My big question that no one covers is regarding health insurance. If you are not receiving it from an employer and are not eligible for Medicare, how do you find affordable healthcare? Isn’t it just as much as a car payment? I’m really worried about that. Thanks 🙏🏽
O Bailon you would just invest the 6k you have and contribute the 4k later when you have it available or add what you can to your account per paycheck or monthly. Whatever works best. I have a Roth IRA through my employer but I went and opened an investment account with vanguard on the side and invested the 10k in ETF’s and stocks.

The "advantage" is the dividend not the stock appreciation as other stocks appreciate also or depreciate. Also, many experts say dividends are accounted for in the price of the stock so it will appreciate less than an identical stock without an dividend.

A lot of bigger companies (e.g. vanguard and fidelity) recommend a higher allocation to international stocks to reduce volatility. Are you concerned about your relative lack of international stocks compared to what they recommend (especially since you are no longer living in the USA)? I would love to hear your ideas.
After doing a lot of research, I decided to remove international stocks completely from my portfolio. Even some people like Warren Buffet don’t recommend international. International stocks are even more volatile than US stocks. And US economy has been stronger than any other country. Moreover, US currency is not the same as other countries. Also, blue chips or US companies In the s&p500, already have exposure overseas. Historically, international stocks have performed poorly. Don’t take my advice, do more research. I may be wrong and international stocks can outperform US stocks in the next 10 years.
TheBlackMage3 yes and no. I think and vanguard made a recommendation as did my fin advisor recommend allocating to international. I agree as well, 2040 on China, India and Latin America will be growing at a faster pace than the US. I do have some allocation with vtwax (50/50 US and international). My fin advisor did recommend vtiax and Vtsax over the vtwax. Have I allocated more to international? Not too much I’m still USA based for the most part, the last 20 years and I think the next 10 years USA will have a better return.
I can't speak for anyone else. I am younger and more risk tolerant, so I just analyzed how international etfs have fair'd in the last decade and....they have not done well (compared to the U.S. market). You always hear "keep a diversified portfolio with international exposure" but the international market as a whole has not been doing well, even before this crisis. Personally, instead of VXUS, I buy VEA and VWO and adjust accordingly to what exposure I want. In regards to volatility, would rather put that money towards various domestic bonds vs anything in the international market, but that's just me. Keep in mind, given my investment strategy, I am more focused on growth rather and that's what guides my decision making and why I don't load so much of portfolio on international offerings. Where people live does not always play that big of a role on what they invest in. For example, the U.S. holds more than 50% of the worlds market share, with Japan being a distant second. That just shows the popularity of the U.S. market regardless of where someone resides. I am trying to find the chart, but a few weeks ago there was a chart of the most popular stocks in Europe by country, and most of the #1s were American stocks. Yes....most of them were Tesla. A bit less than half had their own country's corp as their favorite stock, such as the Netherlands with Shell.
Yes and no. I really respect Ray Dalio but remember that he says only 15% of your portfolio should be international and by that specifically in Aian markets like Hong Kong. Also, what hits the US usually hits other countries like a domino effect. This could really hurt your potential. I recommend staying in the US market only or with 10% in Asian markets. When the time comes for China's currency to challenge the US dollar you will know to invest more abroad at that time.
Our Rich Journey yes indeed bc of your videos, a couple months back I ran across one of your videos, before the covid19 outbreak. For the past month and a half I’ve done research on investing, and if I hadn’t watched all your videos and done research, I would have just been putting money in my savings not realizing the potential of growth I could have in 30 years! Here’s to the future!
Just stumbled on this channel and omg, you both are so cute together and so well-spoken, what an intelligent move during the pandemic. Congrats on your retirement!
I’ve put my reading list aside to listen to ur videos. They’re so insightful and well researched. Can you guys make a video on how to read and understand all the abbreviations, etc on the stock market app
When markets drop, that is the BEST time to invest, particularly in the quality index funds and ETF. Thanks for going over your portfolio. 😊 I have been watching your channel for over a year and absolutely have learned from your videos and have taken action! (As Amon always points out its importance) . Thanks for all the wisdom you impart on others.
Always you have to hedge anything in your life and never take granted, only life insurance can do it with low cost and with saving plan and it will give you the saving with the protection you need. I never buy to sell, always I buy to create higher passive income, so in every pull back I'm buying. but never all at once. the mix with mutual/segregated fund and ETN/ETF/dividend stocks can make for us great job even timing and luck is the most important in life.... thanks a lot for sharing.
whoa. i had no idea what I was doing and bought $10k worth of mutual funds on March 23rd, which ended up being the lowest market day. My returns now in August are 71%, 65% and 59%. This shit is insane. Now I’m scrimping and saving every cent to invest more, but I have since learned index funds are the way to go for someone like me.
I have 14,000 shares of RA. It pays .199 per share monthly. I also have 10,000 shares of SPCE, on which I sold covered calls. That paid about 20,000 and expires in Oct.
Nice job. I am a big fan of Index funds. Both my wife and I are 100% in on Vanguard Index fund offered in our 403B. We both work for the same employer. Not interested in early retirement. I love what I am doing. My plan is to continue working for another 20 years, and maybe more. Still, I have to say, after 24plus years of investing in a 403B account I can say that the upside is awesome.
I’m not usually the emotional type but I just wanted to say I love you guys. I am so excited for the investment course. I’m definitely going to register!
Love this!!! I think one of the big concerns that my wife and I have when it comes to retiring early is the cost of health care. With all the uncertainty around health care costs in the future, how have you incorporated this into your FIRE "number"?
One the advantages I have for my healthcare cost is I am about to complete 20yrs a reservist. After 20yrs, I get access to Tricare and the VA to reduce my future healthcare. If one of you can spare the time to do some reserved duty check it.
The Vanguard funds you recommend only seem to be available to US citizens. For those of us who don’t live in the US - like yourselves now you are residents of Portugal, how do we do this type of investing? Are you paying tax in Portugal or the US or both? Love the channel and would love to join the journey but it only seems to be good for US citizens?
I simply wanted to say thank you for all of the work you both are doing, providing these videos for the global community. I grew up without much financial education, and the past 3-4 years I've been aggressively investing first in myself, reading and understanding financial principles and concepts. Found your page and have been absorbing all of the insight you've both been providing. The more reading and research done the more comfortable I have become with my own long term investments, Thank you again for all that you do!
Hey Guys, congrats. I've always been interested in investing and I've recently started with Robinhood this year. I've done my research and will stand by the decisions I made knowing nothing is certain, but I used the small winnings that I get from the lottery by investing 80% of my winnings.

