- Let’s get the DJVI Geometry Dash creator contest started! The rules are simple. Create and decorate a Geometry Dash level that uses DJVI music. You may use any DJVI song that can be found on Newgrounds. Also, make sure to take good advantage of the new 2.2 features. The winner of the contest gets 100 US dollars (payment is done using PayPal) and the prize for the second and the third place is one month Discord Nitro. The deadline for the level submissions is February 18th 2024 22:00 PST.

Once the submission deadline is reached, the jury, including DJVI, will decide 3-5 best levels that will advance to the finals. Once the finalist levels have been decided, they will be showcased in my UA-cam channel and everyone gets to vote for their favorite. The winner will be announced soon after the voting period.
Here are the additional guidelines to keep in mind when creating your level
● The level should make good use of the new 2.2 update features
● The level should be at least 60 seconds long
● The level difficulty can be anything, even auto level
● The decoration style of the level can be anything
● Try to make the level as enjoyable and easily sightreadable as possible so you can effortlessly see what is happening in the level.
● Avoid adding excessive amounts of decoration, what I consider to be the optimal amount of decoration is the amount you can see in RobTop's latest official levels (such as Dash, for example).
● Platformer levels are not accepted in this contest
Because a lot of the levels will probably be way harder than I’m able to complete, I will also need good players to the jury. Members of the jury get to decide with me the finalist levels. Jury members should also be able to play and finish the levels and record the gameplay, so I’m able to use those videos when showcasing the finalists levels and the winner level. I’m not that good at decorating but when he said the level should be sightreadable, I think I might try because I like making fun and enjoyable gameplay!
I simply just don't like levels that are over decorated and hard to read haha. Usually less is more
I don’t like overdecorated levels because my devices are too weak for them lol (also very often I can’t sightread some parts)
@@slashyfootballOverdecoration is the reason why I believe a good chunk of the GD Awards 2023 nominees didn't actually deserve their noms. Kinda sad that today, GD levels exist as a visual showcase first, and an actual level second, leading to some terrible gameplay in most featured levels these days.

This is fascinating because I've been working on making my first actual decorated level in geometry dash using paradox before this video released, though since I'm not a fast or talented creator I'll still continue it as a passion project I guess I could try if I somehow finish making it by February 18th lol

That's an interesting idea about the creator contest. I'd like to take part in it, but I'm already building a level now with a different song, but I'll be interested to see levels by other players with songs by one of the best music creators. I just want to wish good luck to players, that will take part in the contest

You get nitro but I'm not sure how the nitro stacks up if you already have a nitro, It will probably make the nitro last longer

You can use multiple songs as long as they are all my songs. Sounds effects are allowed
