The Mielle rosemary hair oil was literally life changing for my hair when I was dealing with post partum hair loss. I noticed a big difference pretty quickly and it’s inexpensive!
@@sharroon7574 I found it at Sally's. Its not inexpensive so I would wait for it to go on 20% off. For me I experienced a moisturized and nourished scalp with this oil. I think it gave my scalp the needed boost so my hair could grow out faster than it might have. All articles I've read about hair growth say you have to have a healthy scalp. Covid made me lose so much hair you could see my scalp, and dried it up. I had never had dry hair. I'm in my 60's so my hair was already thinning, it grew back thicker than before. I also took vitamins made for hair growth and only natural moisturizing shampoos and conditioners. I think the brand I used was "I Am" also at Sally's. Good Luck!!
I got the butterfly pallet and am in total love with it… the two lightest finishing powders are perfect for setting my face in the least drying and most subtle way. The blushes are very similar to one another, but they are perfect for winter. The highlighters are nice too. I wish it had a bronzer but I love everything in it.
I lost almost 1/4 of my hair 3 months after Covid! I got so sick my hair stopped producing, once it grew out to the stress point it all fell out. Fell out for a couple months and started growing back. Horrifying but it stopped! You’re not alone.
I am so happy to hear this! I am at the 3 month mark after covid and my hair is coming out like crazy. Thankful to know it does stop and turns around!!!
I’m experiencing this due to bariatric surgery and it’s so disheartening 😭 hopefully it will stop falling out and grow back again! Sending love to all who are experiencing this as well ❤
OMG KATHLEEN. ever since you mentioned those curl and smith vitamins a few years back, i've been taking them on and off again and I just want to tell you GIRL THEY WORK. my receding hairline is starting to get fuller and I have new hair growth in places where I haven't grown hair on my forehead in years. YOU ARE A REAL ONE FOR SHARING THAT. I will forever repurchase. I also just started taking them again religiously (as I did for like 2 years) and I am just as obsessed. LOVE YOU FOR THAT REC. (LOVE YOU ANYWAYS SINCE 2014 BABEEEEYYYY)
OMG I was literally trying to remember what vitamins she had mentioned for hair. THANK YOU for this comment. Does anyone else have an experience using these vitamins?
If you're suffering from texture skin I recommend Paula's Choice's skin perfecting 2% BHA liquid exfoliant or their daily pore-refining treatment with 2% BHA! Personally I prefer the daily pore-refining treatment, because I feel like the skin perfecting liquid exfoliant leaves a film on my face, but I know a lot of people swear by it. They both really helped with the texture of my skin, I hope they can help yours too!
So happy to see you talk about Bondi Boost!! It’s pronounced Bond-eye like the beach in Australia, haha. Highly recommend the HG range and the hydrating hair mask. It’s bloody amazing.
Do you use their popular chemical exfoliant ( of course I can’t think of the name now) it’s in a grey tube, white cap and it’s has aha’s and something else that starts with a b. Omg, bless you if you actually know what I’m talking about lol Anyways, I was curious as to which product would be better for dehydrated skin with severe dry patches.
Important thing about the hair! I had an insane amount of hair falling off last month and I was also concerned but then I saw a post by Abby Yung about seasonal shedding and looked into it and apparently it’s a thing! I’m happy to report that I’m no longer losing as much hair… I think it’s important because it’s not necessary to buy products that claim to target that issue if it’s not actually an issue. ♥️
Yes, there is seasonal shedding, and it's scary, but Covid induced can be major. I'm talking seeing your scalp type of loss for some of us. You are correct though in not needing to buy into expensive hair products that won't help. After alot of trial and error and lots of money I settled on very natural and moisturizing products for black hair. My fine hair absorbed the moisture, whereas before covid they would have weighed my hair down and looked oily. I also found that products with lots of protein made my hair more dry and brittle. Eat very healthy, take high quality supplements to support your body during and after Covid, cause it wreaks havoc on our whole system. My hairdresser was the one who told me Covid was the culprit, she had been seeing it alot. I researched and sure enough it was being reported by many to happen about 90 days after having Covid. I had it in 2020, dont know if the variants have changed or weakened or gotten stronger.
I was coming to comment the same thing. I was freaking out bc my hair was falling out and suddenly it stopped as the weather got colder. But my best friend experience a massive hair loss due to COVID so both are super impactful
Good to know because I never notice these things but last week a huge chunk came out. It literally freaked me out. It looked like healthy hair too. Thanks for this post.
