Always loved the Apache, even today, if I had deep pockets I'd buy one, really deep
That baby use to smuggle 1/4 ton of snow in a quick trip
The 41' Apache is BAD ASS!
1:05 such an awesome feeling in the water so fast with air time. So envious....
Amazing so much power, drinking n gulping that fuel. Awesome how those 2 props push it so fast
Thx for posting. I could watch those fine pieces of art fly over the water all day long. Just amazing.
The coolest video ever - just great! I held my breath all 4 minutes...

Apache.......There is no substitute!
Favorite Apache of all time was Tweet Revenge 47
What's powering the Apache??? That's some driving and power....
Just listen to that throttling .
I'd like to measure the G forces acting on the engines & fuel tanks as it bounces.
Coolest offshore racing footage ever 👍
Benji won't be coming back from where he is, not in this lifetime.
those boats were sick man
Lol 90 mph in a '92 Apache 41 in 8 foot seas. Ridiculous. Apaches are amazing.
Beautiful stuff!!!
classic !!, "the magic throttle arm of Bob Saccenti"
love this real OFFSHORE Racing.
Never gets old
so fucking nice!
When BOAT racing was Boat racing!!
Those are definitely Apache conditions.
This is proof positive of Apache dominance in heavy water. Good Lord, watch this vid!! W O W!!
That is NUTS!!
Lock at that boat handles! He sure got that right!!
@Lynchfan88 This is my fave race video. Too bad there's not one from the Powerboat P1 Malta race two years ago. They raced in 15-20s and almost every boat broke. I believe the 41' Chaudron boat was one of the few that made it to the finish line.
@unsane Hey bro this is the catman who's calling the race? Yeah those were lots bigger seas than 3s.
wooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwww!!!!
@mwgoldman11 No.......try 4-8.........(first part of video) I know who is calling the action from the chopper and if he says it's 4-8 then it would be wise to believe him. No 3 footer is going to sky a 41 Apache.
I think he was sentenced to life without parole.
V bottoms are so much cooler looking.
bump-freeze-pause-and bump-freeze-pause the video at 2:22-23... Wowza ! ... They gotta be 15-18' above water ?!? Apaches Rule
@unsane I think he should come back and do it again. Unfortunately he won't have any Apaches to brag on unless Predator is still racing...Oh well there's always his other fave boat...Skater. :D
Prop dancin at it's finest!!!
is ben kramer still in prison?
Lot's of guys say these boats are too heavy, slow hulls, resin buckets...bla bla bla. I just wonder though, if a boat with a light lay up wouldn't have collapsed after a big wave like that and smashing bow first at those speeds... Apache's are built to last, that's for sure...
spot on, When i hear apache, I think tank. True classic boat right there.. when offshore racing was legit.. =)
They used to have to have resin bucket boats cause they actually raced offshore where there's waves so the weight kept them running through the waves without getting killed. These days they race on rivers, inlets and lakes so they can make their boats out of paper mache.
damm where did you hear that. i thought the warpath was alive n well somewhere near boston. at least in 2003 it was..
Did Don Aronow design the Apaches??
+Christoph Hoessly I believe it was Bobby Sacenti, the throttle man in this boat. But Mark McManus owns the company now. A lot of controversy and drama surrounding these boats. Bobby owns Chief Powerboats and some consider those the "real" continuation of these older Apaches.
+unsane Thanks. Question may have been asked but do you know what happened to the #69 Team Apache boat?? Hoping she is still afloat. An absolute classic that should be preserved. They can keep their turbines and 140mph cat hulls. Take a '41 with twin BBCs any day.
***** I believe the original Warpath is still out there. I think it was restored years ago and I seem to remember it being for sale or sold in 2012. But there was a second boat called Warpath too, so I may be getting those 2 confused. Look up Chief Powerboats. Bob Saccenti is basically building these again.
I've been doing some research lately and Don was responsible for Warpath's mold.
Cigarette, Formula, Magnum...you name it. Apache's history is very crazy and it's a shame Bob Saccenti lost the rights to the name to Mark McManus, who's still building the boats using the name. So Bob started Chief Powerboats, basically using the original 41 designs (which is called a 42). He's building the 21 Scout again and some monster 72' patrol boat. Anything else is coming from McManus.
2020!
@dieseldog00 I take that back the 41 Apache cat Warpaint is still racing...
😎👍👍👊👊
@dieseldog00 Should be Rich, aka T2X.
