- Hey Everybody!
My apologies, my mic died on me so there are some very obvious mic switches throughout the vid!
Use my code LHR10 for 10% off Gunpla at bchobbies.com and build something cool! Follow me on all socials @liamshobbyroom to see updates on my custom builds!
Wow! Blown away at how you elevated this kit to a crazy next level! It made the transformed version look really rad!
Thanks Adam!! It was an interesting journey, not my fav kit but lots of cool parts to paint!!
LOL old and busted and new hotness. Great vid!
Thank you!!!
If I remember right (it's been a long time since reading G-Unit) the beam rifles were on a rack that dropped down when in Mobile Suit mode, when it transformed, the rack, with the weapons on it) retracts up into the armor
I see!! Thanks so much for the clarification, I couldn't find it anywhere!
@@LiamsHobbyRoom I'm mainly glad that they made the G-Unit ones and I'm still hoping for Bandai to do the Tiel's Impulse and Frozen Teardrop suits as actual model kits...considering the original Impulse ones were kitbashes of the various non-grade ones that they never actually put out instructions for and we only got a figure of Wing Snow White from Teardrop...
my god, that finished kit looks so good. What an upgrade from the snap built kit. Hope my gunpla kits turn out at least half as good when I start painting them
Thanks so so much @kimchipunch! There are lots of areas I wish I had handled better but overall I'm happy with it. I figured the best way to learn was just to practice and try new things as much as I can. I wish you luck and fun in your journey, and I'd love to see anything you paint! Feel free to DM me on insta
@@LiamsHobbyRoom thank you. Will do ^^
Gold instead of yellow is always (or 90% of the time) a good thing on gunpla
I know it's a popular choice, but it generally looks out of place to me and a bit tacky. But for a big goofy purple robot it seemed on brand 😅
Looks great. Nice work!
Thanks so much!!
Gold-painted parts is really nice ✨
Ahh thank you very much!!! 😁
Looking forward to seeing more from you. Found you through the gunpla network you were in today and I will be keeping an eye on you. You seem like you are a lot of fun and really do enjoy building and painting these kits. I kinda like how you show the kit after you fill in the seam lines and have it all dirty from the sanding. It's a cool way to see the work you have already put into the kit and good to show what someone can expect when they build it themselves. Keep up the good work. Oh, also great job on the kit, I love the kinda orange gold (atleast that's what it looks like to me) you did for the yellow parts, really makes them pop.
Wow!!! Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoy the videos I make and my modeling process. I'm working on lots more... but time is not forgiving haha. Thanks again!!
Stellar paint job! The original HG kit was my first Gundam plamo
Thanks so much!! Those older kits bring back so much nostalgia eh??
usually Im not a fan of a lot of panel line details. And I wasnt a big fan of this suit in general. but you really make it work here. it looks incredible.
Thank you! I definitely feel the same way, but I still had fun!
Great video editing, awesome commentary ,and amazing finished build! I wasn't a big fan of this gundam design but this video made me wanna get it. Thank you so much for this!!!
Thanks Sebastian, so kind of you to say! Honestly my reaction was similar, but working on the kit made me appreciate it much more!
wow! Awesome job
Thanks Jeff!!
Awesome job Liam!! It looks great
Thank you so much!!
I disliked this model until I saw the painted version, solid work on this one Liam.
Thanks!! I had a similar reaction 😅
great work Liam! The eyes are super vibrant did you paint them with fluorescents?
Thanks Yohan!!! 😊 I actually took Hasegawa mirror finish seal and airbrushed clear red over it, then I cut them and pasted them over the eyes :) it's time consuming but I really like the finished look. I did the same thing on my MG GP03S Build too!
@@LiamsHobbyRoom based on what I see in the video the extra effort was definitely worthwhile! I gotta try that sometime
love this paint job. really not a fan of how floppy those shoulders feel in hand though
Thank you!! It was lots of fun to paint. And I totally agree about the shoulders, they barely clip in and pop out at the slightest movement. I very nearly glued them in place!
I like it!
Thanks!! Me too
damnnnn I need 1
I recommend it!!
Do you scribe all your kits as well, or straight paint build?
I don't do a lot of custom scribing (only if panel lines are too shallow or have mould lines through them). But because I do a lot of modifications I use scribers for a variety of other tasks. I've seen a lot of finished kits with custom panel lines, but they almost always go overboard and do way too much scribing. So 9/10 times it looks tacky and over detailed to me, especially for the scale.
@@LiamsHobbyRoom that's what I'm literally thinking too, bwahah. Currently working on a mg guncannon, and I'm thinking I'm making too many lines on it (curvy ones at that), and it's a boxy mobile suit.
What song is this
There are a few in the video, which do you mean?
