a movie similar to this what i think is worse is a movie called "hate crime" but be warned the antagonists are nro nazis. it was a very hard movie to watch i ended up turning it off. the funny games is very very similar to it but much much worse. and it is also a depiction of reality movie.
Hello Zeark please do a essay on the French horror, Martyrs, which I personally think is one of the greatest horror movie of all time. I would love to know your thoughts on it❤❤
Possum was so deeply unsettling. It was creepy and depressing, and the end gives the viewer very little relief. It's brilliant, but I could never watch it again.
I loved how Michael Haneke, the writer and director of this movie basically toyed with everyone's emotions from the characters down to the audience. It's sickening and disturbing, I remember watching this for the first time, never reading any summary or synopsis, going in completely blind. That remote scene completely caught me off guard I just thought it was a typical home invasion revenge movie, boooy was I wrong. I can say this is one of my fav disturbing movie of all time.
Saw this movie on Netflix like 12 years ago and it stuck with me ever since, I also watched the American remake and it holds up just as well. They used to have such a good collection of foreign horror movies I can’t believe how much the service has fallen off.
Watch more from Haneke if you haven’t, he’s the greatest ever. This is probably his most disturbing film but all of his stuff will crawl deep under your skin. The Piano Teacher, Cache, Amour, Seventh Continent, White Ribbon. They are all incredibly deep and complex as well.
Michael Haneke has the most, and I don't mean this lightly, uncomfortable filmography I've probably ever seen. If you like the kind of filmmaking that purposefully puts you in this disturbingly intimate place alongside the characters than I'd definitely keep going down his line of work. Then again, if you value sleep and your sanity than maybe not lol. But yeah, Cache, Code Unknown, Amour (which for sure deserved the Oscar that year but whatever) are some of my favorites.
Bro…. PLEASE watch Midsommar if you haven’t. That movie genuinely left me so disturbed that at one point I started laughing hysterically out of confusion lol I’ve never felt like that before. It’s from the same director who made Hereditary btw
@@charlesoakland7599 the scene where the old people kill themselves and the scene at the end with the r@p3 and what follows are absolutely disturbing, if that doesn’t bother you you have no soul
PLEASE KEEP MAKING THESE TYPE OF VIDEOS BRO, iam a horror fan, or anything scary and unsettling, my most recommended movie is midsommer or whatever, and I saw it on meat canons vids(I think that's the name) truly a good and creepy ASF movie, also keep it up :D
i absolutely love how the family receives every chance to escape but have the worst luck. it is well put together dismemberment. parts of the film, like set up events arent used to play out in a conventional way with a climactical end, but are instead used as and shown to be one part of reality, the extent to which will is completely confused, doesnt know how to fulfil itself and is governed not by distanced thought out choice but momentary perception of the environment, not nature of the situation which fully captures and encapsulates that anticlimactic of horror with regret, fear and emptiness what one would likely recieve in this situation. to be honest i couldn't finish watching it because it was so thoroughly unpleasant, like a situation you would want to be out of in the place of the characters. it does things with such intelligent conviction even with the knowledge of how unenjoyable it would be to watch that i really revere it for.
Literally screamed out loud when you said the title because I buried this movie (2007 remake) so deep in my mind…traumatizing doesn’t even describe it.
The most disturbing movie I ever watched was Mysterious Skin. I was so upset for weeks and even now, it's been almost a year since I saw it but if I think about it I get really upset again.
It’s such an intriguing movie. Especially with how it uses metafiction and pretty much addresses it’s own audience. It’s like a movie about movies in a way.
Another really good disturbing film is the french film “Martyrs!” one of the few horror movies that left me completely empty afterwards. Also one of my favorites :D
I remember watching this movie when I was in high school and i had nightmares about it for days. I don’t think I can bring myself to watch it again because it did make me feel very anxious and unsettled the entire time. Nonetheless, i don’t think I’ve ever seen another scary movie that has made me feel that way.
Watch "The piano teacher " if you liked this movie. For me is just as disturbing or even more, but a masterpiece like Funny Games. It's from the same director Michael Haneke.
Loved this video and your video on genuinely terrifying horror movies. I have a challenge for you. If you watch and review this Assamese movie called “Aamis” or “The Ravening”. Go into the movie blindly knowing that it’s a “romantic film”. I’ll share your channel to my other friends. I’m subscribing now cause I love your vids. Keep it up!
"Funny Games" is def the most annoying movie in cinema history. Haven't watched the original, but the 2017 version, but holy shit was it uncomfortable to watch.
I only ever saw the original and have no interest in watching it for a second time, so I'll stay away from the remake. Which I heard is basically exactly the same.
I think the most disturbing movie to me, personally that I have seen was called “I Care, A Lot” and it was about this woman that would gain legal guardianship of elderly people as their caretaker and just… take everything from them. Rather than portraying her as the monster she is, she’s portrayed as this girlboss entrepreneur. As someone with both physical and mental disabilities, it was especially unnerving to me.
Well done. I found ‘Funny Games’ to be simply another slice of polished nihilism. For many decades, filmmakers have been trying to convince us that pain is pleasure and pleasure is pain. It's getting a little tiresome now, as a genius would make G rated movies that would inspire and enlighten their audience, without debauching their imaginations. We instinctively know that we ought not to take pleasure in gratuitous violence - we are naturally ashamed of being voyeurs. Filmmakers who pour fuel on the fire, under some weak pretext of 'protest' are playing 'funny games' with their gullible audience. Down with Mr. Haneke and his pretentious peers!
Omg Bro i know the Simpsons Animation where they get killed and i know exactly what feeling you meant. It felt so real i Dont know why. Midsommar definitely one of the most disturbing movies out there
It’s got the same director of hereditary
I mean, if you haven't seen many films then maybe
It’s disturbing but not that bad in comparison to this and other more obscure movies
I thought it was a good movie but when they rewound the movie it immediately killed it for me
Irreversible is the hardest to watch movie ever. You can not convince me otherwise.

Incendies by Villeneuve is underrated. Should enther these disturbing movies conversation.

I heard the director made this movie to personally upset people with the ending
Zeark have you seen the 2013 evil dead remake? It’s really scary
Have you seen the unrated version? It’s even better!
I just said in my head I wanted more videos like this , funny and js perfect movie explanation love the content bro🙏
Ty so much
So would it be a bad idea to watch this
Austrian not Australian.
I watched the original and the remake. Both of them were boring. They were not disturbing. I would call Eden Lake way more disturbing.
To me they were amazing. Eden Lake is disturbing.
Check other Hanekes work, many of his films are extremely disturbing like bennys video and la pianiste!

Must say... one of my favorites but disagree with which was better. Michael Pitt was far more terrifying

I highly doubt this is more disturbing than A Serbian Movie.
