Nice to have such a dedicated group of collectors to put on fun events like this. We had an Oliver dealer about 30 miles from us that sold tractors and repaired them. His dealer buildings were just big old sheds, but he sold a lot of tractors and was a top notch mechanic also. He sold Whites as well, but the parent company wanted him to have a fancy building and a big inventory of equipment as well. He refused, and pulled his dealer franchise Farming in the area was declining because of urban sprawl anyway. We were good friends and when he retired, he gave me his original Oliver dealer sign, still have it today Collectors for the most part are really great people, keeping the heritage alive.
Figured it would be a good substitute for copyright free music. The Oliver guys will know that ad, in an old promotional film they painted an 1850 purple to push the idea their plows were good behind any color tractor.
I'm down in the southeastern corner of MN. I always liked Olivers but never knew too much about them except for the Row Crop 70s I'll see around here from time to time. I happened to find an Oliver Hart-Parr 70 that I got going again and now I'm really fascinated to learn more about all the Olivers. Happy to know about this, will have to try and get up there. Thank you!
Great video. I sure liked the way you got video of the front, side and rear of the tractor and Plow. And no music playin ! I’d much rather the sound of the tractors. And most of the video done on the ground level. Great walkabout too. Thank you. I hope to do some plowing this year.
Looks like it was a good turnout. It is nice to see people come together for events like this. Good to see they at least have some New Holland equipment lol! Thanks for filming for us.
Looks like a pretty good turnout. That's a lot of Olivers and Whites on one farm still in use. Watching them plow made me wish I still had my White 508 3/16 plow.
The 3 bottoms are more valuable than the big ones these days. We are going to keep our Oliver 3 bottom semi mount and maybe turn our 4 bottom back to a 3 (has a bottom added on) have that 4 bottom auto reset Oliver if want one again 😁
There is a Oliver 4340? plow on the farm in central MN. 3x 16" I believe. Dad bought it to use with the '69 IH 544 in the 70's. He kept it after retiring in '97 to plow his sweet corn patch. I used it a few years ago to plow up a couple acres of "lawn". Its not adjusted correctly for behind the '89 Belarus for sure. Brought back fall memories of my HS days with that freshly rolled dirt and diesel exhaust smell!! Always had issues keeping it in the ground and there is some extra weight added to it for that reason. Spent many hours running the '80 White 2-105 with a IH 770 5x16 plow in the early 80s. That 770 was sort of rare around that area as most had gone to semi-mount plows and that one is a trailer style. Dad always thought the trailer plows did a better job.
All we have are semi mounts (besides the old antique junk I drag home) if you are in MN you’re welcome to come out to the plow day. Happens annually time depends on who provides plow ground for the club. And if that plow is still around and they are willing to sell it, I know someone looking for one. Thanks EE
What a great group! Love the Olivers, I have to tease a little for that Major, I pull a 3bottom behind my Major and it does well with it. I'm looking at buying one of my dream tractors soon, been saving up. I really what a Super 88 Diesel with a wide front. Something to pull my 10ft disc and has enough snort it can handle the drag behind the disc too.
If you’re up for the drive your welcome to come to the next one. Usually have them somewhere in Wright county. Lot of people love those Super 88s! Hope you find a nice one. Thanks Bill.
Audio is from an Oliver promotional video called The color blind plow. Thought it would be more fun than copyright free music. Very good group of knowledgeable guys and gals. Cool that you got the sign!
Thanks Mr. O
Thanks for sharing a great video. Looked like good times👍
Thanks Mark
Nice farm great video Dave 👍
Thanks Keith
Always cool to see an almost all Oliver/white farm really neat stuff he farms with
Think they have 1 big 4x4 case otherwise the rest is Agco / White / Oliver
@@crazydave4455 as in a Steiger or a J.I. Case?

Wow this would be a fun one to go to. Just beautiful tractors.
If you’re in MN or close enough to travel, you are welcome to come by. Come see us at the Wright County Fair in July.

@@OzziesOddities Beautiful part of the state! Oliver’s are pretty easy to work on and there a lot of parts available.
Looks like a great day to do some plowing. I like the 'voice over" section, good idea!
Do you recognize that drone footage sound track 😁
@@crazydave4455 , I did. I really need to hook that tractor up to a plow.