Dividend Stocks + Covered Calls 🔥🔥🔥 Turning growth stocks into weekly paying stocks or turbocharge the yield for the ETFs/ individual stocks that you already own. Cool video!
I like the idea of never selling my shares & continue getting Cashflow from the dividends & covered calls. Not to mention the Dividend Growth that happens each year! 💪

Not really. Things are just fine here.
No chao in Democratic controlled cities and states.
Great video, common sense solutions to a chaotic world. Spread the word and help free the people.
Thank you!❤️
Just stumbled on this channel and omg, you both are so cute together and so well-spoken, what an intelligent move during the pandemic. Congrats on your retirement!
Emphasize sticking with the plan!!! I had my doubts but let my auto withdraw do its thing. Growth over Time wins out as it pays out.
I love the fact this series continues to give updates. Not only do we get to learn but can also see the real advice in action!
I'm a new subscriber, and I'm just now starting my journey. Thank you for all of this information. I will be following for tips from now on
Welcome aboard Romeo! Thanks for subscribing!
Hey guys! Great video as always! Stay safe! .....and yep when the market went down, like you all I went running in with afterburners on!
Good stuff!
For real that s&p500 went from minimum 10K to 3K giving game opportunity to gain that admiral shares and a few ETFs buy and hold
What quality index funds and ETFs do you guys recommend investing now for long term ? I am a self employee so I need to get This going for 20 yrs.
Love the Series!!! Keep up the great work you are doing. You guys are educating us!!!!
Peace!
Thank you so much :-)

