Michael Jordan had a field goal percentage of 44.5%. he also had a free throw percentage of 82.1%. combining his free throw and field goal percentage will equal his true shooting percentage. 82% from the free throw line should bounce his true shooting up a little more than 5% over his field goal percentage

Kobe is "inefficient" compared to literally the most efficient shot creators and volume scorers of all time like Lebron, MJ, KD and Steph Curry, however I think that comparison is totally fair. • @B345T1N355Official

      Here’s the thing. Most of LeBron’s shots were inside the paint, especially during his first stint with the Cavs and the stint with the Heat. MJ also wasn’t necessarily a good 3 point shooter. Curry and KD are mainly efficient because they’re able to defer to each other or other teammates who don’t mind shooting. With Kobe, every teams strategy was to double team Kobe, which is why the Celtics won in 08 and partly why the Pistons won in 04.

    "Kobe has the most missed shots, inefficient"

    Stuff is goofy

    • @Anthonydu01630
      @Anthonydu01630 Рік тому +4

      Yeah but Lebron has BY FAR the most points generated (points + assists) in NBA history whereas Kobe doesn’t have the most points in NBA history.
      So Lebron having the most turnovers is just normal when he played 20 seasons with a very high Offensive Load and was the best scorer AND playmaker of his team every years except 2020 when AD averaged just 1 more points than him, when you have the ball as much and create as much for 20 seasons its just normal to have the most turnovers but Kobe is the 4th Top scorer of all time in the regular season and has more missed shots than Kareem, Bron and Karl Malone wich mean he isn’t efficient compared to them.
      If someone play 20 seasons and have a similar offensive load with 27ppg and 7 assists like Bron then we will be able to compare but right now nobody is really close the closest is Kobe who played 20 seasons, 1346 games and averaged 25ppg and 5 assists and he has 4010 Total turnovers vs Lebron 4878, but Lebron also played 1394 games.
      So despite Kobe playing less games and having a lower offensive load he still has almost as much turnover. On the other hand Lebron scored more pts than Kobe, 37860, and only missed 13588 shots while Kobe scored 33643pts and missed 14 481 shots. So Lebron scored 4217 more points than Kobe and missed 893 shots less than him, so Lebron played more games, scored way more points and missed way less shots while Kobe played less games, scored less and made less assists but still has almost as much turnovers as Lebron.

    • @dankenkit

    22:15 actually, Steph is THE most efficient volume scorer ever, and by a big margin, there are 6 players above him in Ts%, they are all paint dominant bigs and Artis Gilmore has the highest ppg at 17.1, then there's Montrezl Harrell, Cedric Maxwell and Rudy Gobert at 12.9, 12.5 and 12.4 respectively, and to round out the six there's DeAndre Jordan at 9.1 and Tyson Chandler at 8.2. So yeah, Steph is pretty much in a league of his own at efficiency, the next guard is Reggie Miller at 16th and Kevin Durant "who was better than him" is at 14th

    • @smoothsavage2870
      @smoothsavage2870 2 роки тому +4

      You could've said that without taking shots at KD, who WAS better than Steph in 2017 and 2018 whether you like it or not. If you compare them in the playoffs, KD was the better scorer and rebounder on a higher FG%. Curry obviously had a better 3pt% and slightly better FT shooting. Steph has never averaged 30+ ppg in the playoffs, while KD has done that 3x. If you compare their finals appearances KD, was the better player between the 2 of them with AND without Steph, contrary to popular belief.

    I honestly think the opinion has less to do with the amount of shots taken and more with the level of difficulty in the shots. Anyone who didn't really watch Kobe sees all the mid range double team highlights or his biggest failures and miss all the easy buckets he got that were "too boring for UA-cam". Just cuz those shots are inefficient for your favorite player doesn't mean it was for him.
