Revolver is much higher in quality, more revolutionary, influential compared to Sgt. Peppers, in addition to being made first. Revolver was the departure from the Beatles " suit" music as I call it. Just think of all the songs they wrote when they were still touring. .....SUITS! The last time you see this is the promo film for Day Tripper! TNK is a drug trip put to music by John. Its probably really cool sounding when you're as tripped out as John, but 100% sober its incredible to think that a Beatle wrote this!! The cawing bird sound is f-ing annoying as is the Indian meditation droning vocals!! The songs sound effects were all manually pieced together on audio recording tape. Today you just sample it into a computer and merge the files into a track. The process in the 60s was very time consuming and labor intensive! IMHO the end result was a massive waste of time and resources! I liked Revolver overall. Eleanor Rigby is a haunting song by Paul and the only song where no Beatle plays any instrument!! Sgt.Pepper merely built off the experimental design of song writing. It was Paul's baby overall. John's 3 song contributions are forever etched in time as his best writing of the psychedelic era. A Day in the Life , Strawberry Fields and Lucy in the Sky are his strongest, and Mr. Kite was a whimsical song John wrote on the fly from an antique shop poster of a carnival. A very depressing song that SHOULDN'T be included on the album! Really guys, Penny Lane and Hello Goodbye were dropped from the album in favor of this 💩💩?? Thankfully both of these great songs were released as singles!! Everyone blames Paul for writing POSITIVE music, and happy fun tunes. So what, I would rather hear that music than the drug addled music John was writing. George is 2nd in that category!! Fixing a Hole was often interpreted as a reference to heroin use. Okay, maybe, but then again Got to Get You into My Life, McCartney admitted was an ode to Marijuana use!! WTF, how does the lyrics match his intentions?? It sounds like a happy romantic love song and now we find out his LOVE interest is POT????

A few questionable decisions but overall close to my picks. I would’ve gone: Taxman Eleanor Rigby I’m only sleeping Getting better Fixing a hole (toughest battle imo) Shes leaving home She said she said Within you without you And your bird can sing Doctor Robert I want to tell you A day in the life (another super tough one) Pretty similar to the list but a few changes at the start. Overall slight edge to revolver 7-5. I wouldn’t say I prefer either overall though

Not a fair comparison because it leaves out Tomorrow Never Knows, which is one of, if not, the best track on Revolver. I personally would've combined a couple tracks from Revolver to make it a more direct comparison with 13 tracks each. Maybe combining Good Day Sunshine and And Your Bind Can Sing and have that go up against Within You Without You.

For me Revolver was more a great step over Rubber Soul than Pepper over Revolver
@@gvgv3515every single word of this post is utterly moronic
Sgt Pepper’s is better regarding to the concept of the whole album, but each songs on Revolver is much exciting for me.
Well said, I agree!
agreed
The concept of Sgt. Peppers is not so good either. Revolver>>>
1. Taxman
2. Eleanor Rigby
3. I'm Only Sleeping
4. Love You To
5. Here, There, Everywhere
6. She's Leaving Home
7. She Said She Said
8. Within You Without You
9. When I'm Sixty Four
10. For No One
11. Doctor Robert
12. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)
13. Tomorrow Never Knows
I agree with the result, but not entirely with the process. There are two songs I would swap, but the best ones are in place, which surprised me. Good video!
You're fr putting For No One above LOVEEELYYY METER MAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIDDDDD?!?!?!!
yes because for no one is better
@@terg8472nah. Rita's more complex, experimental and acrobatic melodically
Bro put tomorrow never knows below a day in the life 💀
Revolver rocks harder overall so it gets my vote.
Revolver vs Sgt Pepper's
Alternate title : John's Acid Album vs Paul's Acid Album.
Because Sgt Pepper's was under Paul's LSD experience and Revolver was under John's LSD Experience.
paul >>>
that's why as great as Paul was John was better
Revolver is more a John and Paul equal record and closely George
Sgt Pepper is a Paul record
@@emperorbulblax nah, John is the better artist.
