Even in cali i dont know any place i can get a variety of full melt hash unless i make it myself. Looking at all the other amateur products in the dispensary makes me 😢.

I was taught how to make piatella from one of the Spaniards. He then told me that it was meant for spliffs and not dabbing, which is why you don't see videos of people taking dabs of it since it's inception.
I love this. I made cold cure water hash 12 years ago! It was as illegal AF when I did it. But we did. It was gooey, not sandy, 20 micron trichromes ONLY. I wish I gave a fuck when it became a legal thing here in oregon. But my thought is everyone should be able to grown and trade weed like zuccinni. Old growth hippie.....ce la vie...

The gatekeeping keeps the competition pointed in a bullshit direction. People care more about branding spending 10k on booths to show dick all. To me this isn't just a cannabis thing but a business thing overall because content ABOUT what you do seems to pay more that actually being good at it. From coffee and beer to furniture making and beekeeping, there's Marketers that go buy the honest piece of gear everyone else wants and goes grifting. When a portion of the industry is focused that way, this competitive growth we want doesn't happen.
It's not about making better rosin, hash or flower but making better videos, copy and streamlining processes for entertainment value and attention because the brands want that. It's a giant game of don't ask don't tell and the consumer ends up with BOOF. What a product is for is irrelevant. All you need to know is that it's for sale.

Roger, I'm a member at Uncles. Do you think the color of the piatella shows how well it would work in a puffco? Lighter colors being better than darker colors.
I usually love what I hear but I disagree with so much of what you say here. Piatella hit before 22. And water hash has always been a small circle. And it’s not always the same stuff winning, look at different states/refions, different stuff wining and lots of innovation. Even in Rosin, which shouldn’t be a dirty word, it’s approachable solventless.
Blows my mind how these guys had a product and didn’t even know what it was didn’t know who made it who grew processed yet they’re pass it from hand to hand trying to identify if it’s water hash or not like I would assume judges know what they’re doing or have a trustful source instead questioning something they have never made or seen. There’s so many more talented people off camera lol from experience to knowledge because of continuous hands on work

I had some FL Sunburn Piatella ...I wasn't that impressed by it while dabbing ...now when I put it in a blunt with some flower..... 🤯 ...I got high asf off a blunt. You know how long it's been sense I've gotten high from anything flower based omfg bro all the distillate, rosin, resin , water hash, etc...I've put it all in a blunt with flower and was just a waste but something about it omfg

I just want to clarify that I don't mean this is a negative energy but, at 1:24 you say that piatella is his product name and compared it to being called a peak. i feel 100% this isn't true, it was branded and pushed as SOMETHING NEW even with the piatella name going back to how it's made and meaning pressed flat. so using that same example, he didn't go out and say hey i have a new Eletric vaporizer called the peak. he said Hey check out this new thing and sold it like you would a 3d chamber. this is still an e-rig BUT it has something special and that's why its not a ceramic coil is a 3d chamber. it was 100% marketed advertised and sold as being SOMETHING NEW and the best hash when like you said it is just a 6 star long cold cured hash. the only thing separating that being the vacuum seal which then brings back the original point of it isn't a product name cavi cone is a product (awful) but still product name. piatella is an extraction method and finished product, NOW we can treat it like wine sure and say well it wasn't created by the Og extractor in the Og location so it's not piatella but again then it turns back into its not a brand it's an extraction method. much love
