I was going to buy a new printer. I thought it was broken beyond repair. I spent 3 hours to print 12 pages a few weeks ago. I googled today and found your video. I turned the rubber on the roller and cleaned it. Works as good as new. Thank You so much.
Thank you so much. It worked. I was afraid to turn it by hand. I did, cleaned with alcohol solution and BANG! Before I could only print ONE PAGE at a time! Its not the cost of the printer, its the cost of the toner!!! Mine is an HP 1215. I have only gone through about 3 cartridges in 10 years! APPRECIATED!
Bravo! Unable to get the roller out so I just cleaned it with rubbing alcohol on a rag and now the printer works. Now going back into use q-tips and a toothbrush.
You are MAGNIFICENT!!! I followed your instructions and am simply amazed!! The paper went through perfectly!!! We bought this used printer for our business from someone who gave up on it 5 years ago because the paper kept getting jammed! You are a genius! Thank you! Now, we just need to figure out how to stop the red lines across the paper. 😊
Thank you, this fixed my problem. The only step I did differently was to flip the band inside out instead of rotating the band. The opposite side looked new and had a nice tackiness to it. Works perfectly.
I wish I had seen your video before buying a replacement kit! Replacement kit from Amazon did not fix the problem but moving the rubber around did! Thanks so much!
Thank you very much for the excellent idea of rotating the unused inner side of the pick-up roller rupper to the pick-up area. It worked very well on my HP CM 2320nf MFP as well. Seems to be the very same pick-up roller. Simple solution for a high tech piece of equipment. Very great contribution to the global community, keep up the good & creative work! Michael from Germany
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. It fixed my CP2025 jam issue. I have not seen anyone re-using the inner side of the band. Everyone replaced the roller ... you are very creative!!! Thank you again.
Awesome! Thanks a lot for the video. My printer was getting paper jam if I print more than one page. I cleaned using the same steps, the only difference was my rubber strip was half smooth and half rough so I had to reinstall twice to get the correct orientation and it started working fine
Thank you so much. The printer has been sitting for almost a year because I couldn't figure out the issue. Was about to give up and throw it in the dumpster and buy a new laser printer. You just saved me hundreds of dollars.
Wow cant wait to try this tomorrow. I just bought this printer used yesterday and it says jan tray 2, after every printed page but its not jammed it just pulls the next sheet about 1" i need to try this tomerow hopefully it fixes the issue!
@@BilalKhalid I think so I did a small job of 6 pages and didn't see it. I started getting a new error after every 2nd page it would go to "cleaning" initialize and misprint I had to keep clicking ok for next page. Saw a settings change for that and haven't tried yet. But roller trick seemed to work. Thank you
I used to wash picker roller tires (On many different brands/models of printers) in soapy water, and then rinse well and dry well, and then reassemble. Washing it would clean the paper dust and glazed surface of the rubber off enough to make the rubber grip the paper better.
How much force you need to use to get this thing off? I've bend the clips like for 1 cm from both sides and trying to get the thing out but it does not move at all.
Right?! I noticed I have two yellow spacers things attached to the wall, while he just has one on the right hand side.. but I was searching the comments for other people with are stuck..on getting the roller off.
Update: I DID IT! I GOT THE ROLLER OFF! I used a pair of scissors for LEVERAGING! A tip of the scissor on each white clip - put tenson on the scissors - and pop! I got the roller out easily!
Sadly "Press [OK] to rotate" doesn't work for me. No effect whatsoever - no lights flashing, no angry printer noises, and when I press [OK] the second time (after the first time that _should_ have rotated the roller but didn't) then I'm taken up one level in the menu (to where it says "Setup Menu / 2ndary Service")
You are a star ! Thank you so much for this video worked a treat on my printer

Red line across the paper due to poor magenta toner, replace the toner nd the issue will resolve
Thanks!!! had paper jams after fixing stuck solenoid problem and this took care of it!

Good idea

Un super grand merci pour ce tuto !
Toujours le bienvenu
Omg thank you for this video 🎉 you made my work printer function again ❤
Glad I could help!
Reversing the roller strap is so smart rather than replacing it. Thank you!
Printer is printing pages jammed as well as black , what would be the solution?

Great ! my printer is no longer jamming.I sprayed the pickup roller with V-Belt Spray SPR-BL-V-400MLV from wurth so it is grippy again.

I can't understand more than a word or two, here and there, of what he's saying, but the video is useful. Thanks!

Not moving. I'm taking this piece of shit to the dump.

Me pasa lo mismo, pero a diferencia tuya cambie tanto pickup como separation pad y me sigue pasando lo mismo... a que se debera?
Habrá un problema en la propia unidad. Intente encontrar la unidad y cámbiela.
I did the trick and now it doesn't jam after every page :) Ordered a new one cause it still jams some of the time.
Great

OK, I had toners removed. After reinstalling toners it worked.
