The Landing is one of the last places I go to during each Branson visit. It's great place to find gifts and some good lunch if I don't have time to stop by Lambert's during the long drive home. I loved the Ride the Ducks that was there as well. I miss the Ducks.
A few things about the landing - Paula Dean's is really good. I have been there a few times with family and you pay per person. you choose either 2 or 3 types of meat and your sides for the whole table. It all you can eat so they will refill the bowls. One downside is you can't take any leftovers with you, only dessert can be taken to-go. their ogey gooey cake is delicious. Mellow Mushroom pizza is also pretty good. I first saw them in the Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge TN area. I was excited when I saw them on the landing in Branson. I don't know if you have ever seen the fountain at night but they do lights and music show on the hour after dark that looks pretty cool. Also the booth you passed on the way to the fountain that said "Amphicar Tours" that is pretty new to the landing and I did it last summer. They are basically little old-fashioned-looking cars that are also boats and they drive them right into the water! If you get a tour at the right time they will stop the boat behind the fountain and you can watch the fountain show from the "lake" which we got to do. ( I agree with you that it isn't really a lake) It seems that the landing is ever-changing and there's always something fun to do!
I went to the Landing twice during my trip to Branson just about two weeks ago. I loved RideMakerz, Waxy O'Sheas, and most of the great stores there. The fountain shows each hour are incredible.
the last thing i expected to hear in Branson was the Cal Worthington jingle, he had a bunch of dealerships up here in Alaska before he passed and his son sold it to another dealership network
me too. It was really almost shocking. Cal was huge in California, especially Sacramento. I actually went on a huge trip that was part of an advertising promotion for one of the local TV stations when I was in high school, and he was supposed to go with us but backed out shortly before we left.
As a pepperhead I'll definitely have to check out the Pepper Palace place. Somehow I missed that. I think it is dumb they call it a lake; it looks like a river to me, too. Maybe its semantics because the Table Rock Dam tailrace elevation is lower than the full pool elevation of the next lower dam. Just an idea - not my vocational area . I remember getting some fishing gear at the Bass Pro Shop to keep my underwater basket weaving tooling lanyarded to the fishing vest I keep my reeds in. Also watched the fountain show and did the dinner boat ride. And Ride the Ducks? Don't get me started. Simply stated, I saw it coming as part of my job entailed investigating transportation accidents, and bad management/communications are ALWAYS causal.
yeah, sadly I think a number of people saw that coming with the Ducks. it was a lot of fun when it was here, but I think the writing was on the wall as well
Just found out we are going to tablerock and silver dollar city again in july i still have my pokemon from pokemon go that i got at the dancing fountain
I can see in sir willows mind when he was doing the target shooting game he was aiming at dumb annoying guests WERE IS THE GOLF BALL ? PINGGGGGG 100 points got him in the Fanny pack lol
