Forrest Stevens wow thats quite a list. Good of you to post. I was hoping to read the name of wood stove as well but guess this is list of stuff on Amazon only list. I will have to watch again a write it down, though not sure what state she purchased? Im in Cal.
Get some good fitting magnetic signs that say "Church Bus" and you've got a lot of good parking options, cross-country! Just clear out on Sunday morning, or expect to be put to work!
GREAT JOB, MANY OF THESE VIDEOS ARE SO FULL OF CLUTTER /AND TRASHY ... WAS IMPRESSED, HOW SHE KEEPS ALL IN ORDER, SHE MUST REALLY BE NEAT AND THIS ALSO GIVES HER MORE FEELING OF MORE SPACE ...SMART
Skoolies are without a doubt the BEST. NO BOUNDARIES whatsoever. Adaptability is the KEY WORD. An inside shower behind the cabinet across from the toilet using an oval shaped mini trough or even a Rubbermaid container is too easy. I can take a shower with a gallon of water. The cool thing about the troughs are the sturdiness and size to take an actual 🛁 soak. Especially in cool weather. With a big kettle on that stove. Just me but I’ve bailed a boat manually, so with-a door that close just tip and pour. I wanna graduate to a skoolie one day. I wanna downsize from my RV, travel more, and get back to camping with all this knowledge available to us these days. Y’all are making it so easy for all of us. THANKS MUCH !!!
This is fourth bus conversion I've seen without a shower or a toilet. I would love to live tiny, but I'd have to have a toilet and some kind of way to shower.
Toilets are infinite. Look out the nearest window and you will see more than one free toilet most likely. So that isn't a problem. As for showering, most small livers who don't travel solve that with a cheap gym membership. Shower at the gym. Alternatively, you can just purchase a solar shower.
when I bought my bus I'm in planning stages,, and I have enough room to put a shower and toilet, not a priority for everyone. But for me in my age I've got to have one.
No...You can get gym memberships at large chains for 10 to 30 a month. Planet fitness is notorious for their 10 dollar a month prices, and they have showers...
I like that this one is real spacious since she doesn't have lots of items that many people store. A great idea for the sink too. I really like her simple, uncluttered living.
linda skinner I'm with you there too! Just looking at her mini bus gave me some idea although I've already have a plan in mind from someone else in UK who purchased a double decker and built his home in that. He's also on UA-cam.
If you think about it, when you are traveling in something like this, you more than likely would stay in campgrounds that have showers, so you would never use the portable toilet, just like she never had. We had a camper for a while, and never did anything inside but sleep. Everything else we did outdoors under the canopy. So you could get away with just having a little 8x5 box trailer that costs 1200 bucks, or a small Transit type van, or even just an air mattress in back of a small SUV. You don't need a big heavy diesel guzzling bus to travel.
i don't know if they are really clean at McD and W. Most van dwellers in the US have a years subscription on a gymstudio that has studio's all over the country. in Europe there is even a european gymstudio. those showers are moslty clean and you can workout to if you would like :)
I like the simplicity of this build. I've been watching a lot of van builds and people seem to fill every square inch of the place. I like the openness of this build. I'd could see myself doing a similar layout with added insulation.
Honey, your bus is awesome!! One suggestion on the toilet, you can make your own compost toilet from a bucket and the cocomoss or kitty litter. It is cheap and very easy. Hubbs Harry and I made one for our camping. we also got a potty chair (for old folks) at an estate sale for 4 dollars - our buckets fits under it very nicely! Maybe look at that option. Oh, and there is NO SMELL at all, you use plastic bags and dump into a compost place (when you use the peat or coco moss) or with kitty litter just dispose like you would dog or baby poop. EASY! Traveling Mercies and God bless you!
This film that you can put on windows that has tiny holes that allow you to see from the inside out but not the outside in... I would choose it white to match with the bus. It would bring you some privacy. Other than that what a great bus' super cool space to meditate.
