India should invest on R&D. Look at Russian atom centre which looks like sci fi centre. Atom centre is where tzar bomba was designed, and nuclear research by Russian scientist did. If IITs focused on R&D since beginning today we could had state of the arts nuclear power plant. But no R&D only marks scoring in iit and getting jobs in software, banks, insurance
Our higher education is utter waste of time.
It is great to have Russian nuclear technology in India.
What about our Thorium based nuclear power plant?
With Thorium, I was under an impression that our dependence on other countries for producing nuclear energy is over.

India should move on with Russia on two fronts in power generation with nuclear fuel (1) Use of Thorium as nuclear fuel ( Russia can also benefit from same since India has huge reserves of Thorium) and (2) Floating nuclear power plant. These plants can be initially installed in Andaman and Nicobar islands.
We need thermonuclear weapons tech from Russia.

Without carrier these weapons are useless. We need nuclear reactor for submarines , engines tech for fighter planes