Although the twins who founded SimiHaze Beauty are Palestinian, the brand is made in Europe. I would maybe say it is an Asian OWNED beauty brand… but it’s not an Asian beauty brand.
I picked up the Iconic London Underglow blurring drops & the Haus Labs foundation because of you and omg I love the combo together! I have the same skin texture & dryness like you.
My hair fell out after Covid too. I also bought the bondi boost and the curlsmith vitamins, plus I started a collagen supplement and it stopped the shed. Good luck!
Your videos are such a mood-booster. I appreciate your honesty about mental health and that you don't paint a perfect picture of your life, because that doesn't exist for anyone, but you somehow manage to be so funny, warm and entertaining even though you mentioned you've been super stressed. Not a huge deal, but Simi Haze isn't an Asian beauty brand, it's a *very* rich high society sister duo named... you guessed it, Simi and Haze lol. Doesn't take away from the aesthetic being refreshing and intriguing, they knew what they were doing :)
10000% covid can cause your hair to fall out. This happened to me as well. It was very concerning. It wasn’t just like normal shedding. It did eventually stop and I have a lot of little breakage pieces and regrow that coming back so using a quick slick wand to smooth down those short pieces so they don’t stick up as they grow back. Hair loss from covid is a thing. A lot of people have expierced it too, but not a lot have talked about it
ok, my hair has been shedding like CRAZY and I didn't feel like my stress level/diet/routine had changed at all so I was so confused. Definitely had COVID. Wow.
Yes, my husband, son and myself had Covid at the same time and we all had hair loss. Mine was the most drastic. My hair stylist also confirmed Covid hair loss is really a thing.
YES! I had Omicron, I got symptoms literally January 1st of this year. Lost my sense of taste and smell immediately, that lasted until March. Then the hair fall started, literally clumps of hair coming out in the shower. That lasted 3 months also, until June. I have dyed black hair, used to be down to my waist when this all happened. :( It thinned out so much, I just had to cut 6 inches off. I can still feel the loss of density when I put my hair in a ponytail, but the good news is that I have a tiny mohawk of regrowth! So it does come back, but I have WAY MORE GRAYS than ever before now. Maybe its my age, I'm 32 so its just a part of life, but I swear there's more gray than before my hair started to fall out.
It’s always so exciting to watch your videos-the variety of accents gets me EVERY TIME!😂 you have your normal voice, excited Hispanic, and then the BRITISH MAKES ME CACKLE!!
For the sale, I got the Huda beauty Rose Quartz pallet and Versace had a full size Bright Crystal perfume with a backpack type purse for $99! It was awesome!
I worked OT and got a $200 gift card (I had a choice to pick something other than Sephora but this is how I indulge myself after having two kids in the last two years). After using my GC and spending a little extra I got a bunch from Nars - two bronzers one regular in San Juan (I have SO much Laguna) and one Matte in Vallarta, the Cheek Palette, the Climax Liner (previously got the mascara in gratis), the Laguna cream bronzing cream, Lip Balm blush and liquid blush all in the shade torrid. Then I also got the Ouai hand cream and two Natasha Denona palettes - the Bloom Cheek palette and the Tan Bronze & Glow palette. Those two had been on my list for a long time but I saw they were on sale so I snatched them up too lol
Kathleen!!! I love when you post makeup tutorial videos! It feels so nostalgic to me for when I first started watching UA-cam. You were one of the first people I subscribed too. I love your videos ❤️❤️🫶🏻🫶🏻
Oh the azaelic acid from Paula’s choice is magic ! Not drying at all but gives you a low and trust me this tube lasts so long ! This is my possibly every ones product from Paula’s
I bought so many things ugh, I bought the iconic london blurring primer and the skin tint , fenty beauty pro filter foundation, Natasha Denona- Dream palette , birthday present for my aunt, and some other things, but I have been loving the fenty beauty foundation that is so amazing !
I’m obsessed with Gucci packaging/makeup too!! How are you doing these days, Kathleen?! I still love your Il Makiage x KL eyeshadow palette btw!! Have a very merry Christmas❣️🎄✨❣️🎄✨
omgggg I also got the elephant palette LOL that was my number 1!!! ive never tried hourglass before cause esspensive but with the sale and I loved the packaging so much and the colors heck ya. I also got the rare beauty blush trio to try those also and love them :)
Hey Kathleen! I also caught covid and noticed my hair shedding alot. Especially in the drain after washing it. I bought Pura d'or at Ulta. Supposed to help with hair thinning, breakage, thickness and strength. I definitely notice less strands of hair in the tub afterwards. Just wanted to let you know of another great product just in case.
