fun fact about the dooley game: the korean devs were trying to release an american version, so they got a mixtape of popular music at the time and put in MIDI versions of Nirvana, Spin Doctors and other grunge bands into the game. it ended up not coming to the US but the songs remain

Note: a lot of these Sega Master System games on the PS1 compilation weren't bootlegs. But it was a mistake to play them on that platform, because the emulator they were bundled with was awful. I actually had that compilation and extracted all those ROMs to play with a proper emulator on my PC and they play well.

I think probably because the PS1 was made very... unorthodox.
The PSX was not built to emulate the Master System's sound card.
sonic the hedgehog for master system was not a bootleg also the emulator you use changes the sound and dosent make it sound like the original