Just a little hint for your documentation skills: If the people in the video talk about the solar system, show us the solar system. If they talk about the old red color, show it to us :)
Well to be honest the man filming is not the one documenting he is just clearly filming. The people who show him their vehicles are the ones documenting so if they want to talk about a certain item then they don’t have to show it if they don’t want to. He can’t force that upon them. It is their home after all.
Pamela B Exactly!! shes obviously not living in it yet anyway..she didnt show anything in the drawers, no hanging clothes..even if she was ultimate minimalist shed still have a few kitchen things or somethingggg out in the open..hmmm😏
Amy ~ One of the comments I saw from the guy who posted this video (if I remember correctly), said that she sold the bus right after this. So I think she had already moved out when this video was made.
I like it. Clean simple lines. Love the stove and kitchen, great wardrobe and loo idea. But. Storage? And 7.5l engine? UK fuel prices and emission standards => Very Expensive. OK to park I suppose. Thanks for the tour, though I too would have liked more focus on the bus and it's facilities
This was interesting. One thing that makes me a little crazy with many UA-cam interviews is that I end up with so many questions that never get answered. It becomes rather frustrating. So what does she do now for a living? Where does she park it? If she doesn't use the bathroom facilities on the bus, what does she use? Any good article/video should answer the questions "who?, what?, where?, when?, and why?" At least, that what what they taught us "old school". Otherwise, good job.
Um...that was then and this is now. You need to do your own research based on your own curiosity. UA-cam is where many videos are to inspire ideas and hope...rather than answer all your personal questions. That being said, I am certain parking is her biggest problem unless she lives on public lands, far from cities or towns. Google "stealth camping" or "boondocking" for more info. The first thing that will be apparent is that this is no stealth camper. It is the opposite. But that is OK...no big deal.
Those are legit questions from where I sit. Where is her stuff? Other videos I've seen show more things... Her closet is empty, no? Where are her clothes? One on-going question I have is what do people in these situations cook and eat? I think that a video which is telling a person's story can be expected to tell more of it. I understand that telling more may not be what the video purports to do.
There are hundreds of channels and thousands of videos covering all what you ask. No one source can answer it all. You need to do your own research rather than be critical that you were not given all the answers. That is what we were taught in school...especially college.
If I ever pay my house off, I am going to close my house up and buy an RV and travel the US and Canada. Only did limited travel in US mostly the south where I live.
@Gloretha gray: I closed up my house for a year and had a good friend who lived upstairs in my rental apt keep an eye on if for me. It was a great year and I loved it. Coming back after being closed up for a year it took quite a while for the closed up smell to go away. That was a few years ago, now I have a dumpster in front of my house that I'm filling up with stuff from the attic and the cellar and anything else I don't want. Cleaning out, going to sell, buy a van or camper and I'm taking off.
I am so digging the small wood burning stove!!! It gives the tiny bus character. Speaking of character... where are all of her personal items? Clothes, shoes, cookware, etc., etc., etc.? It looks to be rather "cold" .
Great inspiration! Overwhelmed with this life by which we are not created to live as slaves and in bondage in our daily lives. God has created us to NOT be enslaved. Loved the video!
1370vj most people would equate chimney with "woodstove"...tbh,...have never seen a meth lab WITH a chimney...and trust me, there is a wide selection to choose from around here....lol
Your hair color rocks out! Red on a vehicle when painting over white is called a bleedthrough color. Next time use black under it to prevent bleedthrough.
Likely gyms, campgrounds, solar showers, spritz bottles and washcloths, wash basin, baby wipes. If you look at a lot of these, like I have, people are innovative and creative with how they use facilities and keep clean.

