Coming and going in a calm matter even ignoring your dog for about 15 minutes before leaving and when coming in really does work. Also doing your "routine" like grabbing your keys and putting your shoes on but then not leaving seems to help. My dog had mild to moderate seperation anxiety and those two things helped the most. Good reminder that we should start practicing them now before returning to our normal routines of leaving the house.
I have done all these things and it really does work! Hello I just got a new puppy and have been going through so many videos I have even went through some of Cesar’s and by far this was the best and most helpful!!!!! Thank you so much 😊
I thought my dog just slept while I was gone, until I got a camera with alerts. My first experience with the camera was it buzzing with every movement during church! I counted later, 140 movements from looking out the window then to the door. There is no barking, scratching or bad behaviors. But he has started to look in every room and howl. I've gotten a babysitter for him.
I want to thank y’all so much for your advice on training. We have very recently adopted a 1 yr old Rottweiler/ Coon hound Mix. We were told that he was about 14 months old but when we took him to our vet for his get acquainted visit, she was shocked to find him much younger that that. He knew how to sit and play fetch and he was pretty good on the leash. But after watching your videos on how to stop the pulling and how to get your dog to drop the ball, how to get your dog to quilt picking up stuff on walks, he is so much better on our walks. We still have some issues with separation anxiety and him being in a crate. I can walk out of the house for only a few minutes before he starts getting into the trash or he’ll find something to get into and just tear it up. (He’s so fast!). He’s like a toddler, if he’s too quiet , you know he’s up to something no good. I’m terrified to leave him alone for any real period of time and most definitely not out of the crate. But when I do put him In the crate, and just go to the garage maybe for 5 minutes he barks this really shrill bark and he starts salivating so badly and you can just see the fear in his eyes. His anxiety is really bad. I really don’t know what to do to get thru this. If we can get him to where he crates easier, and he not so anxious, we’ll be over the hump on our training. One thing I didn’t mention, he was hit by a car in Feb. he broke is pelvis and a few other bones and had his left lung was injured. He was taken to the Texas A&M vet hospital by a Good Samaritan who witnessed the accident. He came thru it like a champ and he’s not had any problems with walking or running at all. But I’m wondering if his fear of the crate stems from him being in the hospital for all that time. He was picked up by the rescue that we got him from and had been with them every since until we picked him up 2 weeks ago. Thank you again for all the help. I had watched so many other videos before I found y’all and I’ve been watching very since.
I enjoy your teaching it helps remind me of little things I forget. I enjoy teaching my own service dogs. Since I’m disabled and home it’s fun to see how they love to help me.
I have a wool blanket over pups crate mainly for the cold where we are but it also comes in handy when leaving the house. A frozen kong and snuggled up in the crate all cozy.
I wish I can post pictures of how much my dog loves his crate... he sleeps on his back all stretched out extra comfortable. And he's still a puppy about 11 weeks old. I have a separator in his crate and his bed cushion doesn't quite fit so I had to fold a quarter of it. So in the inside it looks like he has a elevated bunk and a bottom one ( aka living room and bedroom) he's so loved and he knows and expresses every ounce of it!!! 🐶🐶🐶💖💖💖
@@queenogt We put him in there as soon as we stepped foot in the door when we brought him home. Our car ride was long so he loved on him in the car, but when we got home we put him on is bed and he slept for a couple hours and the rest was history.
Brilliant video as always. Thanks for these pearls of wisdom. We are having this issue with our 1yr old Labrador. He was doing really well but as he reached adolescence he totally went back on himself. Something I wondered if anyone could advise on is the stuffed Kong. We have one and stuff it before we go. From watching the camera, what we notice is that literally the second he finishes it, he stands up and starts barking straight away. We freeze them to make them last longer but it's literally seconds after he's finished and he's worse than ever. So the Kong does work but only for holding him for a short period.
great tips thanks! I have a 5-month-old puppy and we are finding the separation anxiety hard. We bought a Kong and are going to start today leaving for small intervals and give her the Kong. We are finding that she likes her crate but as soon as we leave, she cries for a long time! Sometimes she even wets the crate even if he had her out right before. One time we left for an hour, and we came back and heard her crying through the door. The neighbours must hate us! We are going to try to work her up to us being gone because we are very active people and will be going out once things start opening up.
I have a 10 week old puppy. and went theough couple of days of hell to crate train him he was crying and barking fist time for 1 hour and 30min. In order to not get complains from neighbours I put a load of cushions and pairings from all sides of the crate to minimise the sound of Barking and it worked. Alternatively you can buy a no bark collar.