Imo "Paul's acid experience" is not even close to John's. John made better music during that period.
Bro put Sgt pepper over taxman 💀
I Agree Taxman Is Better
A few questionable decisions but overall close to my picks. I would’ve gone:
Taxman
Eleanor Rigby
I’m only sleeping
Getting better
Fixing a hole (toughest battle imo)
Shes leaving home
She said she said
Within you without you
And your bird can sing
Doctor Robert
I want to tell you
A day in the life (another super tough one)
Pretty similar to the list but a few changes at the start. Overall slight edge to revolver 7-5. I wouldn’t say I prefer either overall though
That's actually an interesting progression I've never noticed before:
Revolver's 2nd track: loneliness
Sgt. Pepper's 2nd track: friendship
Being For The Benefit Of Mr.Kite! It's a thousand times better than she said she said 😭🙏
In the 60’s 70’s and 80’s I put Pepper above Revolver. In the new millennium Revolver sounds much better.
IMO Revolver has just aged better .
Just fashion.
Bad take
Revolver sounds fresh and Pepper sounds at times dated
For me, it’s:
1) Taxman
2) With a Little Help From My Friends
3) I’m Only Sleeping
4) Getting Better
5) Here, There, and Everywhere
6) She’s Leaving Home
7) She Said She Said
8) Within You Without You
9) And Your Bird Can Sing
10) For No One
11) Good Morning, Good Morning
12) I Want to Tell You
13) A Day in the Life
14) Tomorrow Never Knows (technicality; it counts lawl)
with a little help is the best song
You have revolver an unfair advantage by combining the last two tracks. Based list.
In my books, Revolver 8 - 6 Sgt peppers.
-Sgt peppers
-Eleanor Rigby
-Im only sleeping
-Getting Better
-Here, there and everywhere
-Shes leaving home
-She said she said
-Within you without you
-For no one/lovely rita
-And your bird can sing
-Doctor Robert
-I want to tell you
-A day in the life
Ahhh damn fixing a hole is so good though
It's so tough to choose between I'm Only Sleeping and Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
Both are in my favourites
I'm only sleeping > LSD
Doctor Robert > Good morning
1. Sgt. Pepper's
2. Eleanor Rigby
3. Lucy in the sky with diamonds
4. Getting better
5. Fixing a hole (I know, I'm in a huge minority with this pick)
6. She's leaving home
7. She said she said
8. Within you without you
9. When I'm sixty four
10. For no one
11. Doctor Robert
12. I want to tell you
13. A day in the life
Not surprised at all, I'm definitely more of a Sgt. Pepper's person, always have been
How Within You Without You is better than any other song
Raga Rock classic
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is fire, but idk man I personally would have given it to I’m Only Sleeping.
choosing between Tomorrow Never Knows and A Day In The Life is hard, but Tomorrow Never Knows is better
Within you without you better than Good day sunshine? No way!!
I'm only sleeping destroys Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Bro tomorrow never knows is the best song of the 2 albums. Ain’t no way it lost
i feel like he is going by popular opinion. but yeah, Sgt Pepper as an album is so ass, no way it beats Revolver
NAH Yellow Submarine is WAY too iconic to lose.
That’s actually just about spot on. Even if tomorrow never knows is my favourite song and got to get you into my life is excellent. Don’t listen too much to the naysayers, this is one of the few accurate rankings.
Good Morning Good Morning above Doctor Robert is just inaccurate.
Also Taxman is better than Sgt. Peppers.
Like I said, don’t listen to the naysayers.
@@latenightlogic Just because the host's point of view coincides with your opinion doesn't mean that the rest of us are naysayers.
@@luisjeremyramossotil5650 Go away. What a piss weak statement I have to make because this thing won’t allow swearing.
dudeee this is not fair they are like the best two albums
no way i'm only sleeping looses dawg
LSD is just really really good so it's not a match. Plus as far as Lennon's depressing songs go, most people prefer Im so tired
Such an overrated track
"Day in the Life" alone trumps all the other songs, and this is coming from the biggest Beatles' fan out there.
