Yes everyone got a nickname and mine was " Skin "! Short for Skinny because I was so damn light!! 155 lbs and never gain an pound until I got into my 50s!!
Welcome home!! Thank you!! To all combat vet's! From the bottom of my heart ❤!! You veitnam combat vet's are ( HEROES!! ) AND YOU SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE NFL PLAYERS AND THOSE HOLLYWOOD SCUM BAGS TAKE FOR GRANTED?? NOTHING LESS!! YOU EARNED THAT!! THE AMERICAN DREAM IS THEIR'S ABOVE ALL?? THINK ABOUT IT PEOPLE??? THEY SHOULD WANT FOR NOTHING???
I hate Americas wars, like I despise all wars of aggression, but what kind of a man wouldn't like the stories of this guy or admire him and his fellow crewmen for how they held themselves during their active service? And after all, wasn't it mainly his love and empathy for his fellow soldiers that made him do the things he did, way more than any feelings of hatred or the desire to kill the Vietnamese? I hope I'm not glorifying things here, but it sure was not him that made the decision to start that "conflict" overseas! If only the politicians and war profiteers would have to suffer the pain that torments the souls of those combat veterans over the horrible things they witnessed instead of decent men like this pilot!
This Gentleman is a Master of the art of conveying an Important Story.............
