John I love the way you combine Fishing, cooking and family these moments are priceless. Thanks Jim for the jam, cream tea scones. ❤
I enjoyed the catch and cook John. And I really loved seeing Jim prepare each dish. Everything looks DELICIOUS John.👍😋 Thank you for sharing with me. Take care my Fish Locker Family. ❤💋
Wow, how good does that look 👏
Everything is natural and not forced.
My mouth is watering watching this!
I did have a chuckle at the comment "I have a little basil growing downstairs ", no manscaping for him then! 😂😂😂
Such happiness💥love watching all the beautiful veggies and fruit turn into a wonderful family dinner❤️
WE NEED A COOKBOOK!!! Love watching him cook.
What an amazing chef Jim is, all foraged and caught freshly from beautiful Cornwall...
Fantastic and what an amazing family you have there John...

Beautiful fresh produce that's what it's all about, what a gorgeous allotment! X
I love the crumble too Carol. Thank you for the recipes. You too Jim. ❤ much love to all
You were eating that as if it was your last meal mate!! It must of been delicious cheers John great film again.
Excellent video John, Jim can certainly make your mouth water at the business end of the video & I have to confess that I love crumble dishes & this one certainly looked to hit the mark. Hats off to you all. Cheers, Don from South Aust.
In a word? Superb. My thanks to Jim for another, wonderfully simple piece of haute cuisine. SO many chefs totally 'overdo' recipes today! Saved to my Recipe folder for another day. My Best Wishes to everyone John.
I've been looking forward to, and now absolutely loving this video. I've been a boatbuilder, fisherman, forager and restaurant chef (and avionics tech)... this is how good food and good times is done. brilliant, You are encouraging me, John What good hearts!
Can't beat british blackberries this time of year! Thanks for the upload, always a pleasure watching!
We sat here watching this fabulous meal take shape, wearing our drool buckets.
I saw a video recently where a chap made his own scaler by nailing a beer bottle cap to a stick. Worked really well.
I like all your videos especially your pots and your cook videos. I really don't like sea food but I like to watch. Lol. You make it informative
Confident nodding and a little drewling! (by me) this is what life is all about, true quality time!
The best way to cook a great fish. In italy we call Orata and we cook at the same way….. chef 👨🍳 bravissimo!!
😳😳😳😳😳 man alive that looked unblevable!!!!!!!!! Fantastic food and that crumble!!!!! I'll be round for the next one mate 😉 🎣🎣🎣
I'm definitely with Carol on this one, more crumble for me! The fruit is a must of course but there has to be more crumble than fruit for my taste haha! Thanks for sharing, John!
@@TheFishLocker agree to disagree, my friend. BUT we can both agree that crumbles are delicious! 🤩
your father in law looks like an experienced cook. looks delicious
Jim is such a imaginative chef I’d love to try his cooking really is great and simple hope he’s good…. Great video again love the cooking ones great education on how to live sustainably and creating a great insight into what goes into living from your surroundings which is great nice One mate
I really enjoy seeing the catch and cook combo's. Thanks for the wonderful info and I will try preparing some fish this way. It really looked delicious!
Gordon who? Spargos kitchen is where its at! Best British chef, hands down!
Great scran mate , they are a great looking fish as well... . Never caught one though, oh well never mind ha ha...😁🤣
You don't understand how happy I am to see this catch and cook💞💞
I would say so! It looked beautiful aswell. So glad to be seeing spargos kitchen again we were missing him!
😋 got to love a lovely bit of freshly caught Bream with freshly picked greens! Dam it looks soooooooo good!!!
Nothing is better then fresh fish and a home cooked meal 🥘 thanks John! Cheers 🍻
Everything about that video was perfect, the people the food an place. Thanks for sharing. I can picture all that food being prepared and cooked in a stone oven a 1000 years ago.
That crumble looks incredible, I think I need to go forage up some blackberries 😅👍
Another great video thanks John, and thanks to Jim! Every morsel looked delicious - I could have sat down and devoured that whole Gilthead with Jim's ratatouille on my own! Regards to all - stay safe & well! 👍👍
Fantastic video. Inspiring stuff, and Jim lights up any episode. Cheers!
Enjoyed all of you cooking from garden to table. 👀great.
Delicious. Now I understand why you put the effort into catching one of these.
Well you certainly looked like you enjoyed that as I enjoyed watching you catch it take care
Wonderful video. Your friends are just fantastic. Now I’m starving! Greetings from California.
What a cook, he's so classy. What a meal, your so lucky. Lol, another enjoyable video, thanks for sharing mate
Love it when you guys team up, everything looked nectar and now I know what to do with the next guilt head i catch 😁
Its a long way from Melbourne to Cornwall, especially during CoVid lockdown, but I really like the thought of coming back soon and trying to catch a Bream, which is called 'Brim' in Australia, and they are ostly black. Great show Thanks
Very tasty JL, I nearly always say thanks for sharing, on this occasion I really wish you could.
