Questions. Whats the weight of this rx1 & rotex c setup? It seems undoable for a conventional tractor design unless you wanted the head above the cowl ?
Teal, I wish I had 1/2 of your abilities & knowledge. Thank you for sharing with us. Question...I see the 3 cylinder in the FX Nytro sleds have a slightly lower rpm range which might be beneficial, but can't find too much information on this engine. Looking up part numbers, the inner crankcase cover has very similar, but not exactly the same number as the RX1 engine. Would your adapter also work on the 3 cylinder FX Nytro engine? Thx.
Hi Teal, I've seen some internet rumors that you're now making a 3-gear reduction, to make the prop turn the right way. But 'the google' is failing me trying to find any info on it. I've even tried that Devil's spawn, facebook, but still no luck. If the rumor's true, do you have a website with specs, pricing, etc? Thanks, Charlie
Do you know if you could do acrobatics with this engine? From what I understand automotive engines fall apart upside down and with too many negative Gs. Thanks!
I'm very new to this subject, but I wouldn't use this type engine for aerobatics. I think for general aviation use I would convert the automotive engine to a dry oil sump to avoid oil starvation at the different attitudes and g-loads an aircraft experiences. That's just my very novice take on it.
I been trying to send you a private message and I just can't find how. I was told that you are working on a new adapter with re-drive for the Yamaha engines could you give us some details the engine types? and what ratio you will have available.
hello, can you make a backing plate for any 4 stroke snowmobile engine? 140 is way more hp than i need and i have another smaller engine in mind. email?
I saw a post of you that you made 1 hour ago and there is a case cover with reduction gears for the Yamaha Apex engine could you pm me details about this. I have no way of contacting you I can't call you I'm in Canada
How about a Billet Single Case with Rotax Provision 8 Data based off a Skidoo/Rotax Single for the Ultralight crowd. Ideally, a Skidoo/Rotax 340 TNT Single Type Case with a Skidoo 550F(76mm) Reed Fed Cylinder. With a 277UL 66mm Crank (76mm x 66mm) 299.5cc, with a 68mm Stroke, (76mm x 68mm) 308.6cc, with a 70mm Crank, (76mm x 70mm) 317.6cc. 550F Cylinders have been Big Bored to 81mm, (81mm x 70mm) 360.8cc. 299cc if 90% efficient at 6500rpms = 41hp 308cc if 90% efficient at 6500rpms = 42hp 317cc if 90% efficient at 6500rpms = 44hp 360cc if 90% efficient at 6500rpms = 50hp

Batt Mann did you want him to read you the step by step instructions? It did exactly what I was looking for, to see how it worked, and weigh out if it was something I wanted to look into. Don’t be so self righteous in thinking the Men that are looking into this conversion are to simple to problem solve, after all they’re building a freaking airplane...obviously.
Great video. What do you think a realistic conversion would cost after purchasing all the main components? A new 100hp rotax is around 20,000

Hi. Can i use this adapter on the Yamaha sidewinder engine ? 3syl turbo from sleds.
What’s the Rotax box rated for HP wise? Nice work. Love the innovation.

G loads on ICE is not new, but an oil starvation and fuel flow and not using force induction will destroy your dream to fly
I just read that Rotax is discontinuing the c box and going to the e box. Will this fit the e box?
What determines how much you need to machine off the C gear box. Thanks, Jim
The gearbox is it an a b or a c? That your are installing it would have been nice to known at the first of the video
C Gearbox, he says it twice @0:56

Will this adapter work with the Yamaha Phazer 500 cc 4 stroke motor? They appear to use very similar internal gear reduction drives.
+Jason Galbraith , No they have different output covers.

what about the Apex? Very nice looking conversion! Me want
One thing to Note: The steel band will need to be removed from the rubber disc once it is mounted to the Flywheel.
Hello!
Could you respond, to continue the conversation?

It seems you oversimplify this installation by a whole lot.
I think his video is very detailed and fully information for the purpose of installing a great adapter.
