My kid was born when this happened, and had a covid graduation. He tells me thinking about the future isn't a priority - living your best life in the here and now is. I was born in 2003, but that doesnt change how 9/11 makes me feel. Ofc its nothing like someone who was there, who saw it on tv, people who lost someone that day, but I feel it. Sometimes I get caught up in politics, or stupid stuff and think things like “oh how could they believe that, its so stupid” then I remember things like this that happened and all that goes away. We all choose sides in America but when thunder strikes, we unite and thats what I love about the country. It seems recently, people have been more divided then I’ve seen so far in my life, but we should all remember this day. Remember those lost, and remember who our true enemies are. Growing up, I never really put too much thought into 9/11, but nowadays it makes me want to join the military. And I wasnt even alive when it happened.
