A fully upgraded finger shield with holy infusion from ash gives you a whopping 93 resistance for holy so you can tank all of his nuke attacks at practically no stamina cost

Pretty much. If u do summons, make sure to at least run a bit farther away from the fog so he doesn't start with the spinning attack

@@johnalberto9600 Hard enough. It's still playable, but it doesn't have that wow effect anymore, it's just a weapon that bleeds. On the Radan it is better to return to the Mogh's spear or smth. Thats sad -

@@johnalberto9600 honestly, it wasn't nerfed that much. Poise damage took a blow, but bleed buildup is pretty close to what it was before

Used bleed and summons in base game and felt like shit so made up for it in the dlc. Decided to go dual greatsword with no status effects, no ash of war, no summons including mimic. Still stuck on this boss fight. First phase is easy once you learn it but second phase is just
It's funny because I tried everything flashy and still failed before I revert back to my good ol double bonk and finally could bring him down.. but still with my mimic tho 😅
I actually tested if mimic was good but phase one insta killed every single time, so I just had to beat the entire phase with an int build. I did. It just took me an hour

But messmer and the hippo's grab attacks are even more bs
Messmer one shot me with lvl 8 scdtree thingy dragoncrest greatshield and flamedrake +3 and 60 vigor. And the hippo has a continuous hitbox.
I figured out the fact that you need to dodge to the side after my 2nd day
Use the tear that heals you when you take damage to survive mesmers it's also very telegraphed and gives a nice counter attack if dodged
The hippos grab that teleports you in made me rage out nearly xD glad they fixed the shitty hitbox
Im on ng +8 and this fight is not possible to win for me.
I’m at the same NG+ and I beat him.tried every combo until I went big armor big shield big fuckin sword nice mix of talisman and lords divine spell give it a shot you’ll be alright.

This weapon is crazy, me and my friend were testing it and discovered that you can VERY easily get an instant bleed proc
Rip this weapon.
So thats why so many people were using that

Sadly this doesn’t work nearly as well anymore, but the weapon is still awesome
Tried this against him, got him down to maybe 2 hits with 10 flask left and said "This feels anticlimactic af finishing the DLC like this" and chose to purposely die..eventually got him after 37 tries with the Death Knight longshaft

I did this as well, but not once could i stagger him with all the multiple attempts i had on him. I even had that wonderous physique buff where i have a better chance in staggers.

@@Monke15329 i bought it played it until the first boss, got stuck skipped it, but I want to kill it so I'm still there and every day I think of a build to kill that cancer of a boss
The first boss is one of the easiest so I’m guessing your going to want to find a lot of scadutree fragments
