    I tried but it gave an error, does powerbi need to have some specific permission to be able to connect?

      Not really, with the url and the key should be enough. Make sure that the url you are using is correct. I thing datalake s and blob storage accounts urls are a bit different

    I have 5 million files... Power BI keeps reading... And doesn't load

      Json requires a lot of not good performing operation to be transformed. If you have that amount of files I suggest you to build an intermediate layer where you can transform all this data.