I would not recommand crate training for people who cannot supervise the puppy 100% of the time. This is as simple as this: if you work and you need to be outside for 4+ hours, just forget about crate training. Professionals says that crate training should be used only if you can supervise your puppy all time. Specially when they are young. I have never used a crate for my dogs and they are fine
So interesting to see a lot of training in the US is based on crates. Most people in other countries have never heard of them before. It’s even forbidden by law to keep them in there.
Any tips on separation anxiety in the human that has to leave their dog?! Haha... I've been with my boi every moment of every day these last 2 months... including driving nearly 3k miles in total to quarantine. I've had him for 6 years and these past 2 months have been wonderful with him. Going back to work Monday now...
As things start to change in "A couple months" lol RIP. I've been working remote for over two years now...Great video though, working on separation training with my Aussie pup and it's hard when you work from home!
Thanks for the hints. We will be moving from a house with presence of human 24/7 to a household with everyone out of the house for work. It worries me .
Been loving your channel as I prepare to get a new puppy. Question: what are your thoughts on using a playpen/enclosure when not at home, rather than a crate? Advantageous/disadvantages?
With dogs who have been adopted but where at the pound a long time a room might be better. They might highly reactive to being in a crate that is small like there living space at the pound. Disadvantage is you need to dog proof the room or block off things like entertainment stand full of electronics. Year late but hopefully this helps others who see your question.
Hi! Amazingly helpful videos! Question - Ive noticed there are two approaches on crate training puppies during the day. 1) gradually increase the amount of time the puppy is in their crate 2) put the puppy in the crate X amount of hours during the day. Do you have a preferred method?
Thank you so much for your videos! Did you ever do a video on how long or how often it is ok or recommended to crate your dogs? It seems like my 4.5 month old border collie puppy won't calm down outside her crate. I don't want to crate her the entire day, but she never seems to settle. I started crating her after a while and she'd fall asleep or just relax in there but she never does it outside the crate. But now she's in there most of the time if we're not on walks, or playing or I can't supervise really closely - which is while I work from home 8 hours. I'd love have her out more and just have her hang for an hour or two but she so hyper that I feel like I have to put her in her crate. I'd love to get your perspective on that!
Hey guys :-) I have been watching many of your videos because I've recently adopted a female one-year-old mix and I want to train her to do a few of the basic things. Your videos are great and I love them. One quick question: what is your advice about crating your dog when you're leaving for a while versus letting them were unfree through the house?
Very informative tips. My Great Dane is 9 weeks old and he is still having separation anxiety from his siblings. I did give him a treat every time he calms down in his cart and ignore him when he is whining. It helped a great deal. At some point of time he seems tired and calms down. As soon as I see him calm. I treat him. But the moment I leave he starts again. Correct me if I’m wrong, do i keep on treating him when he settles down and when do I stop and at what point do I let him out?
Thank you for a great video! I've practised everything you talked about. I prepared my dog beforehand to stay longer and longer, I exercise her alot before I leave. I leave her favourite toys and some treats here and there. But she still chews on some things in the house and mostly just takes my stuff to where she sleeps. She even pulls the whole duvet on the floor, but doesn't chew on it... I don't know what else I can do..
When I come home, I go directly to the cat and he ignores me. Literally his face says, why you touching me? While my dogs are going crazy of happiness. I have 2 good ones that calm down and one is a cry baby.
Our dog howls in his crate after a few seconds of whining. The trainer says this is echolocation and he’s having separation anxiety. It’s very disheartening to feel like prisoners in our own home. Would love advice on this and if the howling is truly a different/worse sign than bark or whine?
I don’t know why crates have become so fashionable now days. We never used them when I had dogs with my parents but now it seems it’s a must crate train the dogs. Any dog with SA will be far worse locked in a cage Imagine a a child getting lost from a parent then getting stuck in a lift! Shear panic! This is why dogs pee and poo when left usually happens within the first 20 mins they are left. Crates also cause muscle wastage and weakness if dogs are lock in them for hrs each day. Dogs shouldn’t be left alone for for hrs. 4 max each day. Dog walker or day care if you are out working for eight hrs daily. Recuse dogs also are much more lightly to Suffer SA My rescue dog did suffer but I’ve managed to get him through it thank god! I feel for all of you having to deal with this phobia your dogs have it’s a slow process 😌
What time frame (number of days/weeks) do you recommend for this process? I have a 4 1/2 month old quarantine puppy. with a family of 4 adults someone is always home with him. He gets upset when we leave the room.
