@Nathan Blair it was the least functional thing they could push through without actively obstructing the process of getting Americans access to healthcare. Obama's original draft lacked many of the flaws of the current ACA but Republicans obviously didn't want him to have any kind of victory so they came up with what we have now as a compromise. They intentionally gave Americans worse healthcare for the sake of optics. Pretty standard stuff really.
People losing their jobs are losing their health insurance so he is making more pre election empty promises.

So, my mom has now been widowed twice and she lives just about 10 blocks due East of me and "doesn't remember my address".
I too worry about the reality of the suicide rate on November 4th. No hyperbole, I just know what I see. All 3 of my adult kids are in therapy for major depression.

We have a family therapist that literally is too traumatized by Trump.... to hear his voice…Not sure how much worse it can get than that! Not even just his voice… You literat can’t even look at him. Obama from the beginning let us know that the affordable care act was not the best but it was something to protect everyone with health insurance. Many times on tv he asked for the Republican’s feedback to improve the ACA but their only response was it can’t be done. Obama proved them wrong he did it and to this day he welcomes the republicans to improve the ACA but the only thing they are trying to do is to get rid of it.

Trump says the executive order is "a double safety net". But that's not how it works, that's not how any of this works! Listen, EO's are only applicable under existing law. What this means is that if the ACA were ever amended to remove the patient protections that the EO mandates, then the EO itself would be null and void. There's no "double safety net". The order was written purely for appearances and for political points, there's no legal function to it whatsoever. He's really going hard for the idiot vote.
