! That's my take-home quote. I totally agree with this statement. It works for me!!
I'm glad you brought that up LaYinka, TEXTING is not an effective way to communicate . It doesn't convey tone and can be easily misinterpreted by the reader.
I don’t know what I would do if you guys stop this series. So much needed to listen to Muslims discuss things like this. I don’t have a community of Muslims around me, so I look to you and Alhamdulillah for what do you do for us :)
Assalaamu ‘alaykum sister! I saw that Layinka started a program for sisters called Homecoming, maybe you can join that 😊. I am a member of the Mindful Hearts Academy where you can find a lot of support too inshaAllah if you want to take a look ♥️ May Allah guide you towards what is best and may you be surrounded by those Allah loves most ♥️
Healthy communication comes when we as a muslims our spiritual connection with Allah Azzawajjal is strong n i absolutely agree with sister aliya about our tongues gets automatically careful when we remember Allah Azzawajjal more..when we keep our tongue moist with the dhikr of Allah Azzawajjal....i personally expereinced this phase during my most beautiful n deepest n strongest imaan n ibadah days...i used to be very careful and used to think twice or thrice when talking to people...i was more cautious about my tone.... Spiritual distance from the creator can automatically make the tongue ignorant hence creating chaos in life whether its ours or others..... This dhikr point hit me sooo hard that i paused video and started writing in the comment box so that i dont miss any points i wanted to share
Regarding this issue of seeking clarification, sometimes when I feel offended by what someone said I would just be like “I feel insulted by your words” or I almost feel attacked and the person then usually quickly clarifies and then I completely move on. It really works for me.
Constant communication with Allah gives us this peace and calm that subsequently manifests in the way we communicate with His creation... The humility and decorum we use in communicating with Him becomes a part and parcel of our lives ❤️
i really liked this one . i really felt it in my heart when Aliyah said that we should do dhikr and remember Allah and that the tongue shall be careful and soft with how we talk to others when we do that . I like how Sumaiya added to that and said that it puts everything in context and reminds you that Allah is perfect and we're all flawed and that you're dealing with each other's hearts and we're all fragile and vulnerable . i love how she added about how we're curating each other's hearts and how we are protecting each other's hearts . truly if we keep this in mind in both our romantic and other relationships in our lives, it'll make a massive difference . 26:00
The word bismillah just instantly brought tears to my eyes and I don't know why???.... 🌙 🎇🌙There are some wounds in life that are way,way beyond the subliminal understanding of one's mind!!..
All of you have awesome, beautiful, smashing, impactful and feminine personalities. If musmlim men are intimidated by such educated, self aware and eloquent women, they are lagging far behind in their standards of self development, satisfaction, and their roles in the development of the upcoming generation.
I loved hearing the part on self parenting. Asking yourself 'what do I want' What do i need?' and then 'What do I want' What do I need' from the other person
Healthy communication is key to making relationships work effectively and efficiently. The best part is learn from your talk today is to communicate with Allah during such times, knowing that Allah is seeing and hearing everything you do. The fear in the creator will make people responsible and do things better
I would add to the slowing down & realizing who is talking part by advicing us all to realize when we have allowed our qareen to take over - once you are contious to the pattern you can put a stop to it. Always look within and seek refuge from Allah. From our own evil. Most ppl are oblivious to the enemy within. Don't ruin a relationship in moments of anger. Always calm down and approach things from a better place.
Alhamdulillah! Jazakullah khair for sharing so much food for thought and practical wisdom that we can implement to improve our relationship with ourselves, others and our Lord! ❤️
Always question your assumptions. Qur'an 49:12 & 13 talks about us avoiding assumptions, and our differences as male and females being a catalyst for curiosity that should lead to understanding. In essence ask as many questions in order to understand, not to react.