Our dog was born September 2021. I just started to take up the stinky pee and poop garbage and tell her, "phew girl I am going to put this outside and come back. Okay?" And I told her, "stay" and "do you smell me? Im still near. Do you hear me? " I walked by the window so she heard and smelled me and as i put the garbage in the bin I peeped in the window so she saw me and she looked relieved and when I returned I calmly said, "See? Told you I'd come back" and when I washed my hands and dried them THEN I petted her and let her fuss in relief
How can you recommend putting a dog in a crate for 8 hours straight when leaving home ? What about puppies? They will definitely poop inside the crate ? From a practical stand point it’s impossible to think of
I agree! I think people can overuse the crate. Apparently professionals say to never leave a dog in a crate during the day for longer than 4 hours as it’s hard on their joints and mental health!
@@theJ2theQ I would definitely not recommand a crate for people who cannot supervise the puppy 100% of the time and for long period (usually 3-4 months straight). Most of us work and cannot be 100% present with the dog. I’m just saying that from a real life perspective, crate training is not suitable for most of us, except dog trainers who have full time to do this
I love your videos so much!! Thank you for this. One question: Is it appropriate to start this the first week I have my dog, or should I wait a week or two for him to settle into my home first?
I'm doing a lot of puppy research and everything I see says you can start everything immediately. Cesar says you can wait to start command training until you've worked on building trust, but you can start exercise/discipline/affection right away.
I don't have a crate but I don't know if leaving my dog in a small place for 7 hours is actually good? What if they want to move places? I'm just sceptical. My dog howls like crazy when she's home alone
Hi McCann dogs! I have a related question. My dog whines and waits by the door when I leave, even if my husband is home. He's not sure what to do about it. He wants to soothe her or distract her but this seems to reinforce the anxious behavior and doesn't calm her down. I was wondering what other people in the home should do to address the dog whining when I step out. If both me and my husband leave, she settles on her own in a few minutes.
I took my puppy from a dog foster home about a year ago. I love him to bits; he has a great personality, and I feel that he loves our family so much, but he barks A LOT... So, leaving home is always a challenge for us. My husband and I were thinking about taking him to 'doggy school', but then again, it’s extremely expensive, and the nearest 'doggy school' is far away from us. Maybe you have some advice? THANK YOU!!!
does this also apply to when i have to leave my dog outside of a grocery store for couple of minutes? 'cause sometimes she goes crazy: barks and jumps at people - she never does it under any other circumstances
I just adopted my dog and I am working on crate training with her. However, she will not eat any treats or bones when I am out of the room. Do you have any other ideas for praise other than my voice and me coming into the room?
My rescue hates the crate but goes crazy and destructive when I leave outside the crate. She is a 7 year old rescue and is not treat or toy motivated. Help
My puppy is actually worse when I’m home. When I’m at work my mom says he’s really quiet. He almost always barks when you put him in the crate. He only doesn’t when he’s had a ton of exercise. He’s a 4 month old Afghan hound. He’s the absolute worst after around 3 -4 o’clock
My lab puppy at 12 weeks cries and goes nuts jumping when I return. I don't make a big deal out of returning. I stay still and quiet till he calms down then reward him. It takes him ages to calm down. Should I persevere with this? Thank you x
Personally myself- I think crating is cruel. However There are dog /pet play pens you can purchase/ or also called gated pet runs- that you can move and fit either in the kitchen for example - so you section off a part of a room to keep your dog from roaming the house/scratching doors etc. But there’s plenty of room for your dog to move about- be able to get away from it’s accidents if it does go to the toilet. And room for his bed/water and toys. Etc. Leave puzzle toys with him/her. Can purchase this off eBay.
I’d never leave my 6 month old whippet with a Kong without supervision. The first time we gave him a puppy Kong he got his lower jaw stuck in it. Beware!
I just got a new 2 yr old dog. She sleeps fine in her crate but she whines and scratches on the wire when I put her in there for work and I'm afraid to let her out while I'm gone because she is dominant with my older male dog. So I don't know what to do
I have a question. I have a 10 month old pup, my first dog ever. Do they get separation anxiety if they're not really alone? Because when I'm at work, she stays at home with my mother and siblings. So do dogs get it under those circumstances? Also, how do I help my separation anxiety?
