I was moved by the deep historical accumulation of the Hexi Corridor, especially Yani's music, which deepened this feeling. I saw the efforts made by our ancestors to inherit Chinese culture, which inspired my generation to work hard.
Amazing! It's a legendary and glorious place of all cultures communicating with each other. No Hexi Corridor, no prosperity of this giant continent and many old Empires.
That was frigging epic. Not a fan of Yanni, but that was a beautiful piece. It also fit well with the history of China, particularly Xinjiang and Gansu in Northwest China, areas with an amazing ancient and modern history.

Yanni, i wonder. Whether you need to visit those places on the Hexi Corridor in China in order to compose the melody, tune etc to bring out the mood and history that go with this documentary? For eg. I thought Kitaro's Silk Road music really brought out the loneliness of the "singing" desert, mysticism of lost kingdoms along the route eg. Loulan), ancient-ness of it all, and the wretched mood of the caravan travellers and all others who had travelled on the ancient Silk Road that connects east and west.
