Great work Jeffrey ! I will have a similar one with Kunming since my flight to China has been rescheduled. I just started my pre- quarantine quarantine of four days in Thailand
Hi Jeffrey, thanks for this. I have a question about payment methods for quarantine hotels. Were you allowed to pay by cash or did you have to use a china bank card/wechat pay? Were international cards (visa cards) allowed?
hi Clayton, sorry I got a business M visa so I don't know the requirements for working Z visas. I believe you need a invitation letter from the company, a PU invitation letter from the government (this is the hardest part, but you can get around this if your employee has received the Chinese vaccine, which is what I did ). The company invitation letter should explain why it's urgent and essential this employee enters China at this moment. If it's not apparent that the urgency outweighs the risk of potentially importing a COVID case, the visa will probably be denied.
@@abdelhadiaziz2432 then you have to find a transit flight, but have to check with the China embassy in the transit country what the rules are to let you fly from that country to China.
Hey Anthony, I left the 14-day hotel in the midst of this Shanghai covid wave so city +7 hotels were full. We got sent out to Chongming Island, staying at the lodging for the Flower Expo. Its manufactured housing in a shipping container, but actually quite nice. Have fresh air, birds chirping, grass to look at. Wifi is great, rooms are brand new. But it's like 2 hours from the city lol
Kudos to you for your persistence in overcoming all the obstacles to get into China. 👏 👏. Put others to shame with less hoops to jump across and constantly complaining over small trivial issues. Awe inspiring Story indeed !
Wow! Thank you for sharing your experiences. I heard a lot about China's regulations and procedures during the beginning of pandemic, but not so much now. You must pay for at least an extra 3 weeks of housing to travel to China? 350 yuan/day for hotel 100 yuan/day for food, so total for 3-week quarantine is about $1,500? I suppose that is not too spendy, but if you're going to China, ideal for only long stays after all that work to get there and be able to move freely. I know some cities have closed markets recently. Hopefully, that won't be the case for the city you travel to once quarantine is finished. Also, have you seen the documentary "The Earthing Movie"? It's on UA-cam for free. I recommend for your physical ailments. Be well, safe travels! ✌️ ❤️ ☀️

Are there any PCR or there tests during quarantine?? Can you please tell us what are the charges of the quarantine hotels and tests???
There are PCR tests on day 1, 4, 7, 10, and 14. My quarantine hotel cost 450rmb per day (includes 3 meals). No charge for PCR test
Great info Jeffrey. Do you have a video or info on what employers need to get someone into China with the COVID restrictions?

Thanks! Yes I’m still on Dupixent. Injecting every 5-6 weeks
