Congrats on 2 huge bass in one week Roland. I'm 53 and I've been watching you catch bass ever since I can remember and I was sad when you retired from Bassmasters without winning the Classic but you are still the best ever in my mind. Good fishing Roland and thanks for all of the great tips.
Most people don’t even see ONE 10 pounder in their life, let alone catch ONE. Roland CAUGHT 2 in a week! The great thing? He is such a wonderful, happy guy and he deserves 100 more 10 pounders! This man has forgotten more fishing knowledge than most of us will ever know in our life time and it’s a pleasure to him to share it with us. Thank you, sir!
It is amazing that after fishing for decades Martin still gets excited about catching big bass. Who is not subbing his channel. It should be standard for beginners and experienced anglers.
Glad I found you Roland. Read about you back in '80s Field and Stream & Outdoor life mags. I made my own trailer-hook spinner-baits back in the day. Thanks for the tip!. You, Bill, Rick and Larry taught me a lot back then. Fish on brother!
Interestingly, the lure industry pumps out the newest every year. But some of the best are old school. No need to reinvent perfection. Thank you Roland for reminding the sport what WORKS. Best wishes.
Hey Roland, Iove your videos and your humor. I just got in to bass fishing a few weeks ago, learning about baits and lures. First day fishing for bass was last week, caught 3 large mouth one was 3 to 4lbs 1 sm mouth . yesterday caught 4 big mouth, each 2 lb plus, 2 lb plus pike and 6, perch, was thinking about your comments and technque, wait count 123 set hook. Today I bought my first baitcaster set up. Keep up the great work of teadhing, I am 72 yrs. Blessings.
The biggest bass I ever caught was on a JitterBug. During the day, it had just started sprinkling a little. Not raining hard, but just misting and it turned the bass on and he blasted that Jitterbug. I like fishing the JB in certain circumstances. It's great at night as you say, but you can catch some big bass on it during the day too sometimes. There's a reason that bait has been around so long. It works. Have a great weekend sir! Be safe and be well. Thanks for all the great videos!
Glad to see you again used to watch you when you were fishing Bass. Also watch your son now. If ever you have time when were in Punta Gorda would really like to meet you. Great video thank you so much. I never seen any worm weights like that.
Hey Roland my dad caught 2 11lbs Bass within minutes apart from each other. First on was 11.4lbs and the 2nd one was 11.8lbs caught them both at Loxahatchee. He wanted to get pictures of them both but couldn't because his friend fishing in another boat wouldn't take a picture of his Bass with his friends cell phone because my dad's cell phone died. He released them both and that's what we do. My dad recently passed away but you know us both and you use to see my dad and I both when we fished Clewiston. He had the Ztriker Bass Boat Kelly green and white boat with a Javlin 85 horse power motor. Now has a Ranger with a 150 Johnson. We both use to watch you and Orlando Wilson fishing shows. My dad and I really appreciate all of your conservation of not just Bass fishing but all of your science knowledge and protecting Lake Okechobee best you can and letting us know what type of bottom lakes have. Any ways we thank you very much. Scott is carrying on what you've done and appreciate Scott as well. He and I are about the same age. My dad left us 2 years ago and that was my fishing partner and best friend. I just wanted to say that for my dad and myself. You'll see the boat and myself out there soon. It has been a tough transition because he had a lot if knowledge of Bass fishing as well. I wanted to get us on the Scott Martin Challenge but he got cancer and that's what took him. Hope to see you out there. I was born in South Florida this is my home the state of Florida. Thank you Roland for all you do tight lines.
@@CanoeAngler He uses extremely trashy Favorite reels... listen to that buzzbait, can you hear it? No, not over your reel sounding like lawnmower, lol!
Thanks Roland for the big jitterbug tip, with the rubber band- I can use that to catch northern snakeheads we have up here, MD, DE, NJ, PA, VA mid-atlantic areas. -Andy
That was a hilarious story! “An alligator’s got me” what a way to wake up! 😂 Congratulations on those big Hawgs! Thanks for showing us your setups and that monster Professor Martin! Good luck Rick, get a Big un! Have a great weekend and God bless!
Really enjoy your channel....but those ceramic bearings in your reel makes more noise than the buzzbait...I could never get used to the sound of the reel...keep fishin and best of catchin to you !!!

Roland is looking like Clint Eastwood
Really like the rubber band trick with those two trebles in the weeds.
KING MARTIN. The guy slays giants yearly.

@@CanoeAngler He uses extremely trashy Favorite reels... listen to that buzzbait, can you hear it? No, not over your reel sounding like lawnmower, lol!

I'm headed to Florida!!!!!
Appreciate all the tips. Good fishing👍
Ha! I heard that Jerry Reed reference
😄😄😄😄, sounds like your reel makes more noise.
Do u have a trailer on your trailer hook?
Always great videos 👍👍
The man the legend
It's about the challenge. If it was easy, everyone would be bored.
Hey Roland love the channel!
Go Roland go, come down to somewhere in Palm Beach County and find me a little monster bass hole down here in my neighborhood, son!

Man I used to love watch him back in the day fishing 🎣 he's the man
Great big bass Roland!!!!
Do you follow the sonar calendar to help you know when the best days and times of the day to fish?
That was a hilarious story! “An alligator’s got me” what a way to wake up! 😂 Congratulations on those big Hawgs! Thanks for showing us your setups and that monster Professor Martin! Good luck Rick, get a Big un! Have a great weekend and God bless!
To sum up all of Roland's videos use; whopper plopper, devil's horse, or senko....
Mr. Martin, you’re the man.
What’s happening Roland!!!!
Is that kennansville lake?
What's happening roland from Hazlet NJ son.
Woooo nelly ..lol thats a big bass
Really enjoy your channel....but those ceramic bearings in your reel makes more noise than the buzzbait...I could never get used to the sound of the reel...keep fishin and best of catchin to you !!!
Thought I was the only one who noticed that reel sounded like he just plucked it out if a garbage can🤔
I couldn't force myself to use a reel with ceramic bearings... sound is grating... but I guess it's just personal choice.
im fishing in south Florida and aint caught one bass lol
Hey Roland can i get away with 50lb braid instead of 65lb ???
I think it would work alright
Have you ever considered using left handed baitcasting reels to avoid changing hands after casting?
The big bass wait for a legend like Roland to fish ... they say let’s get it .. 10 pounder or bigger is proof 😁
God bless 🙏
Dang Roland, put some oil on that reel!
God is good
I would flip out if I caught a giant bass like that. I hope Rick gets one.
Roland my PB bass is 3 pounds and I live in northwest Wisconsin. Any idea or tips on how I can get a bigger pb this summer?
Check this guy out congratulations Mr martin great deal
So You caught ricks fish. Lol
Roland, you desperately need a windscreen on that mic!
Roland I’d love to fish with u and Scott. You both have Been a huge influence on me since I started fishing as a kid !
Why is that reel so loud
I want to be just like you when I grow up.
Come catch two 10 lbers in AR Roland! You’ll need more than 1 week
Yea sooooooooon
i love your videos, super knowledgeable but this one is unwatchable. barely hear anything with that wind
So I was there in the red nitro z8 and we past him multiple times and he caught those fish on shiners. Also that bass is big but it's not 10 pounds.
why don't you go somewhere else? I think you are full of it.
He doesn't have to lie though Roland can fish I know this but lying about it ain't right