I'm soooooo jealous. You're so lucky to have a diesel van Erica! Nice job on it too. I'm starting to search for the fireplace. Would go crazy with a fireplace!
I suspect she parks in the drive of this friend or that, until they tell her to get lost. She looks like she bathes regularly so maybe she parks near a gym?
No clothes, no personal items. Hard to believe she actually lives there. But it isn't a complete home. Needs a shower, fridge, cooking supplies, food, spices. It's not real but very interesting.
Smart design. There is no unnecessary clutter or fire hazards in it. I like to see this with no crap involved in a female space. LOVE IT> :) The stove pipe makes it not so stealth lol...but hey...she is a beauty...the bus and the owner both!

Thank you so much for your help, will be looking at amazon to see what they have. A very fast reply, much appreciated.
You did a great job on this video! You were so respectful and just let her talk and asked about the stove! Love this!

I used to drive this bus for the Dog Ranch! :D
That is too cool. Small world huh Angie?
Where are you on Facebook
Who is the lady with the bus and is she on Facebook
Extremely clever and industrious. Smart girl.
Some awesome ideas, like how she kept floor plan open. Mini bus is the way to go!

How long does It take to make those deed's ??
DREDS.auto correct really pissis me off.
Phew, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed her red hair. She is very articulate and explains everything clearl. Good on you girl.
Wait till u smell the sweat and ass smell on that scalp lol
Dirty haired people are so sexy
Young lady, you are absolutely amazing!! I love everything about your home. It's clean, organized, & well planned. Thank you for sharing.
Stunning and functional
Clean, spacious and bright. One of the best van builds I have seen for sure
Aww the paint job looms great and the 7.3 deisles are great and reliable engines that's totally BAD TO THE BONE big thumbs up
I would love to have something like this ! I'm 64 and want to travel !!!
linda skinner I'm with you there too! Just looking at her mini bus gave me some idea although I've already have a plan in mind from someone else in UK who purchased a double decker and built his home in that. He's also on UA-cam.

linda skinner , I’m 78, female, would love this! It looks safe to me, and I can go to motel if necessary once in a while.
You could use Mcdonalds bathroom, or Walmart whatever. Bathing Luke be more problematic, but def doable.
i don't know if they are really clean at McD and W. Most van dwellers in the US have a years subscription on a gymstudio that has studio's all over the country. in Europe there is even a european gymstudio. those showers are moslty clean and you can workout to if you would like :)

This film that you can put on windows that has tiny holes that allow you to see from the inside out but not the outside in... I would choose it white to match with the bus. It would bring you some privacy. Other than that what a great bus' super cool space to meditate.
Good job Erica ! After a massive stroke at 56 and having to retire , I had to downsize big time myself . I like that little wood stove at the back .
She's hot!!!! Love her personality and attitude. Great bus!!!
Sweet bus! I love those 7.3 IDI motors. Not all that powerful but completely mechanically injected and simple.
Great bus. I love the wood stove.
I am concerned about whether the wood stove is secured properly. It could prove to be deadly in a very small accident, even a panic stop.
I doubt she'd have a fire going in the heater while the bus is in motion.
Because a couple of hundred pounds of cast iron going 60mph inside the bus is only dangerous if it's on fire?
Well that was my concern. Not whether it was burning, but that would be worse, but that something like that has allot of inertia.
The wood stove seems overkill - dangerous to drive that around
Very much luck to this young lady . Inspirational to those who what to do this . Thanx
Just a little hint for your documentation skills: If the people in the video talk about the solar system, show us the solar system. If they talk about the old red color, show it to us :)
You could've worded this better :)
I wish I could get someone to do a video for me to put on their channel.
Well to be honest the man filming is not the one documenting he is just clearly filming. The people who show him their vehicles are the ones documenting so if they want to talk about a certain item then they don’t have to show it if they don’t want to. He can’t force that upon them. @@SNOWQueen87-v1g How? they said it straight up and not rude at all.
@@sarah-cv8cp My comment was two months ago.
Super clean install !!! I would love to see how she installed the window shades. Great job:)
Nice hair, real or extension's. Stay happy doll..
Really sweet simple bus. Works perfectly.
can you tell me how to find the UA-cam video for those magnetic window panels? or share the link? thanks so much
I enjoyed this video . She did a great job converting it in a camper . Love it
Damn I would love a setup like that!
one courageous adventurous lady. thumbs up!
Nice conversion. Where are the personal things that are needed to live? It looks like she is living elsewhere.
Pamela B Exactly!! shes obviously not living in it yet anyway..she didnt show anything in the drawers, no hanging clothes..even if she was ultimate minimalist shed still have a few kitchen things or somethingggg out in the open..hmmm😏

