She hasn't changed, at all. At almost 70 she's just as smart and down to Earth today as she was 50 years ago.
she is captivating with an excellent sense of humor, this clip made my day!!
This Aired march 1971.. lordy .. i was only 1 year old, after watching this and other than the fashion, it could well be last week lol
So composed and funny for a 19 year old who had such an extraordinary life.
No one today is this composed and well spoken at 19. She is quite intelligent and still gorgeous today
Lucie seems very mature for her age and so funny! Very down-to-earth....her parents did a very good job raising her in a crazy place like Hollywood.
i wish i was so rounded at 19... she seems so modern in her manner too
hellodavey1902 all you had to do was have wealthy parents to send you to the best schools that actually educate and teach critical thinking. Instead of going to public schools. I swear public school is merely a way to give worthless hunks of meat the ability to work in the service industry to serve the wealthy. Private schools teach you how to be wealth.
@@MrJPEzra What an ignorant comment. Did Paris Hilton come across as this self-possessed? It's true that money can give a child more experiences and a cosmopolitan aura but there is a generational influence as well. No one is worthless, asshole!!!!!
lemurian chick ohhhhhhh shut upppp
lemurian chick I agree nobody is worthless but there is a class of individuals in this world that think some people are worthless. Do you for a second think that a dude with a 6+ digit bank account they inherited even are aware of the existence of the impoverished?not saying they can’t but most don’t. Watch the documentary “Born Rich” by Jamie Johnson the heir the the Johnson & Johnson It’s eye opening and very interesting. He’s well aware of how the other half lives but many of his friends have no clue about the poor.
Edit: added movie title and name of producer. Spelling corrections. Removed previous line pertaining to movie.
Added more sprinkles and lovin’
@@MrJPEzra So the basis of your argument is that no good, well adjusted successful people have ever come from a public education background? I think you may start to find a few examples where that doesn't track...
She's a character just like her mom you never know what either was gonna say next
I don't think so. This explains why she never really made it on her own. She's weird!
@@pauldecroix4567 you're in an abysmal minority with that opinion. She's positively charming.
There are a lot of adults who are not this engaging. I mean he's had famous actors on who were very nervous. It's amazing she's only 19...when I was 19 I could have never pulled off being on a television show and been interesting. She's pretty impressive.
What a beauty, has that Cuban blood 🩸 🩸 👍🏽👍🏽
Yah, just discovered how incredibly witty and funny Lucie Arnaz is so I'm currently going through all her old interviews and recent interviews.
Lucy Arnez was a beautiful women inside and out.Truly a bright shining star.
Still alive
Its spelled Lucie Arnaz and she's still alive. She became a stepmom herself like her mom did.
@@samahnsoleimanian1756 Lucille Ball was never a stepmother. She had two kids.
@@RyannFieldd Sorry Ryan. Lucie is step mother to her husbands children who's mom is Robin Strasser from the daytime soap opera world.
I can hear her mother in her voice and cadence.
yesss she talks alot like her
She was absolutely Heart stopping ....
I always loved Dick Cavett,he would laugh at himself, such great talk show hosts back then.
She's very engaging and her Ann-Margret (as Kim in Bye Bye Birdie) was actually pretty on point.
Wow she looks so much like Desi
yep!
She did have spontaneous wit ! Probably still does, but we don't see much of her these days. Her parents were part of the golden age of television ! When the quality of TV was respectable and decent !
She is brilliant. Fine interview and interviewer. Nice surprise
A Beautiful Woman who truly came into her own
She is so effortlessly charming. And though Lucie is lovely here, I honestly think she's prettier now at age 70.
We both of her parents were very charming which is why they got as far as they did
Mad respect for Lucie.
So pretty, polished and classy.
How did I go from cracking my knuckles to defend the Catholic Church to screaming with laughter? Miss Arnaz is absolutely spot on the Money about primary school nuns being a breed unto themselves. Recruited from the Army says it all.
Thank you for the laugh!
The outfit is on spot..
She doesn’t seem 19. She was very mature for her age.
Wow! Very composed at such a young age. Her education, and advanced life experience come through at the tender age of 19. It explains as I look back when I was 19, why I dated a 16 year-old! I wouldn't of stood a chance with Ms. Arnaz. Times have changed though, now I am old and wise like Yoda, proving the adage; "Youth is wasted on the young".
Always had a good energy
Yes: very smart, talented and a practical-minded gal
She was only 19 years old here.
Class act -so is Lucy -amazing -
Dick's Ann Margaret story at the end is the best part
"Carnal Knowledge" would have come out not too long after this. I'm guessing that Ann-Margaret didn't go on Cavett's show to promote it. LOL.
I love her outfit! It looks like something girls would wear today.
So true!
Well, 60s-90s didn't completely die
Dressed like Ann Marie in Marlo Thomas' last season of THAT GIRL!
No girl would dress like that today c´mon
For those who know, Mary Wickes and Wally Cox is pretty impressive, although they were character actors. Not stars.