The food looks fantastic, the bream looked delicious and no waste. If this does not inspire people to come off supermarket ready meals (with all the sugar/salt they add) then nothing will. On Blackberries and Apples if you like gammon just boil them up with a little sugar and use as a glaze its delicious. Right onto the allotment on second thoughts save it for later this evening. Thanks for posting.
Looked great m8 your inlaws look fantastic cooks keep up the gd work m8 love from Scotland 🇬🇧🤝💙
Awesome presentation John, wonderful family!!!
looks beautiful.. nicely done as usual!
Just checking in. Nice when somebody else is doing the cook'in huh? LOL Looks like you're doing OK . Thank the Good LORD, Nice to see my friend! GREAT VIDEO!
Outstanding episode John. I bet even the vegetarians watching this would be drooling. Great episode. Thank you again for sharing. Hullo to the chefs involved. Take care mate. Atb.
Beautiful meal as always with Spargos.
as always a great little video.
This evening we ate bream, sargo and leerfish. Bream is way way better than the others. Very tasty and jucy 😁😁😁
I think you will have to do more cooking vidio with Jim ,he's instructions are brilliant, and such a clear voice,
Beautiful meal that John 👌❤️
Beautiful food, it looked delicious
Looks delicious!
My wife and I have an allotment each so in our book the challenge is to get the complete meal caught and grown by us just like you achieve in this film. Ive never caught a Gilt-head Bream so thats a target for next week when I holiday near Bude.
I wish we had the time for our own allotment. Maybe I’ll change some of the garden.
I kept thinking ratatouille is ahead, love it... "new" potatoes too? looks delicious. well done. I am sure the company was top notch... best wishes, tjb
Haha! You've been rumbled John, fraternising with that big old bearded Paul from Essex! I saw ya! 😂😂😂
Haha. Paul really is a star, poor lad got all the way down and the weather just went ballistic. Gale force winds every day he was here. 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
@@TheFishLocker He's a nice down to earth guy! Been subbed to him for a while too.
that looks lovely
Well done, John and Dad in law, I'll try that with my next keeper bass, as I'm not likely to catch a gilthead.
Another goodie thank you....yum 👍
That looked delish and I love my crumbles half and half. As for the cream before or after on a scone it depends on if your in Cornwall or Devon lol but here in Dorset I don't mind as it all goes down same way
Looks delicious 🤠
John that crumble !!!!!!!Save some for me.Atb pal 🏴🏴🏴👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
John as you know pal I’m up in Scotland, was in Morrison’s the other day and in the fishmongers they had big Cornish edible crabs take a guess how much for 1 ?
the food looks awesome , you should do more eating and cooking video's also.
Jim has not been too well lately and we have wanted to wait until he is ready. 😊
Just need foraged mushrooms to go with that lovely meal!
Again many thanks
Looks great! I would prefer apple crumble .The fish looks tasty ,here in Spain we have "Dorada" it looks very similar and sold in most supermarkets. Slow oven baked is wonderful.
Tôi rất thích việc đánh bắt và nấu ăn. Cảm ơn bạn đã chia sẻ 😊😊😊
Enjoy the upcoming fall bite!
So John, who does most of the cooking at your in-laws, Jim or Carol? Both made some fantastic looking food. Wish cellphones could also let us smell the food. Will have to try Jim's suggestion on adding sugar and balsamic to brighten the flavors. I always learn something from both of you with all your videos. Thanks again Jim for letting us visit you.
Okay got the bowls out .standing there like Oliver
Please John I want some Crumble
I really enjoy Jim's videos, we can all cook fish even if we can't all catch them. One personal criticism I don't like the amount of salt he uses, I don't use any in my cooking, I think that it masks the taste especially with fresh vegetables. Many would disagree with me about this I know. Like Jim I don't use much sugar and he's right about scones and cream!
A great video as always.
I was hoping you'd show you or someone chopping the onions with their streaming eyes!!! 😆 As I've got personal experience of home grown onions being off the chart in their strength...! 😆
Always tastes better when you gather and cook your own fruit, veg and meat.
Whatever scant leftovers there are, go back into the compost.
Top vid as per but I am now on the floor laughing like mad. You could have halved the crumble, you could have split it into portions but no you had to take the hole thing pmsl 🤣🤣😂🤣👍👍👍👌
I have just brought 2 t shirts from your site. Looking forward to receiving them. 😁 do you do mugs? Think they would be awesome. Love watching you guys its a great channel. Keep up the good work👌🏻
Pretty fish.
Best catch and cook I've seen. That looked delicious. I wonder if the thumbs down was for jam on first scones 🤔
loved it 😋
For anyone interested, here is the walk around of the Spargo’s kitchen allotment. 😊🌱 ua-cam.com/video/G636qo0BM0o/v-deo.html
Lovely wish I had the ground to plant
So amazing! Love gardens and growing your own veg