When i put my puppy in the crate it seems that she is more comfortable with a covered crate. If i leave her, the crate needs to be uncovered or i still need to cover it if she feels better that way?
I just need my dog to stop. She is 2 and I took her in from someone and she has anxiety. I’m already getting threatened to be kicked out and I’m so stressed
Same I just got a complaint from my apartment complex about my dog barking at night but I work nights so there’s nothing I can do 😩 I guess now we have to go into training
Hey! and thank you for this video, as always a source of so many helpful informations! This time I have a question though…I’ve adopted my dog just over a two weeks ago. She follows me around everywhere, always making sure I’m within her eyesight. She also licks me quite a lot, checking on me twice a night too, just to go back to sleep. I can’t leave her alone even for a few seconds, she cries desperately. I live alone so I’m her main caregiver. Today I also noticed when we visited my mum, that my dog cried almost the same way when my mum left for a few minutes (while I was still at home). I feel like it must be a lot of stress for my dog to constantly guard me, always checking where I am and so stressed when I just go behind the closed door.. what can I do? Could this be hormonal? She’s had her first bleeding just a week before I took her, not neutered yet. How to get her more relaxed and focused on toys and fun instead of watching me 24/7? I’d be very grateful for tips! Thanks, Monika
What about dogs that won't touch treats while anxious? My dog won't touch treats or toys when I crate her and have to leave. She has no problem going in the crate on her own, but if I leave...OH BOY...no treat or toy will calm her.
My 9 week old mini doxie cannot be left for even a minute and I don't know what to do - even going out of the room for a few seconds results in crying and whining. He just won't settle :/ He also has big problems not being able to PROPERLY sleep if he's not on my lap. I am doing crate training and he manages to sleep through the night with minimal complaining, but during the day its much more difficult. What to do if you have a super clingy dog and you work from home but still need to train him?
How do we stop are dog from crying when one of us leaves the house? He doesn’t cry at all when we’re both gone and he’s in his crate (we have a nanny cam and watch him, so we have proof he’s fine) but the second my boyfriend leaves while I’m still home, he’s crying and whining. I ignore him completely, but it doesn’t seem to help! Also if we’re in public and one of us walks away he starts whining, I don’t want to talk to him so he doesn’t think crying gives him attention, but i feel so bad for everyone around us having to listen to it.
My puppy has abandonment issues because we found him dumped on the side of the road. I can't even go in and out of the room without him whining and panicking. It doesn't matter how often I leave, it doesn't matter how I act, he always worries that I'm leaving him 🥺 Will it just take time?
I have a built in no routine for leaving house. It’s called being scatterbrained. Where’s my keys, where’s my phone search for five minutes. Get in car. I forgot my glasses. He cannot be crated he will bark nonstop if he can’t watch from front window randomly then check back door then lay down next to it. I have family home that has observed him. He was crate trained as a puppy had no problem as long as I was in the building. I could go anywhere in the house out of sight. For any amount of time. He will show absolutely interest in chews if I am not in the building. Luckily once I could trust him to not have accidents I gave him the opportunity to show me what he’d do if I left for a short trip. He was fine-. I have left him home with the rest of the family. There are five of us: my husband, myself and three teenage kids. if I am gone for more than a few hours he will howl. He has at least one other person there. He will play a bit but then asks to lay outside by the gate or come back in search then lay at the door. Is this bad for him?
If we leave our puppy in the crate for 8 hours, they'll end up rolling around with their potty, how do i avoid this? is it best to leave them in the backyard?
any advise for people working full time job. I hope you could do a video to advise people like me whom work full time job to have a dog. Thank you. I really like your video
Lisa Foster I usually laugh. “well look at that. Ya gonna clean that up ya duphus?” , “ Good grief your such a slob. Worse than the kids” Or “that’s pretty gross. Did you enjoy that stinky garbage? I forgot about that meat wrapper in there didn’t I?” His reaction is priceless. It goes from sheepish retreat to glad your home! Never mind the mess.....is it time to play?
My 6 year old rescue dog is hurting herself in the crate biting the door. and destructive outside the crate. She is not playful but loves a good walk. Help..
I can be away from home close to ten hours pretty regularly. Is crate training still advisable? I leave her outside but she's super anxious and destructive trying to get back in.

Do you recommend a crate ? My dood is a shih tzu she’s 11. I just moved to a Diff state a month ago. Now when I leave her home for 2/4 hrs at a time she is going to the bathroom everywhere . She doesn’t bark or chew things thankfully.
