Truly a magical night. I remember my heart beating out of my chest at home watching the 9th inning. I was offered tickets for that game by a classmate in math class my freshman year of high school, I said no. What a fool.
As bad as the 2012 season was, there were special moments in that season that were memorable. To name a few, R.A. Dickey's 20 win season, back to back 1 hitters by Dickey, a Cy Young award and Santana's no hitter. LETS GO METS!!!
In 2012, Johan pitched the 1st no-no in Mets history against the ST. Louis Cardinals. Ten years later, 5 other met pitchers combined to no-hit the Phillies.
The combine no hitter happened on what would’ve been my dad’s 52nd birthday. He passed away in November 2016. He would be SO proud of the Mets with that 2nd no-hitter.
always thought he strained his arm doing this. He was always a seven inning pitcher, that was how he was trained. Had very few CG in his career, which soon ended

Kirk Nieuwenhuis fathers day was 2013
@@YamatoCharm You're right against the Cubs. 6/16/13. I got my years mixed up. I should of known better I was at that game.
I had the privilege of watching the last few innings of this game with my entire family. I’ll never forget that.
The dude in the Carter jersey always gets me 🤣🤣🤣
It’s funny how the commentators are ignoring that fact that he being arrested
Thank you for sharing this awesome piece of Mets history! LGM
They really had Duda playing the outfield to defend the no-hitter lmao
Those were Fred and Jeff Coupon's Mets. Times were hard...
Also, their left fielder got hurt in the 7th
@@zeldacomm realize that, but still funny
Lmao that’s what I said
Duda came up as an outfielder lol

@@ZemeckisTEN, sorry for your loss.
@@eddypearson6131 Thank you.
@@ZemeckisTEN, you're welcome.
Santana was one of the greats on and off the field. I am glad he was able to do it. Also, great to see the great Kevin Burkhardt.
Santana was a great pitcher from Venezuela who was awesome in his prime.
Still feel like crap not watching the game
Maybe I did something right for the entire team and fans
Gracias a Santana ahora soy Fan de los Mets soy venezolano 🇻🇪 y amo a los Mets 🧡💙
LFGM BABYYY
If baseball had replay back then there would have been no Mets no hitters still.
Wrong. Google is right there.
LEGENDARY 🫡

I WAS THERE!!!
That’s so cool! I was at the most recent one in 2022!❤❤❤
@@5ShadesGaming Oh, I love that Green Day song! 🤪
Johan Santana's career would unfortunately enter a downward spiral after this
6:39
LGM!!!🎉
Unfortunately, he was never the same after this game.
Mike Baxter died a hero in this game
Why does everyone forget Beltran hit a double that was called foul? This was a one hitter
Because the rules as written are the rules.
Baxter was a One
Duda playing the outfield would never happen with Carlos Mendoza
he also would never have let Johan Santana throw this many pitches. He would have taken him out
Who said that was a no hitter" excuse me" im a Mets fan but for me that was not a no hitter.
we don't speak of THAT foul ball...
Thay game may have destroyed what was left in his career. Never had the great success after this game
Awesome pitching. But all i can say is Carlos Beltran
The only way he got that no-no is because he got a ridiculous call from the ump. He also blew his arm out and essentially ended his career that day.
Just shut up.
both may be true but why you gotta be negative. btw it's 2024 and that call is still not a reviewable play
As a long time Mets fan one of favorite game
@ravnzcroftbackup I'm a Mets fan my whole life and I'm still waiting for the Mets first no hitter. That one don't count.
@@tomsreviews238 What about the combine no-hitter in 2022, then?
1 hitter, let's be real and yeah I'm that guy lolz
Doesn't matter just like galaraga isn't a perfect game
