    Perfecting timing. I just found a saree at a thrift store labeled as yardage and I was wondering what to do with it since they are so ornate , this is such a cool idea

      That’s great! You definitely should do something unique with it. So many things you could do with 5 yards of a saree.

    So I’ve actually seen 18th century sari extant gown. You always see them in the late 18th century, because that is when England started colonizing India more and sending back goods. So you actually do see some examples of late 18th century gowns made of re-purposed saris. And they actually get super popular in the Regency era. Way to be accidentally historically accurate.!
