      На севере есть страна под названием Яка, с ней можно улучшить отношения и закинуть ей союз. Далее у нее можно будет купить карты всей северной Америки.
      (In the North, there is a country called Yaka, with which you can improve relations and throw it an Alliance. Then you can buy maps of all of North America from her.) Nice gameplay)

      As native mexico 'veteran' (don't think that makes me a good player though) i can give you a tip: Aztec + Maya religion.
      Aztec starting traditions: +10% inf combat and idea cost reduced by 10%
      Fully reformed maya religion: +1 tolerance of true faith, +1 advisor, -10% army maintenance, -2 unrest, +10% inf combat (again!), -20% coring cost (first reform you should get) and an extra colonist
      I didn't try Zlewikk's exploit yet, but normally you just force the Huastec to convert you, just like he did with the animist nation. Reforming Maya is a little bit more ressource consuming than nahuatl, but no problem if you already are a 'modern' nation like in the vid.

    As of 1.31, this strategy is dead. For some reason the war score cost to force the animist nations to convert your religion is over 400%. RIP, had some good times with this one.

    • @dfg7418
      @dfg7418 Рік тому +2

      It is still possible, but you have to take one animist province, then send a missionary to convert that province BUT put missionary maintenance to 0 and do not core the province so there will be animist rebels.
      It is important to not core or the rebels will be separatist instead of animist.
      Once they are rebels in the province, accept their demands to convert yourself to an animist country.
      You can accept that even before they revolt.
      I tryed this just yesterday and it works. So... it's even better than before because now you don't have to surrender yourself LOL

    I've been trying so many things and thinking about releasing vassals, releasing animist vassals, developing institutions left and right. Can you imagine my headache when I thought I had THE IDEA to force me to be animist, develop the institutions and switch back to Nahuatl only to find out that I had to do the reforms all over again? hahahaha I was so done...
    Now this is the way to go. Fantastic work, Zlewikk, thank you! I will try again, hopefully with less headaches. God knows there's a lot with the DOOM mechanic that was implemented haha!

    My favorite religion, by far. It's so fun to rage war to keep the doom down. My heart beats so fast. And the bonuses after reforming are insane. Annexing at the beginning is a double-edged sword, so every move, every war, every invasion must be well thought.

    This was a pretty cool guide. Thanks for sharing!
    Out of curiosity, I attempted to see if this strategy could be modified to work if you wanted a Mayan Nation. Short Answer: Yes, but it went a lot slower. I didn't reform until 1505 or thereabout.
    Main problem: Unlike Nahuatl (and Inti), Mayan doesn't have a backdoor into converting to Mayan, and Animist countries cannot force-convert using rebels. That means the only way to return to Mayan is to "lose" a second war and be force converted. And the problem with this is you need to have a value of less than 100% war score, meaning your power base is very constrained. On my second attempt (before learning I couldn't rebel-convert), I didn't conquer a single province until I had returned to Mayan, given that I had to force develop two provinces to get two institutions.
    Other roadblocks were the spread of nations around you. Huasatec has easy access to the animist for the first step, but no Mayan targets without going No-CB. The other Mayan countries have the reverse problem, as there is only one Animist country nearby that starts off just out of range. So I went with one of the nations on the Yucatan proper, and I was fortunate that Miskito migrated into range to fabricate a claim.
    Next problem was monarch points: None of the countries in range of Miskito start with very good leaders, and there is no gold in the Yucatan, so my ability to generate power points was limited, especially when I lose all my possible rivals turning animist. So that, combined with tropical development penalties meant I hadn't embraced both institutions until around 1460. And then much like yourself, I fought a war with a Mayan, and someone else declared on him before I could occupy every province, so I was stuck sitting and waiting.
    I think the next delay was much more a mistake on my part. I was hoovering up provinces in the local area, knowing I was gonna lose ten of them, but that meant when I did enact a reform I was trucelocked and out of range of the Nahuatl countries to fabricate a claim. I should have snaked my way through the Aztecs and stockpiled claims I could make use of.
    Finally, I was once again lucky that I was still bordering Miskito, after it took a trip down to Panama and back, but when I caught-and-released it, I had to knowledge share feudalism with it, which was another couple of years waiting around. My more localised conquest also meant I wasn't making bank until I finally plunged into Central Mexico in the 1520s, once again trucelocked.
    Conclusion: In my Aztec game using your strategy, I had a complete grasp of Mexico, Carribean and Panama trade nodes, and spawned Global Trade there. In Maya, I only had Mexico and bits of Panama just conquered Carribean from the Europeans, and the admin points spent coring and re-coring really slowed down my admin tech progression, meaning I had a lot less manufacturies, so Global Trade popped in London as usual. So there are some benefits to using this strategy as a Mayan nation, but there will probably be more waiting around. It was still interesting to try
    Bonus Round: What about the Inti? Could they do this? Well probably, but it's much more luck based. Like the Nahuatl they do have a province-based event to convert back to Inti, but the only nearby animist nations are migratory tribes that I'm not sure you can even see at the game, so step one becomes a lot harder. Another problem is that the Inti reforms are based on a monthly tick, so unlike Aztecs or Mayan where (in theory) you could gather the reform requirements while you're animist and be ready to pass the first reform once you flip back, you will start at 0 and it will be slow to tick up, as it's based on total development and local autonomy. You could (and will have to) do some conquering in the meantime, but it still means you're getting no reform progress for 15-20 years.

It's 1489 and I've only got 3/5 reforms pused thru and doom is climbing too fast. • @IronWarsmith
      @IronWarsmith 4 роки тому +2

      @@brianfox771 just a heads up, you lose one doom point for every enemy unit you stackwipe ie 3k troops is 3 doom points. The development from the institutions should give you a force limit of 12-15 when you switch back to Nahuatl and you should be up a mil tech. From there you can actually fight over twice your number of troops, just pick an alliance thats seperated from each other with you in the middle, then pick one side and keep fighting to stackwipe, leaving individual regiments on each province to keep them from reinforcing and you getting stretched too thin. Once you've beaten their armies you can farm stackwipes by leaving one untouched province for each opponent and leaving 3 or 4k of your own troops next to them and killing their new units as they spawn.
      Furthermore, if you need to slow it down to practice, native countries will white peace if you occupy their non fort provinces and siege their capitals, so you can go for an early knockout on one or two if needed to even out the war, you do not actually need to take any of their forts.

      Oh there is, I tested it lately and have a few more people that can confirm. There might be a few reasons why you didnt get that:
      1. There is mean time to happen of 1 year - so it might even take a few years
      2. The province lost 'Cholula Temples' modifier, which might only happen if you get the event and refuse to convert

      There's a bit of luck involved too, if Tlaxcala allies weaker or stronger neighbors, and whether or not someone nearby offers you condottieri in the first few wars. Generally if you only use your normal troop limit of 10 and don't use mercs(aka wait for normal recruits to build up),tlax will get more allies and you won't have nearly enough to stackwipe Tlaxcala and siege their stuff while also keeping up with their allies. Going into debt heavily isn't a problem, you can easily deal with 20-ish loans because after you convert to animist, you will be able to take a small breather and pay them all off with the gold income you will get. Inflation will go around 30% in the meanwhile but eh, not much you can do about it. Important is to not take the temple province too early, or while still nahuatl(I did this once), because if you do, after you convert to animist, you won't have enough time to pay off your debts, event fires really soon sometimes.

      There are a few things that might have caused that. Most importantly, you should not control this province before switching to animist. You should take it after switching to animist. The event (one about temple in Cholula) gives you choice to destroy temple or dwitch back to nahuatl. Maybe you missclicked the event?