You're welcome and I shall purchase your course very soon .... it's too affordable not to!
Thank You!
You guys are the best been watching for a while and have learned so much and doing great myself so thank you so much for all your information
Between when you left your jobs and when you moved to Portugal, what did you get for health insurance? Which specific plan and what was the premium?
Great results so far on those stocks that were ‘on sale’. I look forward to your Sunday updates thank you.
Thank you! We love sharing :-)
@@OurRichJourney do you have investments in Treasury bonds through Fidelity? Just curious
Always you have to hedge anything in your life and never take granted, only life insurance can do it with low cost and with saving plan and it will give you the saving with the protection you need. I never buy to sell, always I buy to create higher passive income, so in every pull back I'm buying. but never all at once. the mix with mutual/segregated fund and ETN/ETF/dividend stocks can make for us great job even timing and luck is the most important in life.... thanks a lot for sharing.
love how simple you make everything sound when you're going over finance topics!
Me and my wife just purchased your program super excited to start learning.
Very cool! Excited to hear you're getting started!!!
whoa. i had no idea what I was doing and bought $10k worth of mutual funds on March 23rd, which ended up being the lowest market day. My returns now in August are 71%, 65% and 59%.
This shit is insane. Now I’m scrimping and saving every cent to invest more, but I have since learned index funds are the way to go for someone like me.
Would you mind sharing which mutual funds you invested in? I'm new to all of this as well.
@@TripleBlsdNHlyFvrd look into sphd monthly paying dividend low price like 30 a share
You guys look more like business partners to me than a couple cos of how much you understand what you are doing😁😊. Thanks so much for the knowledge.
Would be great if you can do an updated video on mutual funds in light of the feds possibly reducing interest rates to or below 0. Thanks.
Great suggestion for a video :-)
I have 14,000 shares of RA. It pays .199 per share monthly. I also have 10,000 shares of SPCE, on which I sold covered calls. That paid about 20,000 and expires in Oct.
Congratulations from Brazil. I've discovered your channel a few weeks. Soon you will be speaking portuguese. 😀
I'm so glad I found you guy's channel! My husband and I invest but this! I want to start diversifying!!!
I just bought my first little bit of dividend yielding ETFs - thank you for this video! Really helped me a lot 💛
Great to hear! Thanks Lucy!
Good morning! Hope everyone is safe and healthy.
Nice. You two are an inspiration.👍🏾
Thanks so much
I learn so much watching your videos. This is definitely going to be a part of my building wealth strategy.
How do you address health care? You move to an industrialized country
Invest in a HSA, if you havent already
Just discovered this channel. Excellent! Do you reinvest your dividends? How do you withdraw the dividends for your living expenses?
Clear and useful explanations. Thank you!
Hey Guys, congrats. I've always been interested in investing and I've recently started with Robinhood this year. I've done my research and will stand by the decisions I made knowing nothing is certain, but I used the small winnings that I get from the lottery by investing 80% of my winnings.
I love you guys sooo much you don’t even know❤️❤️🥺
You are too sweet! Thank you Litzy!
You guys rock I just added another entry to my to do list to explore how much of my budget i will now dedicate to investing in stokes that pay dividends
A fantastic video as always, full of so much information. Thank you!
Thank you so much!!!
Thank you for the clear explanation of your investments!
Glad it was helpful!
This is such a beautiful marriage
Aww....thank you so much :-)
I agree
It really is. I like that these guys work together for the betterment of everyone in the family
Relationship Goals! Love the partnership and that you both on the same page and work together to meet your goals!
On video it is lol.
I enjoyed your videos and they are useful and educational. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I love the breakdown of growth vs. dividend investing! I do both as well.
Dividend Stocks + Covered Calls 🔥🔥🔥
Turning growth stocks into weekly paying stocks or turbocharge the yield for the ETFs/ individual stocks that you already own. Cool video!
I like the idea of never selling my shares & continue getting Cashflow from the dividends & covered calls. Not to mention the Dividend Growth that happens each year! 💪
smashing like button for you guys always.. great video!
I mean u need huge shares to even get a significant dividend worth anything. But if u can park 50k or more in then u cool. Better return than the bank. Love what u two are teaching!
Where do you start with a $1000? Any advice plz.
Check out out investing playlist! :)
I invested in index funds and ETF's on the 14th of May. Ive made $1020!!!
You may have answered this. However, what is the best way to stay up on whether or not a company has ended dividend pay? How do you manage that?
Always great watching your videos! Thank you!
The rich stay rich by spending less with more of investment, while the poor stay poor by living with high expenses and little or no investment.
Wawwww 😍 😍😍😍
GREAT WORDS💯💯
Really Really 🙄🙄
What about the poor who have interest in some investment but no capital?
Unlike the stock market and financial market, Forex has no centralized location, since it operates 24hrs everyday in different parts of the world.
That's a bunch of bs the rich stay rich by rigging the system like buying politicians and government to make laws in their favor.
Thanks to you guys. I'm keen on learning new invest!ng path even with as low as 10% consistent return I'm good
Glad I found this at age 5 , hopefully I'll be rich soon
LMMFAO
Thats how each family need to act thats crazy
Good for you hope alot of family will do the same
