I have always thought of Geometry as a very important prerequisite for Trigonometry.
It seems like a lot of people consider only Algebra to be a prerequisite for that course, but Trigonometry does deal a lot with triangles and parallelograms, and also circles to some extent (the unit circle), so it makes sense to finish Geometry before that course.

I remember not being good at math. In college I started at the lowest of low math class, which wasn't even college level. All together, I had 11 math classes. It was very hard, I did have to repeat a few, but looking back it was all worth it. I have a very good high paying job in engineering, with great benefits. I know this stuff is hard if you're currently taking it, but you will thank yourself later. You can do this. You are worth it.

I dropped out of calculus 3 times!! About 5 Years ago..since then, EVEN changed my major! Back then, just 5 years ago, UA-cam was not so popular yet..and much LESS VIDEOS like THIS were NONEXISTENT! DAMN!! WHY ME!!?? WHY!!??? This video FINALLY SHUN some light into derivatives! Maybe I will finish my current major and take calculus again some day.

I'm lucky, my community college professor explained this with amazing grace. But I owe so much thanks to Sal too (and Khan)! The fifteen years ago I passed was high school algebra 2, but dropped out of college and worked as a lineman for 15 years. But now I quit to go back to college (just before covid happened), started studying math 8hrs/day everyday, I was able to pass precalculus 1 & 2 (teacher knew my story and was stunned I passed lol) and am now in Calculus 1 well on my way to an electrical engineering degree. Thanks again Sal. Without you and Khan it would not have been possible.

Thanks for asking @@notz7737! I am at university now and doing great. I've made it through calc1, calc2, calc3, differential equations, and linear algebra (plus physics 1 & 2 and all the other hard undergrad weeder classes). Amazingly I am really good at math now. Tonight I'm brushing up on Laplace Transforms for a Signals & Systems midterm Thursday. Calc2 was my hardest math class, but to be honest, things I learned two years ago are still clicking into place here and there. One thing to keep in mind is that math is something you can visualize. Take functions in R^2 for example, you can see them plotted on the x-y plane, so where some might only see something like f(x)=x^2 as letters and numbers on a page, being the student that knows how that plots onto a real (or imaginary) plane is invaluable and only gets more and more useful as your math education progresses. My best advice would be to ALWAYS make a note sheet for every exam and keep them organized. You'll be using them all the way through college. Note sheets I made in precalc2 are still proving useful. Oh, and I have not opened a single math textbook, all my at home education is thanks to papa youtube.

This foundation of differential calculus is explained clearly by you. The graphs are the best way to understand these. I'm grateful to you and your team. Please keep up! Thanks