I have a 4 month old small Terrier mix she’s only 4lbs and has really bad separation issues when I leave she howls and poops in her cage it’s only for maybe 3 hr at a time any advice ?
Graphix yeah I was wondering like they are farmer dogs, they herd sheep hours outside, I just feel bad for them to be inside doing nothing, like I know they get mentally stimulated and they probably roam around, but still, I feel like they should get at least 3 hours of intense exercise outside

Wow, how did you get him to love it? Mine hates it even though I throw treats in there
@@queenogt
We put him in there as soon as we stepped foot in the door when we brought him home.
Been doing these things, and they work.
Alright, I'ma get a cat.
PeriodT
Sooooo much easier....
Me lmfao 😂 but it's too late I already have a dog with separation anxiety
Lazy
How to avoid separation anxiety when you live with people that wont do the right thing and constantly undo all the work you put in
send your people to the pound and get new ones
lmao legit this is my problem. living w a roommate sucks!!
You should probably have a discussion with them so everyone is on the same page.
Frrr
This is relatable lol
Saw the Twitch shirt, I knew you guys were nerds and I love it!
This helped so much, thanks!
So interesting to see a lot of training in the US is based on crates. Most people in other countries have never heard of them before. It’s even forbidden by law to keep them in there.
Maybe in your specific country or EU but they’re big here in NZ, Australia etc
You seem to be the kindest person and I can tell you love animals . Soo inspiring
Great messages! We've been worried about the transition for our puppy and these are great reminders! Thank you for creating this video :)
:/ that suck!
Do you have other humans in your life?
Ibn Khairuddeen (ابن خير الدين الألباني) LOL-
Camera 😊
How did it go??
I somehow ended up with a Beagle pup. By December I'll be regularly going to office. :( just scary when I hear stuff about this breed.
How is it going? We have a 10 month old beagle and the separation anxiety is crazy!
Thank you so helpful. We dont create our dogs, but leave them in a closed patio instead.
It looks like it needs a good exercise before you start working.
I love your attitude
Do you suggest covering the whole crate?
Hey guys :-) I have been watching many of your videos because I've recently adopted a female one-year-old mix and I want to train her to do a few of the basic things. Your videos are great and I love them. One quick question: what is your advice about crating your dog when you're leaving for a while versus letting them were unfree through the house?
You guys are so awesome 😎 you train my dog so well !
Thank you thank you thank you This helped me tremendously!!
My dog shows separation anxiety when I get home! Last night he spent an hour drooling and cleaning himself , licking his lips and me.
Ty for your tips. I’m trying some of your tips now as I’ll be returning to the office in Sept.
This is really detailed and helpful. Thank you!
Any dog with SA will be far worse locked in a cage
Imagine a a child getting lost from a parent then getting stuck in a lift!
Recuse dogs also are much more lightly to Suffer SA
My rescue dog did suffer but I’ve managed to get him through it thank god! I feel for all of you having to deal with this phobia your dogs have it’s a slow process 😌
This is very helpful. Thank you for making this video, I am going to share it with some friends! 😀
Hope my experience helps
I’m just saying that from a real life perspective, crate training is not suitable for most of us, except dog trainers who have full time to do this
Yes I agree.
I love your videos so much!! Thank you for this. One question: Is it appropriate to start this the first week I have my dog, or should I wait a week or two for him to settle into my home first?
From previous videos, yes.... this type of crate training can be introduced as soon as you bring your new puppy/dog home.
I'm doing a lot of puppy research and everything I see says you can start everything immediately. Cesar says you can wait to start command training until you've worked on building trust, but you can start exercise/discipline/affection right away.
wow i’m so glad i found these videos!! thank you soo much!
Love your videos, guys! So practical! Thank you 👍
Thank you for this videos!!
Good advice. I understand not making a big deal when you leave, but what’s the purpose behind not making a scene when you come home?
Very useful video, thanks. Gr from Holland.
Excellent tips thanks 🙏
I took my puppy from a dog foster home about a year ago. I love him to bits; he has a great personality, and I feel that he loves our family so much, but he barks A LOT... So, leaving home is always a challenge for us. My husband and I were thinking about taking him to 'doggy school', but then again, it’s extremely expensive, and the nearest 'doggy school' is far away from us. Maybe you have some advice? THANK YOU!!!
