The vulgar talk in Punjabi stage dramas is pretty old, when I watched the first Punjabi stage drama on VCR in 1994 I was astonished how vulgar they were from time to time. The only difference is that in 90s they used to have vulgar talk with sophisticated layers so it was not easy to decipher it for simpletons or straight away label it as vulgar talk. From 2000 on wards they just changed their mode from layered sophisticated vulgar talk to straight out cheap vulgar talk often with literal abuses which continues to this day but the foundation of vulgar talk in Punjabi stage dramas was already laid in early to mid 90s.

اس کے 90s کے سٹیج ڈرامے دیکھو تو پتا چلتا ہے کہ سٹیج پر گندی جگتوں کی آج جو بڑی عمارت نظر آرہی ہے اس کی بنیاد رکھنے والوں میں یہ بھی شامل ہے. جب بنیاد مضبوط ہوگئی تو یہ اس سے نکل کر پارسا بن گیا
