Sounds good so far David. I thought of an idea. Kumeu in west Auckland flooded 2 years in a row putting major stress on Mayor Brown for his response. It happened twice with little done to resolve it from the year before and the average citizen is left thinking why has our government not just taken a bunch of young people on the unemployment benefit and get them digging trenches laying crucial drainage in flood stricken areas nationwide. I would be happy for my tax payer dollars to even let government pay them and offer a yearly contract so these individuals have accommodation and what they need to work to get the job done so we do not have insurance companies not willing to pay out to people that the floods have done to their home. Why? The government did not fix the problem in the first place. Trump will never agree to a free trade agreement. They have been ripped off for years. Please don't embarrasses NZ with even the hint of a woke idea to combat the inevitable. I hope our politicians are not clowns and do the right thing. I'm not having a winge, I know the mess you have been handed. It is what you do with it that matters and who for. Hopefully we the people. Just convince that to Luxon.

Great speech, David. I certainly don't support every policy of Act, but your push for open rational discussion on issues instead of emotional name-calling and vitriole is very refreshing.

How about taking a look at the ACC levy , wasn’t this going to be removed once it became “Self Funding “ $ 50 billion under management, how much more do they need??

Completely agree. Unfortunately I think we are fighting a losing battle, there are too many Majority for Mediocrity people and their numbers are steadily increasing. Educated, hard-working people may have one or two kids or maybe three kids, whilst those Majority for Mediocrity people will have 8 kids. We cannot win.

BUT! ...China are a great model of infrastructure development... We need to get more help from them. Wed have a tunnel under the Remutakas in a year or two.

Reduce government spending is simple. Lower tax. Can't spend as much.
You tax and that meams we can't make that amount of decisions. Tax less, people can make more.decisions for themselves.

David as per usual you are so on to how it could be, if there was able to be consensus, with important forward moving projects, the hold ups with resource consent, is mind boggling ! David you are so prepared to have change! That’s difficult though, to be able to talk with dominant groups is nigh to impossible ! Well spoken David 👌😁

@@brendonmadden-smith Definitely. That is why it is crucial that the use of ethnicity as a measure of entitlement and privilege in everything from healthcare to the criminal sentencing act needs to be removed as soon as possible. Luckily that has already started happening under the current Government.
