The one thing I notice about all these stories and find annoying the navy CO of the ship (whatever it is) is also the person that leads the armored marines into battle. A ship's CO would never do that, a trained marine officer would lead the marines. When the CO abandons his ship who takes over, the head mess cook? I know these are fiction stories and I really like them but geee.
The "Mary Sue" is strong in this one, Padawan. I hope these eager artists can find a competent editor to help out with that little issue.

One day, When we are changed when the King comes. Humans will one day be led by a King Worthy to follow. One day we will live among the stars and help others. Help the Universe in Jesus name.
humans are like this we are also the polar opposite at the same time. we are so compassionate that our acts of random kindness makes god weep with pride and joy for his creation, but also so cruel and vicious that our acts of cruelty and malice makes the worst demons and devils feel pity and fear for those affected. it is our power, our curse, our lesson as a species and we will learn to do better to know when to be cruel or kind. we have no other choice.

While obviously being familiar with Trek, I actually thought of the Federation from the Star Ocean JRPG series first.

I couldnt help but shed some tears that humans were the heroes against the odds. That is how it should be.
We often don't measure up to the term 'humanitarian aid'. It'd be nice to think we one day made that our central tenet.
I like how some stories have humans being galactic apex predators and other stories have humans being the most empathetic species.
I think the point of this is to stand up to people who don’t care to save others in need! Help and support those who need help to improve our community and nation. ❤

A lot of modern inventions were dreamed up first in Sci-fi. How about hand held computers that could communicate wirelessly with others? Mobile phone! I've even heard that the modern plane cockpit dashboard design was inspired by Star Trek, although I find that a bit far fetched. But the fact is that Sci-fi imitates and augments real life science (at least the better ones) and sometimes even give ideas and inspiration to real life scientists.
Ngl when I the earth Captain told them help was on the way I got goosebumps.

I was thinking the same thing. Right now, it looks like some humans have lost their minds, with all these killings that's going on. Shooting and slaughtering even baby's. At any time one can get hit and killed by a stray bullet. Even at Wall-Mart or any other grocery store.
I like Sci-Fi stories a lot. Sure wished all humans were like Reynolds.

Actually we do. Field medics, at least American and British, have been known to treat both friend and foe from the battlefield. If they are no longer a threat, there is no reason not to treat their wounds. Doctors in urban ER centers treat the wounded evil as well as the innocent. The central core of many of these Sci-fy stories show humanity as both violent warriors and compassionate allies. A complex species.
We usually do, the problems arise because we don't hold our politicians to our own values. Governments that urge to be 'pragmatic' and not spend money on helping others - such governments usually also resent spending money on their own citizens, never mind aliens, foreign (or extra terrestrial)

Wonderful and exemplary story.
I have noticed that there are only 2-3 names of the male heroes in these stories - are they the same person, you know, like a Star Trek commanders that are constantly rescuing individuals and civilisations. Except that the hero constantly appears in locations where humans are new, a myth or never heard of, so basically galaxies away from one instance to another. Moreover, we are always physically superior and although our technology is thousands of years younger, it is it is still always superior, never mind our morality that has evolved overnight. (Consider that we evolved millions of years ago but still have a monkey brain that mere norms of society controls very poorly.)
Regardless, or perhaps because of this, I AM LISTENING to them when correcting kids maths exercises and in bed with lights off. 😊

We are that compassionate we all need to follow this example. We are civilized and need to stay civilized or our civilization will crumble into chaos.
There are good in humans, I genuinely believe that. Nobody is born evil. Evil and ignorance is taught. And these things can be combated by kindness and knowledge.