Mr Kite is so incredibly underrated
Exelente video crack 😎👍
Da hell. It's Got To Get You Into My Life AND freaking monster of a closer Tomorrow Never Knows.
This one was rough, i love both
My Picks
1. Taxman
2. Eleanor Rigby
3. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
4.Getting Better
5. Here, There and Everywhere
6. She's Leaving Home
7.She Said She Said
8. Good Day Sunshine
9. And Your Bird Can Sing
10. For No One
11. Doctor Robert
12. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)
13. A Day In The Life
1- sgt Peppers
2- eleanor rigby
3- lucy in the sky with diamonds
4- gettin better
5- here there and everywhere
6- shes leaving home
7- being for the benefit of mr. Kite
8- within you without you
9- and your bird can sing
10- for no one
11- good morning
12- sgt Peppers reprise
13- a day in the life
Sgt Peppers 9 X Revolver 4
I'd choose I'm Only Sleeping over Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds any day of the week
Good day sunshine is better than Within you Without you
I Hated Within You Without You And Love You To
Norwegian Wood And The Inner Light Are Better
Not a fair comparison because it leaves out Tomorrow Never Knows, which is one of, if not, the best track on Revolver. I personally would've combined a couple tracks from Revolver to make it a more direct comparison with 13 tracks each. Maybe combining Good Day Sunshine and And Your Bind Can Sing and have that go up against Within You Without You.
Taxman? Yellow Submarine? Sixty-Four? Got to Get You Into My Life? Seriously?
I agree with everything except yellow submarine, i actually don’t anymore, shit these are literally some of there best albums.
Round 1: Taxman
Round 2: Eleanor Rigby
Round 3: I'm Only Sleeping
Round 4: Getting Better
Round 5: Fixing a Hole
Round 6: She's Leaving Home
Round 7: She Said She Said
Round 8: Within You Without You
Round 9: And Your Bird Can Sing
Round 10: For No One
Round 11: Doctor Robert
Round 12: I Want to Tell You
Round 13: A Day In The Life (unlucky because all 3 are amazing)
Final score 8-5 Revolver
MY OPINION ^^^
Some very tough decisions here
I always say, that Revolver is the best album of Beatles as the band, but Sgt. Pepper is the greatest albusm of Beatles as the phenomenon
She Said She Said over Mr. Kite??? Bro…
I LOVE YELLOW SUBAMRINE SO PERSONALLY I WOULDNT CHANGED THAT
there is no fucking way:
- title track over taxman
- getting better over love you to
- day in the life over got to get you into my life *and* tomorrow never knows
I can understand the others but Getting Better over Love You To??? Love You To is absolutely transcendental, pure genius throughout
You might prefer "got to get you into my life" and "tomorrow never knows" over "a day in the life", but it's hardly insane to like ADITL more.
Tomorrow never knows is my favourite ever but a day in the life is a bit better, probably the greatest song ever.
You should compare Revolver and Rubber Soul tracks next.
I thought I like Sgt pepper’s more than Revolver, but after watching this short my opinion changed.
Yellow submarine over she’s leaving home any day of the week
I'm only sleeping >>>>> Lucy
They are all masterpeaces! A battle with beatles songs is not the best idea
IM ONLY SLEEPING ES MI CANCIÓN FAVORITA JAJAJAJ QUÉ
I have both albums on vinyl and the sgt pepper is from 1967
1 Sgt Pepper's
2 Eleanor Rigby
3 I'm Only Sleeping
4 Love You To
5 Fixing A Hole
6 Yellow Submarine
7 She Said She Said
8 Within You Without You
9 And Your Bird Can Sing
10 Lovely Rita
11 Good Morning
12 I Want To Tell You
13 A Day In The Life(tough one)
I really don't know why I wrote it but this is my list. Have a nice day.
