OK Brian! It's time!!!!!!!!!!! IT"S TIME to pass the Torch and START THE NEXT CHAPTER!!! Take a Break and find a job on a PRIVATE YACHT as OOW/Problem solver/ semi medic, THE List can go on and on!! Your knowledge base is of extreme value!! I'm Sure that during your Sailing Exposure, you have met many a Captain that will HIRE You in a Second! I would bet you have NO problem being offered a position of such. TIME TO MAKE THAT JUMP!! Let Brady take the helm of Delos for a little while. Turn the Clock back a little bit, Bring Brady on the helm, take on some sailing mates for Sailing help. All the while Keeping Delos prevalent in the Social Media Arena!!!! Mechanical issues were never Bradys' forte but Thanks to the Electronical devices available today, You still have the ability to monitor Delos in every aspect needed and Then when Needed you have the physical labor needed as well!! Life on the hard ground for awhile may be good for you. Bring back the old crew with Brady at the helm for awhile!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know you don't like answering to the Man but Sometimes that Man recognizes and respects your Knowledge base and Maybe you can recognize his as well!! Listen to me Grasshopper! I will meet you face to face one day and maybe I will be a deckhand for a bit, then find myself as 1st mat, OOW, Then gunning for captain. You up for the Challenge?? LPOKC

MY Wife got UTI's all of time. She is a Natural Health Nut and through research found D-MANNOSE which is used for urinary health. She has been using for 20 years and hasn't gotten a UTI since. It's a natural sugar that keeps bacteria from adhering to the urinary walls. She takes ONE 500 MG a day for maintenance. If she feels like anything might be brewing, she'll ups it to TWO or THREE a day. Hope this helps you as much as it has for so many. Love you guys Wes n Sheri.. PS; SUPER HAPPY you didn't have anything that was worse and you were able to mend quickly !! :)

So important to have community! Grace & Bill (Calico Skies Channel) rock. They truly love you SV Delos Crew.
American Medical cost. Had migraine after grinding my invisalign trays. All the muscles clamped around my ear =vestibular migraine. ER visit (CT of head for HA, EKG for Jaw pain assoc. With women & heart attacks, IV for basic labs (pain meds, zofran anti nausea, Valium & Benadryl migraine), 1000 cc saline. Out after 3hrs. Contracted insurance price $14,000. My cost $1500. Crazy if you don't have insurance and even when you do have insurance in the US. SV Delos, you are so blessed but you are a blessing to others! ❤️

A big shout out to your friends from Calico Skies! It's good to know that you have such good friends around. That is a really true friendship: a helping hand when you’re struggling!
Brave Captain Brian who still managed to stay calm and run the show. And don't worry about the lost fish, you'll have better luck next time. Remember: Regaining health is much more difficult than catching fish...
Thank you stranger Margie for the hospitality and that medical help were available to bring Kazza back to health. Glad you're feeling better and: "Happy Birthday Kazza!" 🎂

So, now I'll wait for the diagnosis if you are able to get one. The lady that helped you. There are stories about ladies like that from very long ago, she is an angel on earth. The real thing ! Kazan, I know the feeling of finding help in a foreign country. When we lived in Norway, we took a trip to what used to be Yugoslavia, our son became very sick. When we made it to Split and needed a hotel for several days, the desk clerk said it would be to expensive to stay there but she had a friend down the coast we could stay with. When we found her house and told her our problem , next day she called a Dr, made appointment for us and took us to the Dr and translated for me. Had to go every day for 10 days so he could get a penicillin injection. They said they thought he had rheumatic fever. Is was so nice to have a friendly face to help us through a bad time

Amazing. It shows how much we all are capable of (wish we all showed it all the time). In the last 76 years I have had the fortune (not monetary), to be a member of a number of different close groups (Weekend RV, Off road dirt bike, Dune Buggy, Sand Buggy, Horse trails, Skiing (water and snow) etc.) I have found that when we aren't in competition (other than playful), we as a society can be so incredibly friendly and helpful to each other. Wish there was a way to get the entire planet on the same keel. All to help and learn from each other rather than forcing others to follow our or there lead. Not being a cruising sailed I have not experience your particular group of associates but it appears the same comradery exists. Great to see examples of what we ALL are capable of. Complete strangers with NOTHING to gain chipping in to help.
THANKS for the refresh on what we should all should strive for each day. The rewards FAR outweigh the work involved.
GREAT GREAT example and of MY favorite of your experiences.

So glad for your village! As far as the cost, let me give you a comparison. I live near Philadelphia and needed IV antibiotics because of a cat bite. No treatment or testing was required, and they did not come to my house (LOL). Literally walked in, saw a triage person, got the IV, and left. The bill was $1200. So happy Karin is better and grace was there to help. Nugget is a real trooper (you too, Brian!).

What excellent help and hospitality & care of a complete stranger. What a hero!
That alone was worth a gazillion dollars!
No, now that I think about it, you can't put a price on what comes from the heart.
    So glad Kazza is OK.

Brian, I could here your pain in you discussing trying to care for Sierra, Kazza, and the boat. I hope you get some time to take care of your mental health as well! I know the stress of that. So glad you had friends. Life without others would be so much harder.

Another episode that brings out some of the finest examples of humanity. At times you link up with folks who have been following Delos for some time, at other times good folks who have never heard of Delos. There are indeed good people around the planet.

Happy to see that Kazaa is feeling better. Had you come to San Diego for Kazaa's treatment and didn't have insurance, I think you would have been looking at a bill in excess of $2,500, if you went to an ER -- ER Triage ($500); ER Room ($1,000); ER Doctor ($500), plus labs. The IV could easily cost $700 or more. Fair seas!

Awww Kazza.... On our first trip in Mexico in 1995-96, Diane caught the boom with her forehead about 25 years ago as we were sailing to Puerto Escondito. Fast panga -> taxi -> the clinic in Loreto. They got a brain swelling IV into her and a plane on standby to take her to La Paz until it was clear there was no skull fracture. Lots of stitches and all was well. Take care. s/v Ceilydh