Very important as you said as a practical way to deal with bad communication is to see where the other person is coming from, and understand that maybe they aren’t at the best place themselves. That will help you to breathe and take it more easy perhaps inshallah. May Allah bless us all with Sabr and the most beautiful way of communication to others Amin.
I have a BSc and I am doing a masters in Comms but mehn😅 it’s still not the easiest thing for me to do. However, I am very self aware especially when it comes to communication, I think that’s a good start (if I can say so myself 😄)
Beautiful episode mashaAllah💕 Going back to what Aliyah said regarding the work on healing the unresolved mess, which makes a lot of sense to me, I would like an episode that focuses on the healing itself and how it is done!!
Thank you sisters for this i realy needed it .i always had problems when someone respond to me with high tone i feel hurt. Sometimes i chose to stay away from them
All Praise Is Due To Allah, All Three Of You Sisters, Is Special, Amazing And Is Royalty. I Ask Almighty Allah, To Continue To Bless And Protect You All and To Continue To Reward You All with Good Amin.
28:22 most important part imo. Absolutly everything comes back to your thoughts and to your selftalk: How you view yourself, the world and especially Allah swt. Sometimes I think that our thoughts and the self talk are the main reason/source why a Person becomes sucessful and therefore enters Jannah. If you really think about it, islam is about teaching us first how to THINK about EVERYTHING and than putting it in practise. By the way: does anybody know good books about kognitiv behaviour ( therapy) in combination with islam?
Excellent tips MashaAllah. I would also mention that healthy communication is a two-way street. An invaluable skill to cultivate is to learn how to discern between people you can work with and those that who cannot. I wasted years of my life trying to sincerely communicate with people that couldn't care less. No reasoning or explanations even regarding the rules ordained by Allah can be effectively communicate to someone who doesn't want to hear it. Some people can be a little too forgiving and understanding about others. It was well-known that Umar ibn Khattib knew which people could be reasoned with and which people needed to meet his stick.
ShukarAlhumdullilah, you sisters have really touched on important topics,May Allah always keep you"'ll true and real as you'll are, ameen!for me communication is a skill which alot of people don't have!so workshops, lectures and programmes like yours are really important
Just to add, listening is very, very important in communication. Listen carefully, patiently and openly to what the other person has to say, so that there is no misunderstanding, miscommunication or wrong assumptions. And seek forgiveness from them even if you don't think you said or did anything wrong. We can say things without realising that we're offending them and when it's not even our intention.
As much as i love watching these videos and learning and be aware, i also feel it would be respectful if the ladies allowed Sommayah to speak without being interrupted. All love here
I just love these ladies, jazakamullahu khyran kaseera for bringing your confident selves and your informed views to us women who were really tired of others defining femininity for us, although nothing wrong with that, but it just doesn't give the whole picture as men\and others usually talk about what they want to see in women and vice versa.
I think the key word is "customer service " everything you have described all falls under "customer service " . Empathy , understanding , emotional intelligence. Being calm and bringing the person on side rather than taking a stance of opposition . A good Moto is " winning the customer not the argument" defusing conflict and making them an ally or make yourself an ally to them . To tweak the mission statement so it's more relevant " winning the patient over and not the argument". Which goes back to a previous response of mine in another video . We are advised to be water when someone is fire . Totally customer service, which in my opinion is the most valuable life skill becuase no matter what you do in life there is always a gateway person to interact with . Edit : problem with Muslim youth today is they choose to belong and identify themselves part of a sub culture , a street culture . Way they dress , talk and act. The big issue this causes is alienation to the wider, broader society. This behaviour is not favoured in broader society , it's shunned to be honest. The slang and attitude alienates wider society which in turn feeds the narrative of "we don't fit in" . The huge problem is that our youth are alienating themselves to the "key holders" the key holders to doors of opportunity. Opportunities like jobs for example on the many fields. This is caused by lazy parenting and lack of knowledge tbh .
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله Very good topic indeed needed. Its really imp to listen specially when it comes to kids ,they need lending ears .
