I just discovered this after playing the card version as a kid. How does this differ from the other electronic version I see Strat has offered? Are they phasing away from the physical cards? I dont see many teams available, I asked about the 27 Yankees, and they said they have no plans on reprinting this in the future....Sad
Hi David, you can still purchase physical cards from Strat. I know they still issue a set for the previous season sometime in the spring, and they also sell "greatest team" sets. Maybe other varieties, IDK. I would be surprised if the '27 Yankess are not included in a "greatest team" set. The 365 gaming experience is different, BUT the game results are still based on the same player cards as the physical set. The difference is that a computer rolls the dice and looks up results. There is a great variety of card sets you can choose from when you play 365 online. The All-Time Greats set, illustrated in my video here, is comprised of a few thousand different player cards from throughout baseball history, including 19th Century and Negro League. But there are also "decade" sets consisting of players from a specific decade, and also numerous single season sets -- mostly of seasons from the past 25 years or so, but also specific seasons, like 1969 or 1977. You might be asking how does this 365 online differ from the computer-based game in which you install software disks to your PC. The answer is I don't know - I never got into that. But the 365 online version is a lot of fun, especially if you have a group of friends to arrange into a league to play with. I recommend it - it's mildly addicting. Cost is $20 per season, but you can win free game credits if you make it to the World Series in your league.
Hey Mark - I know how the ballparks work with Singles and HR's but I had a question - are there any 365 Ballparks that are Double Ballparks? Do players hit more doubles in certain ballparks?

Hi Luke - no, ballparks in Stratomatic have no effect on Doubles or Triples. Only Singles and Home Runs. It would be cool if they did.
