This is why she always wears a knee bandage for this choreography to protect her knee. You never mentioned it so I worry that you might have missed it. But for me it is just yet another iconic Yuju golden moment.

And Gfriend have alot of performances in the streets and at alot of random events and places, even more in the beginning of their career, because they came from a smaller company and that just started, so they promoted their songs performing everywhere in Korea.

Since gfriend used to be a nugu grp. The came from small company, no budget and no seniors that is why source music sent them to random events. They used to perform everywhere, mallshows, schools, sport games etc.
Two special performances of Rough were the ballad version they did in their concert and when they got their first ever win when Yerin was MC. You don’t often see the MC joining in with the encore performance but they were all a mess with even SinB crying for the first time ever on camera. Usually she is laughing at others who are crying, which she still does today whenever Eunha turns into yet another Burst Cream Bread. This win and their encore became a very special moment for Buddies when GFriend achieved the seemingly impossible, winning a trophy as the only group in an unknown and bankrupt company against the multi million promotions of other groups from the Big 3 with huge existing fan bases and hordes of company stans. You really see how much this meant to them after thinking that Me Gustas Tu would be the end of their careers.

(maybe you were not looking at her and you missed it!) and it's not a lie that everyone called Gfriend "The queens of synchronization" :D in early bside videos people tended to confuse their voices a lot so be careful because a lot of videos have a lot of mistakes (like the one you pointed of eunha/yerin)

Ok, first most important thing Happy 9th anniversary to my girls, my almost everything that i miss so much as a group. Even separated GFRIEND was, is and always will be my number one favorite ultimate k-pop group. So i'm proud to be a Buddy, a Na.V, a Woorin and a Luvu and i love them all so so much. Ok, now about Yuju in the Me gusta tu dance practice she is wearing knee pad to just protect her knee when she pass under Umji while doing the split, so no her knee is not wounded it's just a protection against the friction of her knee on the floor. You should watch how smooth they are in mic passing... that's impressing one. There's a compilation out there in terms of mic passing and mic transition... but there's a video too where Umji drops mics as well. Haha

What wonderful about very early GFRIEND songs is that Eunha voice is more full, more powerful and a little lower because it was before they ask her to sing more cutely and higher like she is more known now. Sadly, lot of new fans only know the cute Eunha with her cute and sweet singing voice when we Buddy and earlier fans know that she can sing beautifully lower and that she can belt high powerful note too and that in many many recent groups she would be the main vocalist.

As for the synchronization, it probably has more to do with the amount of effort the girls invested in their practices than natural talent. While every member becomes a good dancer over time, their skill level did vary at the start but they labored long and hard to overcome their shortcomings. Frankly the members' character is even more moving than their talent. It was fascinating to me when I learned that Gfriend members watched their dance practice videos frame by frame to correct their inconsistencies. "Under the Sky" represents Gfriend's message so fittingly. It's energetic, fun yet naturally positive with a hopeful outlook towards the future. This is what I sense when I see Gfriend. Like you stated, their expression is encouraging without being preaching or cringey. Our girls just have the beautiful, untainted vision for days ahead. I love this. And the guitar solo outtro. Yes. I don't know if you know this but back during their Me Gustas Tu promotion, a video went SUPER VIRAL of the girls performing Me Gustas Tu in a very wet, rainy (and bug infested tbh) stage. The girls fell (with Yuju falling like 5 to 8 different times or something crazy like that). The video was EVERYWHERE and the girls got recognition for still performing after so many falls. Its hard to watch to be honest but it showed that they can overcome anything and honestly that's how I first found out about kpop/gfriend in general when I saw that video/that happened. I have loved them ever since

