Well I’m all tuned up and stoked out! I appreciate you brother. I like to hope that I in some way influenced this video decision.. I can’t wait to see what I can do with it on my 241
Good morning, that bike does sound cool. I'm currently behind this set up. I still got the stock rod and cam in mines. But after seeing that stock rod look like that after I just had my motor screaming in the rain at 54mph I'm scared to turn the bike on now 😂 man I gotta get the billet rod before I blow and have to fix my motor again. Awesome advice 👍
Yeah that's pretty awesome! Be interesting to see how much more RPM and power you could get from it if you next installed a flat top piston (with valve reliefs), and fully ported the head. Possibly larger carb for more air flow.
You should put a 420 cc or 459 cc something big block on a mini bike doodle bug or monster moto or motovox that would be a cool build and compare it to the other mini bikes
Love your vids. Please do not read rod pin bearing diameter at the parting line. Always take your measurment in line with the rod 90 deg from parting line. I think you may have shown that just for the vid. Just had to point this out. Keep up the great work
Yes, you are right. I take numerous measurements when building an engine that doesn't show up in a ten-minute video. I try and keep the videos moving at a reasonable pace so as not to get boring. There are so many engine builds on UA-cam that this stuff can get repetitive really easily. So far we have over three hundred and fifty videos without an engine failure. Yes, it could happen at any time but so far so good. And if it does happen It might make for an interesting video!! 👍👍Thanks for watching!
I’m running the same cam, pred 212 with 1.2 rockers with the +.020 rod and flat top piston stage 5 head with 55lb dual springs. 13/65 gearing I’m running 70-72mph
I was right on suspecting it wasn’t getting oil at high rpms. Nice videos those mods really woke it up and shows how important a billet rod is. You think some thinner oil would have made the stock rod handle a little more rpm? Like say 0w16 0w8..just for experimental purposes only of course
I’m pretty sure he has a lot of nice builds now! He will get to that soon, I would be doing the same with my engines around the shop if I had this many 😆
I got a vid idea.... How about your vigorous testing on cam phasing, as in degreeing the cam? Im not sure who yet has a system to change the dot to dot settings but surely we can come up with a modern idea that works. Id like to see 3 tests... Take a relarively hot modded cam with compression release and tune it up dot to dot on the cam and record the data. Then advance the cam 4 deg and record. Then retard the cam 4 deg. If big differences are seen in either direction then go 8 deg. Whatever direction helps then need a cam designed to take advantage of that cam timing change. Yes the big cams actually make low rpm torque too because the area under the curve is so great that the engine curve is way higher and flatter than the low performance cam...its kinda different than a lumpy cam in your 9:1 stock 350 chev small block, lol
That’s a handful. Lil ripper. The fastest I’ve ever been on a mini bike was 55 on my old trail horse 20 years ago. I did it with a stock Briggs 3.5hp with just some port work. Carb work and I made the pipe. And that was scetchy at 55 on flat road. I had my brother drive my car while i got my bar just from touching the mirror. On a steady pace. I built a belt drive set up for it to mess with ratios and the most I got was 55. ( I had every A belt pulley possible I worked as an electric motor technician).
I love the old school bikes! 55 is plenty fast enough. Have you checked out the playlist? I have gotten quite a few bikes into the 70's so far... ua-cam.com/video/xV8i59aGUao/v-deo.html
Hi black 66. I was wondering if you could make a video of 10” wheels on a mm 80/105. Go power sports has a really cool set of 10” wheels. And I’m interested if they work out and what performance gains/losses. Thanks.
As always, super informative! I have a question I can't get an answer for... Have you ever had or seen a 196 Hemi engine? I have one it came on a generac pressure washer. It's made by loncin, the same company that makes the 212 predator hemi. The head is the exact one as the 212. I finally pulled it to do some portwork and I answered one question
Listen to those lobes at idle…. Damn bro.. I haven’t used mine yet so this is a tiny view into what’s gonna happen.. much more displacement and much higher ratio rockers but same cam and I like how it sounds and pulls at low speeds because I’m gonna be pulling a tall gear meant for high speed with a modded juggernaut
Have you swapped your stock juggernaut internals for the stage 1? I got the blue stage 1 kit and I’m excited to put it in because apparently it gets your stall up to like 3000 or something sweet and it raised the RPM capability and top speed in turn
No clue how I missed that. I need to get my shit together and start my build but my garage is filled with motorcycle parts and it sucks outside in Oregon right now… I don’t wanna wait till spring though.. im gonna have to have my buddy help me build a wood table to go under my pop up work tent. . I’m gonna document everything and post it on my channel. Iv never really posted but if @black66 is ok with it I’ll drop a link when it’s time… It’s gonna be a double bike build and everything is being replaced with aftermarket parts.. best I could afford even when I had to Save for months to get them.
Black66, I have a ct200u-ex. With a mild built 196. I ran 55mph with straight chain 10/60. But I am trying to get my juggaverter to 55mph and I can only get 46Mph out of it. Any tips for making a torque converter run the same top speed as straight chain? I've tried multiple gearing combination. Different belts, ect. Any tips would be much appreciated!
Here is a video where I got the juggernaut to 60+ MPH. I did it with gearing and also the set up I was using has a longer stroke "58MM" than the 196 so it makes more torque to pull the big bike. ua-cam.com/video/W8lcopztTxQ/v-deo.html
I have a motovox with a 224 and a black mamba cam with my 28.5mm valve milled head 28mm carburetor. It's really dangerous 😳 seriously that's alot of yank.
That is amazing. 60MPH up hill is phenomenal, I have to say for the faint of heart, that would be a scary bike. Excellent content!.
Thanks!
From dropping a valve to seizing a rod - and still saved it !!!
Well I’m all tuned up and stoked out! I appreciate you brother. I like to hope that I in some way influenced this video decision.. I can’t wait to see what I can do with it on my 241
Thanks! I bet it will be a torque monster in a 241!
@@Black66where can i get a gas tank like the custom one you have on your mini bike please help
Youe Skill level is dangerous. That much Horse power is insane.

