I will always be sad that I missed out on this one. I was playing War Thunder during this event, but I was so new that I didn't really understand events very well, and ignored it as a result. Wish I had thought about it more.
I played as well, but wasn't too good at ground nor had a developed lineup for any of my nation but the Italians and I wasn't fighting teams of Jumbos and P-47s every match for it
I would like to see the T29-E3 the one with the 2 range finder ears on the side of the turret since the T34 was the last variant of the the series, so it would make sense to be added, despite having the premium T29-E1/2
@@DubiousFIN kinda, but no that's a mash up of all the variants in one vehicle, meaning the different traits that the vehicles have, are not present it like a car. Lets say you have a BMW M3 1986 but someone else has a BMW M3 2018 same ideology but a different classes
Another fundamental flaw in how Gaijin implements vehicles. For most American tanks, fighting other tanks was a secondary function. Primary role was always infantry support. So even the 75s didn’t need extreme penetration because they were mostly going to be destroying obstacles, barricades and soldiers. Same thing with aircraft. Gaijin introduces something like the A4 or Harrier as if they were fighters. They’re not. They’re both dedicated ground attack aircraft that had defensive air to air capabilities that allowed them to punch way above their weight. But neither was ever deliberately assigned a fighter mission.
Yeah, don't listen to Tankenstein when it comes to the T30. The fact that he loaded nothing but APHE this play through proves that he knows nothing. The T30 has one of the most potent HE shells in the game. More than capable of killing that Jagdtiger if he had that shell loaded. But yeah, Tankenstein is full of shit this time around.
I don't know why all the American tanks rank 2-5 have such bad pen especially compared to similar vehicles at other nations. Like the 90mm on the Pershing is only slightly better than the 76. It was made to blow through the panther upper plate but it doesn't
It got re-released over operation winter in the ice chest. Many discontinueds have been recently, make sure to keep an eye on ones you wish you had during those. I got this for $85 on Christmas Day because on the marketplace. Almost 2 week after the event ended and it was already back to $140.
I've got this, made it in the event. It was powerful until they made the volumetric shells - it could blow away anything with HE iirc. Now it often explodes breaking only some sticking out elements.... Also I got my free Abrams playing this thing :P
The T30 was the first event tank I grinded for, thinking to myself, since the T34 has such a devastating solid AP shot and the T29 has very good penetration, I expected the T30 to have a mix of both; at least a much more powerful solid AP shell like the T34. Oh boy, was I disappointed by it.

Even if it was a second event vehicle, it would still be dope to have it, if nothing more than to have a second chance to get it but with an improvement to the reload.
I have a question for anyone who can answer! I have purchased two upgrade packages that both include higher tear tanks! I can find no way to use these tanks and packages without purchasing or winning all of the models listed above these tanks. I spent literally $50.00 on both of these upgrade packages, and wanted to see if I am doing something wrong before deleting this expensive garbage that keeps trying to get into my wallet. Any help would be appreciated.
Two upgrade packages? Like the packs that come with 1000-2000 GE, 7-14 days premium and the vehicle? They should be in your premium section and you can add them to your line up for 10,000 SL. You sound new though so don’t go straight to top tier cos you’ll just get slapped about.

All of the options for that are weak as hell tanks that are useless. I believe I ready that I must research the tanks before my tank purchased as part of a tank before my higher level tank unlocks! I remmber haveing a 45kg weight limit in pads when i was 9 Me and 3 other kids used to do the no food diet 2 days before the game to make weigh in Edit it was closer to 50kg my conversations were off
i only use HE for this tank no needed for other shells Edit: the HE shell got buffed so no it even more fun to use them you should do a reviset to this one.
Lol the lab is 3 ro 100mm aphe ac has 2.6kg of filler and still somehow pens 55mm with 370mps. volumetric has a lot of effect but yeah these are sad. The he has as much as a sap he or aphe has but doesn’t actually penetrate with its kinetic energy. I think that big fast he should have pen like they gave to incindiary rounds. And yeah I think every smoke has 50g filler regardless of size or faction. Just another broken part of balance

The HE on the T-30 is insane, it has the firepower of the artillery guns at the same br, with heavy Tonk armor

Hello, I used a KV2 to shot an 152mm HE shell at a t34, and an optics ate my shell like nothing happened.
Was that what volumetric does?