Best books on Dog Separation anxiety: Malena DeMartini Separation Anxiety in Dogs and Julie Naismith Be Right Back.
does this also apply to when i have to leave my dog outside of a grocery store for couple of minutes? 'cause sometimes she goes crazy: barks and jumps at people - she never does it under any other circumstances
I would say so, maybe try to carry out these tips and see what happens!
Same here 😭
I just adopted my dog and I am working on crate training with her. However, she will not eat any treats or bones when I am out of the room. Do you have any other ideas for praise other than my voice and me coming into the room?
You could try a marker word/ clicker training, and throwing in her favourite toy if she still likes it that way
I would never recommend crate. Imagen beeing locked in a crate for many hours?
My rescue hates the crate but goes crazy and destructive when I leave outside the crate. She is a 7 year old rescue and is not treat or toy motivated. Help
good advice
Great content like always!🙏🙏
My puppy is actually worse when I’m home. When I’m at work my mom says he’s really quiet. He almost always barks when you put him in the crate. He only doesn’t when he’s had a ton of exercise. He’s a 4 month old Afghan hound. He’s the absolute worst after around 3 -4 o’clock
My lab puppy at 12 weeks cries and goes nuts jumping when I return. I don't make a big deal out of returning. I stay still and quiet till he calms down then reward him. It takes him ages to calm down. Should I persevere with this? Thank you x
What if you don't crate your dog? She has free range of the house and is a vizsla so i am worried when we go back to work
Personally myself- I think crating is cruel.
However There are dog /pet play pens you can purchase/ or also called gated pet runs-
that you can move and fit either in the kitchen for example - so you section off a part of a room to keep your dog from roaming the house/scratching doors etc. But there’s plenty of room for your dog to move about- be able to get away from it’s accidents if it does go to the toilet.
And room for his bed/water and toys. Etc. Leave puzzle toys with him/her.
Can purchase this off eBay.
L Micky hey! That’s a really good idea and good in between of letting them have freedom but not controlling them too much 💕💕 thank h
I’d never leave my 6 month old whippet with a Kong without supervision. The first time we gave him a puppy Kong he got his lower jaw stuck in it. Beware!
It means the toy was just too big for him yet
Great tips and super relevant. Thanks!
Super helpful!
I want to know the answer to this too please
Covered is fine! Whatever makes the crate feel like a safe space for them. Most dogs actually prefer a "den" like area so covering can be good
As long as your dog doesn't try to eat the blanket or anything that could harm them it will be fine
Alix R. Yeah, i put a blanket over the crate except for the front so she can see a bit out
Can you start crating a puppy that's 6-7 months old? Or are they too old at that point? Thanks!
It's never too late Sarah, it may take some extra work to learn this new skill but its 100% doable!
Happy Training!

Hi Monika! How have things been going with you and your pup? I just adopted a one year old and am dealing with a lot of separation anxiety.
I have a furbo 360 it is great for checking up on all my dogs and it throws treats 2
I would work with a trainer, hes still a a baby - mine is 13 weeks now and they need to learn
Thanks
The same prob i have
NEVER EVER discipline the dog (for anything - damages, etc) on your return!! That point needs to be emphasized!!
Good to know
My 6 year old rescue dog is hurting herself in the crate biting the door. and destructive outside the crate. She is not playful but loves a good walk. Help..
Stop with the crate. Let her roam inside the home now
At what age can you start this training
How long could you leave a dog in the crate?
thank u for all the potty training tips it’s helped a lot.😁
great advice.
I got a dog 4 days ago from a shelter and his anxiety even when I lock myself in my room is very annoying. Thank you.
Be patient they just love you so much and see you as a hero because you rescued them.
@@marisolsibrian1406wow I never thought like that! ❤
i have a foster dog.. hes too big for a crate. what's the best way for us then?
I can be away from home close to ten hours pretty regularly. Is crate training still advisable? I leave her outside but she's super anxious and destructive trying to get back in.
Do you have a playpen merchandise recommendation!? Especially if you have a smart jump dog like a BC :)
How tall is enough to "maybe" not worry about them not clearing it. :)
Hi I have a question! For how long daily do you walk/exercise your border collies?
they should get about an hour everyday but it still wont usually tire them out
Graphix yeah I was wondering like they are farmer dogs, they herd sheep hours outside, I just feel bad for them to be inside doing nothing, like I know they get mentally stimulated and they probably roam around, but still, I feel like they should get at least 3 hours of intense exercise outside