She’s so tall at 5’10. I can’t relate. I’m 5’3 and I wish I was tall.
Lucie Arnaz is so pretty 🤩
She seems very nice
Lucie here and young Liza Minnelli have a similar vocal and speaking style, having grown up in the same area of LA.
Hilarious
Wally Cox
😂😂😂
Golly that was 50 years ago.
She is very pretty 😍. Lucky whoever was her boyfriend or husband. Very beautiful looking woman
She reminds of Mary Tyler Moore!!!
She's got a great sense of humor (no shocker there), but besides the dark hair to correlate with Dezi, I feel like she doesn't resemble him or Lucy in any way at all. I'd never seen her before this and if I saw her out of context, I'd never guessed she was their daughter.
Desi
19? I certainly thought she was mid-twenties at least. Of course, not many kids grow up in Hollywood
If you compare young people of earlier eras to today, it's almost as if the young people today are much more immature and less sophisticated.
I was thinking late 30s, even 40s!
She must have been a lot of fun back then.
have nothing against the other celebs that were on this show but is this channel ever going to show the Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason or Art Carney? How about any Honeymooners actors that were part of the main cast? These are rarities much like the other videos around here.
thx for posting, dick! so random . . . on 9-11. i always loved lucie arnaz!! watching her she seems so current + she reminds me of someone, i can't put my finger on it (not lucy) . . .
She was cute
Seems the same with Judy Garland's daughter. A classy lady with a personality.
#TRUMP2020🇺🇸
@@Erwin3333 Indeed, "Trump 20/20": 10 years in federal prison, 10 years in state prison.
Had no idea she was that tall
Suzie Paris I didn't either, and now it makes sense. In '72, a 14 year old Donny Osmond was on "Here's Lucy" episode. Donny and Lucie did a duet, and she sat thru it. I need to re-watch that episode to see if they ever stood together.
Did she play a giant dwarf in an episode of "Here's Lucy?"
Same voice as her mother
Her mother hair dark brunette..
She was never as dark haired as Luci though.
Lucy was born with mousy brown hair.
This guy has no personality!
Is she really 6 foot 3?
I thinkl she said almost 5'9"...
@@drmorqWarrenProject Dick was joking that she was 6 foot 3 then. He confused me. Thanks for the clarification.
5'10. It took me a while to figure out he was joking to. I wondered about that since I knew both her parents were not even 6ft tall, but I looked it up. I would have loved a girlfriend like her in high school, pretty and funny, even though she was a few inches taller than me and 4 years older.
@@wiseguymaybe while watching the I love Lucy show you can notice Desi Arnaz wore shoes with three inch heels.
I guess he was wanting to appear taller than he was.
19! She looks 29! Once again, no career without her mom.
She had the career she wanted. She didn't want to be her mother. There always has to be one of you. Petty, small bitter and unfulfilled. She is a lovely personable lady. Everything you are not.
@@nickydalto9527 Well, calling a stranger "petty, small bitter, and unfulfilled" exposes you as a hypocrite and shows that you are indeed the one that has all of these qualities. Get help. I think you need it after trolling Facebook to criticize strangers. Peace
PS: I stand by my comment, her mother gave her acting jobs and without Lucille's support, Lucie would be working the drive-thru at In-N-Out burger.
@@spencerpierce1251 I'm not trolling. I'm watching the interview. You're a pig .
@@nickydalto9527 And you are a loser.
@@spencerpierce1251 out of all these comments, yours is the only nasty negative comment. That speaks volumes. You are definitely in the minority here.
Wow a little artless, a little immature. Would have expected more thoughtfulness.
He doesn't have my much talent
Such a Beautiful Elegant Lady just like her mom.
Cringe.
Why??
I’m sure that was hard shoes for her fill After being the daughter of a beautiful, famous movie star. She never was as pretty nor talented as her mom and I think there was a lot of jealousy.
She seems like she's trying to hard!!
She was 19 and a nationally known actor...I’d be crazy nervous too.
Trying to hard? How does one hard? How do I hard? Is it difficult to learn to hard?
@@ViaticalTree hahahahaha blows me away that people still can't use 'to' and 'too' properly.
I thought exactly opposite... she seemed confident, smart and very natural
@@ViaticalTree Exactly! They need to learn spelling and grammar before being critical of others.
Not much talent - she was lucky her parents had millions.
Interviewers were always so pervy. “I hate to see a young girl slump over because she thinks she’s too tall” after describing a 12 year old. Jesus... gross.
As a black woman, with a son in the military, I find her near total lack of awareness regarding the privilege of her upbringing almost endearing.
Pretty good considering she was a minority.
I have no idea what any of those things have to do with each other.
She's half Cuban.
@@ShannonL7 like anyone can tell the difference
Seeking Perspective
She's the whitest looking minority I have ever seen in my life. LoL!
Utter Nonsense
I don’t like her. Never have. Sorry