I will have to try that shampoo and conditioner because I’ve tried other products from Bondi sands and I could not stand them, I actually gave them away. You have some really neat products today, you just excite me about make up just when I think I can’t get excited about it anymore. I also have to say thank you for showing the hourglass palette because that’s one of the things I asked for for Christmas but I wasn’t too sure which one I wanted and now I want this one. It’s funny when you see them in the pans you’re just not sure and my favorite blush is from hourglass, it’s one of those blushes that you can put on that’s a little peachy yet it has a little glow to it so if I don’t want to wear highlighter which I really haven’t been into lately as much but maybe I will get into more in the winter time but it doubles as both so beautifully.
I had to shave my head 90 days after I had Covid. I spent 9 days in the hospital last year. Mine was extreme, but it did come back thicker and now i have a baby ponytail. I also quit coloring my hair and embraced the gray. I took Olly hair vitamins and it helped. I also used Nioxin Shampoo, Conditioner, and Scalp/Hair treatment from Ulta. I just got the set. Good Luck!!
Kathleen!! I want to get into bullet lipsticks and lipliners but I have no idea where to start. Will you make a video about your favorite in every price range? 🙏 I saw a tik tok about the “correct” way to wear lipliner and lipstick (specifically made for red lipstick) and I would love to see you test it out! I’m gonna see if UA-cam will let me link it 😂
Kathleen! My hair has been falling out like crazy lately, and I think you may have just saved it! Thank you! I will definitely be trying out the shampoo and conditioner you got :)
the PC Azelaic Acid Booster is amazing btw. It can smell a bit tangy/ funky Idk how to describe it, probably because of the licorice. If it's too much for you, you can mix with a clean moisturizer to buffer it. Or you can also use it as a spot treatment but more for like a bigger area e.g., the chin where hormonal acnes show up more.
I don't even think Simihaze is recyclable? Something about the plastic. It's too bulky to put in a lipstick holder or your purse. Not to mention the price per ounce is more than lux brands like Dior. The products look like something you can get from Glossier and Tower28. What's the appeal?
About 90 days after having Covid you can experience hair loss. I had major hair loss, my daughter no more than usual. We both did also notice our hair became brittle and dry. It eventually went away, but oh boy it was scary. I had to use extremely moisturizing hair products for my hair not to look like I put my finger in a socket. I tried to use only very natural based products with no silicones. Loved your video. ❤️
OMG! I love the IGK Good Behavior 4-in-1 prep spray. When I saw ULTA sold a kit of it with IGK Good Behavior Spirulina Protein Anti-Frizz Smoothing Spray and their charcoal dry shampoo for only $45, had to get it!!!! ;D xx
Hieee Kat 👋🏼 can you do a video of perfume hits and misses? I find that a lot of them on the market don’t last more than two hours 🥲 lol thanks if you see this & happy holidays!!!
Kathleen!! Can you do an update of products you loved for your hair! I’m having similar issues and I’m not a hair person so I’m not sure where to even begin. :( this would help a girl out A LOT!
Girl! I feel you on the gift thing. My siblings just keep having more babies and I feel like buying birthday gifts is becoming my full time job (I am The Aunt™)
Can you please please pleaseeee do a video with you creating your favourite eye looks for each of your pallets. I have ALL of them and would love some more inspiration💕💕
I got the sol de Janeiro gift set the Laneige sleep mask gift set of 3 and a 6oz. Jar of first aid beauty ultra repair cream for my dry skin it's the best, and I also have been having issues with my hair falling out like crazy for months and months now it's to the point I'm scared to wash it most of the time cause that's when it comes out the most but yeah I'm rite there with you in that regard, love ya hope you have a blessed holiday season!!
I had covid pretty bad in September. I've noticed an increase of my hair falling out. Prior to this my hair was already thinning due to stress. I started using vegamour about a year ago and it's definitely helped with the length and volume. I took a break when I had covid but now back on it again. Love it!
I had Covid in June and I started loosing a ton of hair in September through October. I honestly thought I wasn't going to have any hair left. It is a related side effect. Stress of course can do it too but, definitely the Rona. Mine is now back to it's normal shedding routine, lol. The Vegamour will help! Give it a couple of months to kick in.