Yeah, the first years of GFRIEND since they were from a small company (when i say small company i means like being the only k-pop group in the company with maybe 1 or 2 actors or models as other artists) and when they were not well known yet they have to perform 1 or 2 songs in small random festivals or conventions sometime in bad to horrible condition in the rain or worse on a dangerous slippery stage like their sad infamous viral 'Me gusta tu' performance video that i don't recommend watching if you like the girls and don't want to cry. About the song 'My Buddy', you will be surprised to learn that it was before the fandom got his name, in fact the fandom got his name from that song name, so no at first it was not a fan song but since the named us after that song name it became a fan song later though.
Sadly for Sowon and Umji’s stans they were often marginalised for much of their time in GFriend. Their company saw them as the least talented members, so they rarely got more than a few lines on their comebacks and even on most B sides. This also meant that they sometimes were hidden at the back of the members but mostly were away from the centre, spending much of their life as book ends. Sowon even complained about this once on a TV show saying why am I always at the side. When line distribution was being decided the company chose to hide their vocals by having them both sing back to back on many songs somewhere in the middle, away from the key points of the song almost as if trying to get their token lines out of the way. This led to both girls getting serious inferiority complexes about their own talents. That is why Sowon no longer sings or dances. Umji had a really bad time when haters called her ugly on top of this making her feel worthless and useless. Only the love of her members and Buddy kept her going. But later in her career as she grew up, she drew compliments for her beauty and her confidence slowly improved. Once she left GFriend and joined VIVIZ the shackles were released and everyone treated her as an equal to SinB at dancing and Eunha at singing. She is now truly blooming and a star of Kpop and yet still under appreciated by many.

Sinb flow in rapping is good. More like Sowon, Umji, Sinb/Yerin, Yuju and Eunha in rapping department if they did one. Umji has a baby voice during early days but she really did improved a lot of course she have vocal training. All of them. But for a small company, its mostly thy focus on Yuju and Eunha in that part you can see how well train they are especially Yuju

Normally if you go in the comments you can see people complaining that the lyrics are wrong, so this is normally a signal that you cant trust this chanel so much. Yeah, the first years of GFRIEND since they were from a small company (when i say small company i means like being the only k-pop group in the company with maybe 1 or 2 actors or models as other artists) and when they were not well known yet they have to perform 1 or 2 songs in small random festivals or conventions sometime in bad to horrible condition in the rain or worse on a dangerous slippery stage like their sad infamous viral 'Me gusta tu' performance video that i don't recommend watching if you like the girls and don't want to cry.
About the song 'My Buddy', you will be surprised to learn that it was before the fandom got his name, in fact the fandom got his name from that song name, so no at first it was not a fan song but since the named us after that song name it became a fan song later though.

Sadly for Sowon and Umji’s stans they were often marginalised for much of their time in GFriend. Their company saw them as the least talented members, so they rarely got more than a few lines on their comebacks and even on most B sides. This also meant that they sometimes were hidden at the back of the members but mostly were away from the centre, spending much of their life as book ends. Sowon even complained about this once on a TV show saying why am I always at the side.
When line distribution was being decided the company chose to hide their vocals by having them both sing back to back on many songs somewhere in the middle, away from the key points of the song almost as if trying to get their token lines out of the way. This led to both girls getting serious inferiority complexes about their own talents. That is why Sowon no longer sings or dances.
Umji had a really bad time when haters called her ugly on top of this making her feel worthless and useless. Only the love of her members and Buddy kept her going. But later in her career as she grew up, she drew compliments for her beauty and her confidence slowly improved. Once she left GFriend and joined VIVIZ the shackles were released and everyone treated her as an equal to SinB at dancing and Eunha at singing. She is now truly blooming and a star of Kpop and yet still under appreciated by many.

Sinb flow in rapping is good. More like Sowon, Umji, Sinb/Yerin, Yuju and Eunha in rapping department if they did one. Umji has a baby voice during early days but she really did improved a lot of course she have vocal training. All of them. But for a small company, its mostly thy focus on Yuju and Eunha in that part you can see how well train they are especially Yuju

Normally if you go in the comments you can see people complaining that the lyrics are wrong, so this is normally a signal that you cant trust this chanel so much. But if you want, Im sure alot of buddies know some chanels with the correct lyrics to recomend to you for further reactions