MC Briggs oh ok that makes sense then🙂
I truly believe she lives alongside her parents place...or perhaps that of a good friend. That is the only way this bus could be long term livable.
with the contractor guys!!! lol
Excellant tour appreciate tour and explain build of bus. CONGRATES Erica ... safe journey ,many adventures.
Hell yeah! "No more responsibilities!" Worked too damn hard, for what?! We are meant to live free!
Great video. Thanks for showing us this neat, simple make over.
I like it. Clean simple lines. Love the stove and kitchen, great wardrobe and loo idea.
But. Storage? And 7.5l engine? UK fuel prices and emission standards => Very Expensive. OK to park I suppose.
Thanks for the tour, though I too would have liked more focus on the bus and it's facilities
....but no rent, mortgage, or lease to pay, and often no overnight charge.
She's in USA, diesel prices are a lot less than here in the UK.
Darren Boss I think she's Canadian . Bowen Island and Qualicum are locations in British Columbia.
Awesome idea! You rock!

Wow amazing woman... I’m speechless
decent simple conversion. Stealth? not very :(
R Montena EXACTLY
Simple and cute, very cozy and homey.
If Erica needs a Traveling Companion, I am a great cook.
When you get down to the basics of what you need, you don't need much - finding that out now, and I'm ready to do this!
Love the simplicity and the layout. I really like that she built it out using preexisting items. Well done!! :)
They didn’t “pre-exit” she bought them. She comes across as an airhead princess.
Very articulate and beautiful young lady. great job with your van and good luck. Coach

I've never heard of someone getting a severence package when they "quit" their job.
I jokingly say I was paid to not come back! Worked at Ford and took the buy out in '06.
The charming Erica and her beautiful bus are hardly "stealth."^
she was welcomed by the local men no matter where she parked her van.
What does she do for food storage?

Well that was a nice video of a pretty girl.....now can you do one showing the bus?
angie royall haha, was thinking the same. :)

Great bus conversion, so homely and simple - love it.
Hey, great bus, some concern with that stow. But, it's not a stealth bus
Love her hair and love that bus... been looking for one with a regular passenger door like that... awesome
Put hammocks inside !
What a beautiful home. I am in love with how you have designed and decorated it. Safe travels. Namaste.

Very nice and clean. Love how it all looks and no clutter. Great job!!
3 in the tree, or 4 on the floor?
I saw her messing around by the wheel, I think it might be 3 in the tree
Neither. It's an automatic.
Nice! She is so sweet. Love the simple life. Working on my bus now. Going to be a little more than this, but same attitude.
she needs to paint it Hippy Colors it would be cute
Good clean, basic rv. Will emulate your rv someday. Thanks for sharing it.

I like her conversion, too small for me. I wish you would have shown the front curtain up close. Don't forget to do close ups.
Simplicity.... Very cool. Thanks for sharing
where do you shower?
Likely gyms, campgrounds, solar showers, spritz bottles and washcloths, wash basin, baby wipes. If you look at a lot of these, like I have, people are innovative and creative with how they use facilities and keep clean.
Jannike Johnsen they also have gym membership
Sebastian Nava - The first thing Janike J listed was ... "gyms."
Beautiful, hey bus looks good too!!
How old is this video Love? The guy who made her stove has went out of business and has not been answering post in months.
well gosh. All UA-cam videos have a date posted. And there are many small stoves available these days. What is your point?

Does the carpet match the drapes?
