Following advice from "roadcraft" and police trained examiners, FIRST exit indicate left on approach, LAST exit indicate right on approach, all other exits (intermediate) no signal on approach. Signal left passing penultimate exit.
The Highway Code also says: “When taking an exit to the right or going full circle, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise: 1) signal right and approach in the right-hand lane 2) keep to the right on the roundabout until you need to change lanes to exit the roundabout 3) signal left after you have passed the exit before the one you want.
Hi guys, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Ann and her team for making these amazing, informative, helpful videos. I am pleased to say I passed first time on Monday with 2 minors. The examiner was very pleased and said it was a lovely drive. I will recommend you guys to all my family and friends learning to drive! Thanks again😁
Thank you so much for making this useful video🙏🏼. Round about are pretty confusing for me but you guys make it way clear to understand. Even my driving instructor doesn't teach me in this detail.
Great video as always, and I even got all the questions correct! However, what do you do when signalling at some of these roundabouts? For example, in the final question of your quiz, if I was approaching a similar roundabout I would do so with my right indicator on, then signal left once I had passed the 1st exit (Brandon, B1106). In my mind the second exit is past 12 o'clock and so would need a right indicator to make things clearer. However, I can also appreciate why this might be confusing...
I appreciate the videos but please put some indicators to the various points that u are talking about so we can know the different exit , for example if u are talking about the second exit please put a mark indicating that this the second exit I'm talking about
Heya just wanted to say a big thankyou for all of your clips they have really helped me pass my second attempt test today with three minors so happy 😊👍
The roundabout at 3:39 I always go on as I head to work that way straight ahead but I have found recently cars ‘undertake’ me and others on that roundabout by using the second lane if I stop to let the car on the right go or if I’m unsure where a car is going, I guess they are inpatient and it makes me anxious I worry that an accident is gonna happen one day
I was taught the clock method, you enter the roundabout at 6 0' clock, and if your exit is after 12 0' clock you indicate right until you pass the one before and then you switch to left signal.
Yes, that’s the method we use when we see the sign - as explained in this video: How to read roundabout signs: ua-cam.com/video/u6z536F2Kug/v-deo.html 👍🏼
Where I live there are roundabouts without road markings and the left hand land should be uses for a second exist straight ahead (almost 12 o’clock) yet day after day people use the right hand land and cut across the traffic in the left hand lane, I’m sure they have and are in the wrong lane they are in the right hand lane which should be for right hand turns for exist 3. It is ridiculous not to have clear road markings, like the Audi in the video I would have said he was in the wrong lane because he cut across the left hand lane driver?

A quick tip for other learners, if it’s before 12 o’clock, left lane. If it’s after 12 right lane. Unless road markings instruct you otherwise
I really appreciate the very good sound quality and clear English ... Thank you very much,

Yes we see that a lot at that particular roundabout. Watch out and give them space if needed!
Excellent video as always!
Great video :) I really struggle with roundabouts, the ones in my area don't have any road markings so I get really anxious

First attempt : 02 minors Pass. Thank you
Well done! 🚗👍🏼😃
Great video. Very informative. Well done 👏
Great video as previous ones
Really helpful. Wondered how you got the overhead shots?
Our DJI Mini 2 drone. Since it is a Class 0 drone, there are very few restrictions on where you can fly it. 👍🏼
Sorry 6:10 where drivers are is that 3rd exit ? Just , a bit confused on that where houses are in-between trees is that an 2nd or not
If you can drive your car into there, it counts as an exit!
If no sign, and if the exit road is 12 o'clock but bends immediately sharply to the right, is that straight ahead or right?
Yes, we would probably consider that as straight ahead.
Thanks
Thanks very much!

aha
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

2nd exit is 2nd exit...
It's basic driving.
But we must understand which direction the 2nd exit is - as it could be left, straight or right!