That’s a good running bike you have there

the handlebars are super cool. I might use something similar in a later build of mine
@@WalkerSmallEnginePerformance I just sold my mm80 frame. Super cool tho
a first impression of the wildcat 223 would be cool! looking at getting one to replace the predator 212 on my doodlebug

PS really enjoy your videos!
Could you plz tell me where you got the fuel tank on this bike🙏
That looks like an SKZ tank
Amazon it’s like $150

What’s that encasing the chain and back sprocket? Does it prevent chain slipping?

I had the same thing happen to me on a 5 horse Briggs in the 1980's . But on the Briggs the rod went through the block .
When ya going to play around with the Wildcat 223? They're a great block and for the price a better deal vs predator and tillitson
I’m pretty sure he has a lot of nice builds now! He will get to that soon, I would be doing the same with my engines around the shop if I had this many 😆
Haaa!!! I knew it!! It’s bad ass… listen that nasty cam
I had no clue that the billet rods scoop oil. I always thought they where just stronger. Good to know
@@WalkerSmallEnginePerformance it looks like it. Yeah I should get myself one my next build
It's the duration that gives it that idle. I wish you didn't change ratios for a better comparison
Have you seen the new Coleman minibike with front and rear disk brakes and full suspension
Can you please share the link for the fuel tank.

No, I haven't seen a 196 Hemi.
Good stuff
What do you have on the back sprocket, sprocket guards?
I'm trying to put an 8500rpm cast aluminum flywheel on my stock predator 224. what timing key do you reccomend to buy?
“The rod woulda done good, if I didn’t try to blow it up the last couple videos”
LOL
Where did you buy the throttle Can you send me the link
What length pushrods did you end up using ? I’m working this exact same engine build as we speak 💪🏾💪🏾

Where can I get that gas tank? Love the content! 🔥
You need to get a flat top piston for higher compression
I run the 285 cam on my 225 but it's on a mb200 it's pretty fast
Where did you get fuel tank
1:11 @black66 what push rod size are these ? exactly.?? Plz help
You give me hope to build a drag bike. Thanks
You should!
Black 66, does that cam pull noticeably harder than the fire 265 cam?
I have a fire 265 and I would like to know this as well?
Is this setup good for offroading?
I wonder how much power and abuse that stock piston can handle 🤔
A lot! The Doodlebug has around 30 videos under its belt with the stock piston and is still going strong.

Hey Great vid man! But what pushrod length would you use for a stage 2 head with champion rockers and a hot 265 cam?
what are those brakes?
Where did you get fuel cell? Please drop the link multiple people are wondering ✌🏼
This is a Brad Hill tank. I don't have a link but he might still be on Facebook.
How much that

Tank link 66?? 3 asks now...
The tank is from Brad Hill. I think he is on Facebook.
where did you get the gas tank from
Got it from Brad Hill. lCheck out the build video on this bike. ua-cam.com/video/qE-aznzxMrQ/v-deo.html
What are you using for the on screen speedometer?
I use the camera software or Telemetry overlay .
Did you use gx390 rockers on this engine? I’m trying to find the rockers you used in this video
Found them 👍🏼
It DOES have a flattop piston. What cam would you to think will work, and what pushrods???? Thanks
What length push rods did you use?
Yes. What push rods size?
I got my stock rod up to 66mph and same thing happened to me it started slowing down so I opened it up n rod looks the same
Why philippines
Do you sell anyone you mini bikes
Yes, I will sell some of them .
