I’m a little late but mate that’s an outstanding job. That paint is just right matching the black and chrome theme of the rest of the bike. I do love my floorboards on my 07 Heritage.
Love what you did with it man I just got me an 07 fat boy was thinking about doing the same thing thanks for the video I hope mine turns out as good as yours
I think the Fatboy in the original format looks "tougher" but your build is outstanding! The new version of your bike is gorgeous. That paint really sets it apart from other rides. Nicely done sir!
I just picked up a 99 completely stock with 3200k miles and some SE slipons. the tank is off for wiring some 16 apes. and the fishtails are installed. that thinner belt/pulley conversion interests me. maybe I'll touch base with you later if you have the time and specs you used. ur bike looks sweet! hope you still have it. those evo's are awesome bikes. thanks for sharing👍
Sounds like a nice set up man did the thinner belt conversion basically cuz i had to to make everything clear but yeah Im mote then happy to answer and questions u have as best as i can unfortunatelythe bike it gone i kinda build them to sell them something i enjoy doing
I just ran across your video, great job brother. I’m getting ready to start a similar project on a 99 Heritage Softail Classic and I have a few questions for you if you don’t mind. Mainly about pulling apart that primary to swap the belt, if you had to go with a narrower belt to fit the 150 tire, are those dna wheels, did the 18” wheel throw of your speedo, the spacer kit info, what shocks you bought to lower the rear etc... Let me know if I can pick your brain a little bit maybe through email. Sorry for all the questions, you’ve done most of what I’m planning and needed to ask LOL. Thank you
Sweet, huge improvement, nice beefy front forks, I hate forks with the ugly rubber boot plunger look. I lke springers but these are very beautiful. They can down talk Harley's for whatever reason they like but they would be hard pressed to find another bike that can be transformed into a work of art exhibiting it's grace and style like no other, which you have done here.
very nice ride friend, very nice,i have a 95 fatboy at the engine builder now ,cam,2into 1 exhaust, single fire ignition mikuni carb, lil head work pistons, etc,my next step is custom wheels, can you post me some info on where to get some nice custom rims ,thanks ,and again very sweet ride
Much appreciated Tracy sounds like u have a nice build going on...if ur looking for the wheels that are on my Fatboy or all the bikes I build I usually shop EBay just look for fat spoke or mammoth spoke u can pick how many spikes u want a lot or a little they also usually have them in all black or black and chrome or just chrome but as u see in the video of u wanna keep it kinda cheaper u will have to go with the 2000 and up and change out a few things but if ur willing to put out a little cash u can get them for the 95 if u need me to I can do a little hunting and send u links hope this helps
width of the front tire was about the same as stock but 21 inch 170 20 21 tire size alot of them will just bolt right up but I had to change alot out because the front wheel was built for a 2000 and up fatboy so had to change rotors and bought a shim kit that had all the different sized shims then put the correct ones on and bolted it down was pretty easy hope this helps
That's a nice bike, how much does cost to do the upgrade I have a Fatboy samething and I like to do something like yours and I will like to know how much I'm gonna spend about
Hey man, beautiful bike! I just picked up a 04 fat boy and am trying to do something similar to the build you did. Was curious if you wouldn’t mind sending me some links to the parts you used?
Good job! It looks great! I have a 93 Fatboy with drag bars and want to go with apes. If it's not asking too much, could you possibly tell me the lengths of the brake lines and cables that you used? It would help me to find out how much (aprox.) money I need to order them. If it's not something easy to do, it's ok, don't worry about it.
For a 16 inch ape u will wanna run about a +10 cable u can probably get away with +8 but if I remember right I ran a plus 10...I don’t mind helpin out that’s what I’m here for so let me know if u have anymore questions 👍
Nothing at all it fit right under of course had to upgrade rear wheel along with brake disc and pulley but that was only because the wheels didn't fit that year
True but at the time of this build I was wanting a heritage pretty bad and couldn’t find one but did snag this fatboy pretty cheap and it’s based off the same frame of the heritage so I did the transformation
@@SkillinTime I like that seat too. I think I might pick this one up. I have a 98 fatty with mostly original parts. I have 16" apes and some extra chrome accessories. There's some similarities between our bikes. I wanna keep my stock black paint tho. I wanna do same size wheels too. Don't want to deal with fender issues, but I guess you gotta. Nice bike all the way thru bro!
Yessir bike looks sick as hell. Mine is a 99 and your right i can’t find anything on UA-cam or parts other than 2000 up bullshit. I just ordered them, any wiring tips?
@@lucadenuzzio5673 yeah I took it all off because I was painting the bike and it is a tight fit because of the wheel so u might have to drop it unless u can get a wrench back there the wires ride the inner fender by use of metal clips just cut them solder them and put a sleeve on them and ur good to go
Would be a good idea but in my area the heritages go for quite a bit and I got a good deal on the fat boy so just took on the project would have been alot easier to buy a heritage though
@@SkillinTime So long as youre happy, thats all that matters. I own a 97 fatboy and just like the stock look. The spoked wheels you have now create the visual illusion of the bottom half of the bike being gone. Plus the bike is too tall in the rear and the back area looks hollowed. But dont take it personal because I dress like a girl at home and do things with my wifes boyfriend, so who am I?

@@SkillinTime Nope, didn’t ruin it. Not only are there plenty of stock ‘90’s fatboys still out there for the purists, but you had an individual vision for your bike and it’s looking great 👍

Awesome sounds like it's time for a makeover if u have any questions I'm happy to help I definetly think it's a good look
I was thinking of doing a chicano look on my 18 fatboy after seeing yours i think i,ll go for it,well played thats a great bike u built.
