Remove all money from politics, end corporations being seen as political entities and impose strict term limits on judges. The only way to prep for nuclear fallout is to have a large bunker built into a mountain equipped with foot thick blast doors and stock it with provisions and seeds to grow a garden to provide you food for a few decades. You and your family have to stay in the bunker for at least 10 years.
YOu have food for emergency, even if there is no fallout. Like in a Hurricane, or a Pandemic. I ate my stored food for a month, and I still have left overs, while my sister was freaking out for toilet paper. These shelters are not just for Nuclear, but any disaster.

When I was in the military during the 1980s we didn't train for nuclear war. We trained for gas attacks. The basic idea was that unless you are in a bunker, you're dead.
Still the same when I got out of bootcamp in 2020. Reality is unless you're in a bunker you're done. But they did say if you didn't get to a safe place, do not look at the blast and it'll burn as hell, but keep going until you're "safe" and lay on the ground covering your head and eyes to the floor. And may God protect us and if we should go, make it fast.

I was playing golf in Hawaii when the nuclear Missile warning was texted to all our phones. She is 100% right, there was nowhere to go. We just looked at each other, shrugged our shoulders and played on.
I had woken up about an hour or two before getting the missile alert. I was at home with family. Didn’t panic, just looked at each other, and said if it’s really coming, then at least we’ll go together.
Unlike the US President, Putin cannot launch a nuclear attack on his own. He has access to the nuclear briefcase (Cheget) but only has authorization codes. The defense minister must also transmit his own set of codes. Then the final key is the Chief of General Staff who can launch the missiles once the codes are sent by the other two. It’s a three-tiered system to help prevent a coup or insurrection.

You know we used to have civil defense organizations/groups in the US. Their function was to provide these types of things. It went away in the 70s for some reason. When I was in the military during the 1980s we didn't train for nuclear war. We trained for gas attacks.

Unlike the US President, Putin cannot launch a nuclear attack on his own. He has access to the nuclear briefcase (Cheget) but only has authorization codes. The defense minister must also transmit his own set of codes. Then the final key is the Chief of General Staff who can launch the missiles once the codes are sent by the other two. It’s a three-tiered system to help prevent a coup or insurrection.

What Eisenhower actually warned against in January 1961 was the "Military, Industrial, Congressional Complex." The Congressional part was removed at the last moment for reasons I can only suspect were not to offend members of Congress.

Asking for sources isn't being lazy, the irony in that is that I'm instigating further research into the topic to begin with by requesting their source, and I'd like to see the particular source they have read, so that I can see if the claim and source has any validity that should be followed up and validated further by comparison with my own sources and the sources of others that are also intrigued.
That does not mean that I haven't looked myself already. It's just that so far, we have nothing but hearsay and no valid claims yet.
Good journalism, and scientific journals/papers request sources for this very purpose. It is foolish if you honestly believe someone requesting a source for a claim that is outside of regular conventions is just 'being lazy.'

Another historian Douglas Brinkley claims that it was actually "Military, Industrial, Scientific Complex" but much the same applies to his source. Overall its unlikely either of these are actually true.

An old, thin little book titled "War is a Racket" written by the most decorated General in US history is a great parallel read & supports a great deal of what is being discussed in this video - despite the book's age.
Great read would highly recommend to anyone. Written just before ww2 and sounds eerily similar to today
