    being a Banarasiya, I was brought up with the sense of harmony and seeing Shiv as a friend not a deity. But as I moved in Metropolitan's I could easily see communalism and tangled view of Hinduism as I knew.
    Simply not hindu of Banaras but children's of Banaras are different. har har mahadev

      Read how cow can be the permanent and easiest solutions for farmers problems
      👇👇👇
      Science behind the Sacred Cow of Hindu Civilization
      To understand that first we need to get back to the importance of cow in ancient civilization of India.
      One of the most important reasons is that cows have been the backbones of Indian families and the Indian agricultural system ever since the dawn of this ancient Hindu civilization. Apart from the extensively used Cow’s milk which the ancient Indians used to collect only after the calf has had its share, the most important use of Cows was in Agriculture. Without Cow the Indian agriculture in those days was as good as gone, and this was one of the prime reasons why Hindus being nature worshipers also worshiped Cow. Cow’s urine was a natural pesticide, cow manure was a natural fertilizer. Cattle in ancient India had ensured that Indian civilization did not need any artificial pesticides or artificial fertilizers, both of which are extremely harmful for the farm soil and degrade soil quality over time.
      Cows had their own shelters called Gaushalas (large places where the cows lived) which were many a times larger than the homes where people lived. There used to be people exclusively to look after the well being of the cows here and many a times they used to be the cow owners themselves who used to clean the Gaushalas everyday, feed the cows, take care of their health and so on . Every single festival of harvest had cow worship, house warming ceremonies had the ritual of taking the cow inside the house first and then pray to it to make the house prosper and flood with food grains, milk and butter.
      Cows being fed at a Gaushala
      Note that those were the days when food was grown in a healthy natural process. There was no industrial revolution, no artificial fertilizers, no chemical pesticides and insecticides. The entire Indian agriculture was based on the nature’s best fertilizer - Cow dung, and one of the nature’s best pesticide - Cow’s urine (along with the neem based solutions) were used extensively in the agriculture. Buttermilk again which is a derivative of Cow’s milk was used as an effective fungicide and weedicide.
      And not without any reason, the Indian agriculture in those days was extremely productive thanks to the cow products. Farmers were happy, crops came on time, yield was high, prices were low for food crops, kingdoms even used to export their agricultural output, granaries were always filled, milk was abundantly available and so were its derivatives like Butter, Ghee etc which formed an important part of the Indian diet. Every religious institution, big farms, farmers, diary owners all had thousands of cows - the cows which had made the Indian economy rich and healthy.
      Even today in African deserts were growing food is difficult and whatever grows must give a rich yield for people to have adequate food, fermented cow’s urine is used as a natural pesticide. Compare this with farmers today who spend thousands and thousands of rupees on artificial fertilizers and chemical pesticides, which not only make the food unhealthy, but also make the soil unproductive over time.

    And the worst thing that ever happened to Kashi was the destruction of Kashi Vishwanath by Aurangzeb which resulted in shifting of the temple and the destruction of the original linga.
    This is the reason Aurangzeb, is hated so much. The original linga of Kashi Vishwanath is said to be consecrated by lord Shiva himself.

    • @siddhantmisra5664
      @siddhantmisra5664 8 років тому +1

      maybe sometimes don't believe in everything. man created god. hence man created the temple.

      +Siddhant Misra I agree with you. Infact the legend goes that Shiva always walked in Banares like a normal human being. He and Parvati were also once shunted out of Banares once by the king Devodasa because he grew so popular that the king felt no one needed him.
      the destruction of the Vishwanath cannot be undone because it was an intricate design, I wrote this because people who love Aurangzeb should realize that he destroyed something which cannot be rebuilt. Not only did the demolish it he rebuilt one Mosque just to mock the people.

    • @siddhantmisra5664

    Finally, someone understood and depicted Benaras in a very unbiased manner. I came Benaras as a student and when I left Benares after 5 years I was a Benarasi. This is the beauty of Benaras. It's been two years, since I have left Kashi, but I always feel my soul is still there, may be at the ghats, or the paan shop or in the mystic lanes of Kashi. Har Har Mahadev.

      the curriculum shouldn't include religious teachings. let people explore them on their own. if it's in the curriculum, then they'll just see it as a burden and will move further away from it. also, people from other religions might feel left out and what about atheists who are not interested in religions?

    • @jainutkarsh94
      @jainutkarsh94 2 роки тому

      @@kushal4956 Right..then good luck to them exploring the religious teachings on their own, which are unfortunately in indigenous languages that are considered beneath those of the colonisers'. Other religions should also be discussed, whether they be other nature worshipping religions, or dangerous ideas like the sickness that is the idea of prophethood from the two biggest middle eastern desert cults. Atheists may not be interested in religions, but are you seriously suggesting we should listen to school-goes on what aspects of history or culture they ought to be compulsorily learning?

      +Enrique Iglesias You should ask those questions to those who allowed it to b razed in the first place. Extremism of any kind after centuries for that action, will hurt the future of generations to come. And remember, if God (anyones for that matter) could come down & speak to you, he would hv told you to b a human first & a follower after. So please stop this excuse & dont insult my God for the insanity of few. Coz my God is not so meek, that only a simple brick structure or absence of it, will prove his existence. Cheers!

    Yeah, I am from Banaras, this video is awesome.
    Now, Banaras looks beautiful in photographs and videos.
    If you go there you will found all these things mentioned in the video but apart from that you will also get jam-packed streets, high traffics, littering almost everywhere auto makeup by dust, no traffic rules, potholes almost every 100 meter, undergoing construction works from a long time, sewer overflow makes it more beautiful :(
    Banaras was much better 10 years ago than today.
