ive been using this build against hard matchups like sett renek yone , and you demolish them. usually switch between heartsteel and frozenheart against heavy ad comps

I think Gwen is an extremely mobile and well-rounded champion. She has dash skills, resistance to effects, and can shock damage.
Don't forget that her second ability gives her free resistance based on her ability points
I had a game where I won top with Gwen with normal build. Was 4/1, but because I was squishy the enemy pyke who got fed just 1 shot me. Had to try some tank items but it was too late. Now I go rod first then nashors. May have to try heartsteal. It’s such a good item for just about every toplaner unless you’re against a range top.

In my opinion the “slowly dying “ you talking about is from players being frustrated at game . But it’s wild rift , like league.. you always come back because it’s an addiction . No matter how much ppl get mad about game . I believe IT IS dying when we don’t see no more events or updates .

I played against gwen yesterday with this Item and runes. The result is no one on our team can kill her. we have 3 cc champs and 1 burst and a yasuo on our team, of course the Yasuo feeds the Gwen and we end up losing the Gwen got 23-1kd

When you cant win your lane just go tanky type of mentality 😂.

haha I had to double check my eyes when I saw that build
the thing about heartsteel is even though you basically forfeit your lane and any kill pressure you have, everyone does a bajillion damage midgame that even if you're 8/0 its so hard to maintain your lead because literally anything that grazes you kills you. It doesn't have to be direct damage anything randomly flying that hits you will put you low enough to take you out of combat unless you have some have some hp stacked up
I think gwen and yasuo suffer this the worst because they are neither frontloaded damage champions or ranged (both get somewhat excused from this since you get in get out asap or you heal with vamp as ranged), and somewhat made worse that they dont have reliable disengage if something goes wrong(most baron laners have lockdown/cc, jglers with yomus runs you down, most adc have some speedbuff/gap closer, sps have cc). You could go damage but it requires you to play so skillfully and pixel perfectly, but heartsteel and titanic both scale so disgustingly well later and you're gameplay is much more stress free in comparison
you could get countered with BORK but no one in rank knows how to check tabs and bork alone doesnt do shit against hp + armor. Like you need a reaallll specialized build/champ just for you to kill you
i feel like the problem is not really that its better, but its just so much easier for the effort/reward that the problem is why not
I think gwen bought books 6:50 cause amp tombs are strangely more gold efficient than its component items unlike AD longswords. idk they really need to fix this it feels strange
I hadn't thought about the gold efficiency as tomes, as I tend to play ad mostly, but I see what you mean now that I think about it. I think the reasoning behind that, is that ad adds power to both autos and abilities for ad champs, whereas tomes only grant power to abilities, not autos, making it necessary to be damage-balanced to have a higher amount for the same 500 gold.
I kind of wish that WR took a page out of dota2 for how they balance champs and items, it seems like a better system. All champs basically fully scale just by getting max level, and items are where counterbuilding the enemy team comp and champs comes into play. This means that adjusting item balancing won't inadvertently make a few champions in the game who build those items require a nerf because they are broken op due to the item change. Then again, league may thrive on bringing different champs in and out of meta play...which I'm not a fan of.
question what are your personal thoughts on brutal as rune with this build?
Tanky and hybrid Gwen have been a thing on pc, I’m more interested in seeing a gamer pull off something goofy like attack speed xD

I tried that build our yesterday. It is completely broken. When you even have a yuumi in your team its gameover.

What frustrating is the tank build are so effective for baron lane champion much more then for the tank itself. Too tanky to kill and yet still be able to inflict damage? For me who specialize in burst damage I only can watch 😢
Hi, do you think that warmog is bad now as first item for tank support, because its passiv isn't activated yet in early game? it needs 1150 extra hp now and in total early i just get (700 from warmog + 150 from boots + 175 from upgraded relic shield = only 1025 extra hp)
It’s bad as a first item in general. Should be a 3rd or 4th pick up, not 1 or 2

Heartsteel or Zeke's 1st item are better
I try this once but didn't go as I expected..u need to be good at Gwen for doing this..bcoz u do very less damage mid game..

Gwen and akali tank is the most stupid thing in baron lane. Imagine u face a champion with a lot of damage in lanning phase,still deal absurb in the late game, and cant be killed easliy

@@fatlummehmeti4362 tfym? heard of playing safe? also this is a situational build meant to be used in ideal matchups. ofc you won't play it against champs like renekton who run bork. you shouldn't even be playing gwen in those cases