I added the ambient lighting palette to my wishlist as soon as I saw the elephant in the packaging 😂 I won't get it because it's solo expensive but how nice is it to look at it in the list
Kathleen you are such a breath of fresh air! You are so fun to watch, it's like chatting with a friend.
“They met in Argentina” sounds like a good shade name for a nail polish 😉
The Mielle rosemary hair oil was literally life changing for my hair when I was dealing with post partum hair loss. I noticed a big difference pretty quickly and it’s inexpensive!

I don't even think Simihaze is recyclable? Something about the plastic. It's too bulky to put in a lipstick holder or your purse. Not to mention the price per ounce is more than lux brands like Dior. The products look like something you can get from Glossier and Tower28. What's the appeal?
Loveeeee everything 💪🏻🩷🩷
Yessss loved that you mentioned Argentina 🇦🇷 ❤
About 90 days after having Covid you can experience hair loss. I had major hair loss, my daughter no more than usual. We both did also notice our hair became brittle and dry. It eventually went away, but oh boy it was scary. I had to use extremely moisturizing hair products for my hair not to look like I put my finger in a socket. I tried to use only very natural based products with no silicones. Loved your video. ❤️
HIIII KATHLEEEN!!! So happy to see a notification popped up for your video 🥰
OMG! I love the IGK Good Behavior 4-in-1 prep spray. When I saw ULTA sold a kit of it with IGK Good Behavior Spirulina Protein Anti-Frizz Smoothing Spray and their charcoal dry shampoo for only $45, had to get it!!!! ;D
xx
Love you and your videos! I got the disco fox palette yay! Could you do more tutorials more looks with this palette please?!!
Love your channel!
Hi Kathleen, Colourpop is launching a new mega palette, Aurora Struck. Could you do a GRWM vid or a review on it.
Very excited to check out the hair products you mentioned! My hair is thinner than ever bc depression and covid
I have dry skin that is extremely sensitive and the Paula’s choice azalaic acid was really nice

Hey Kathleen! I was just curious. Could you tell me when Il makiage will be restocking your eyeshadow pallette ?
Hey kathleen!Kathleen!! Your greet is so great!! I like Asian products especially the skin care.
For 2 years I’ve been dealing with hair loss because of Covid so thank you for recommending the shampoo!! I’ll definitely buy some!!
The blush duo… Did you use both colors or just one side?
The pick and green packaging remind me of Fairly Odd Parents!
the Maui Moisture bamboo shampoo is a great affordable thickening shampoo! i live in the desert where the water is super hard and it helped a lot!
I LOVE the Paula’s Choice retinol and also the niacinamide. I haven’t tried the one you have but I’d love to hear what you think about it ❤
Can you review coloupop’s new mega pallet please?
Would u be doing nymia palette review?
I had covid pretty bad in September. I've noticed an increase of my hair falling out. Prior to this my hair was already thinning due to stress. I started using vegamour about a year ago and it's definitely helped with the length and volume. I took a break when I had covid but now back on it again. Love it!
I love Good Behavior! So goooood
I bought the tiger one! It was darker but I love super dark, berry toned blushes so I’m excited
Is the disco fox palette restocking?
Ohh I had that t-shirt! I think I bought it in 1990 or 1991, and I used it until around 2014, when my ex boyfriend’s dad used it as a pot holder 😢
Crazy you mention the hair loss thing after covid... I've been wondering that too about myself
I wanted that elephant palate during the sale too, soo bad, but they were all sold out! 😩 online too!! 😩
Hiiiiii! Can you do a wedding makeup tutorial? Maybe how you would do your wedding makeup in 2022/2023
Please let us know how the vegamour serum works for you! I've been thinking of trying it out but I'm not sure how effective it is. Love your videos!
Sephora sells Il makiage?! 🙌 🙌 🙌 I’m so late to the game, thanks for the tea ❤
Bond -eye boost 🧡💛
Bondi is pronounced "bond-dai" like Bondi Beach in Sydney. Bondi Boost started at Bondi Beach. I was so excited to see you using an Aussie product! ❤
I love so much your videos!!! So happy to see you smile
Omg i love when you wanted to rearrange your room to accommodate the packaging lol THAT IS MY PERSONALITY TO A “ T” lol
The Paula's choice Azeleic acid is great. Helps with my bumps on my forehead and discoloration. It does not dry my skin..😊
I added the ambient lighting palette to my wishlist as soon as I saw the elephant in the packaging 😂 I won't get it because it's solo expensive but how nice is it to look at it in the list
